I have iTunes 11.0.1 installed on my mac OSX 10.8.2 and Photoshop Elements 11.
When syncing my iPad, photoshop does not appear in the drop down menu in the photos section, only iPhoto or the option to select a folder appears.
I have re-installed iTunes but to no avail.
Other posts with similar issues suggest that iTunes 11 solves the problem but I have the latest version.
I have Elements 11 and am using iTunes 10.7 I have just created an album in Elements 11, but when I want it to sync with my Ipad using iTunes, the new album does not appear in the list. Albums created earlier, using Elements 8, show up ok.

It shows the shadow in the layers palette, but it's grayed out (on the one that's not working). I tried converting the text to outlines... same thing. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a transparent canvas and would like to put a "square" on it. I'd like the content inside the square to be transparent as well, but I'd like to apply the "Drop Shadow" and "Outer Glow" style to the box, while keeping the inside of it transparent.
When I try to do this, nothing occurs because the "square" is empty. The only way I can get the shadow to occur is if I fill in the box with a color, such as white, first. However, then the center isn't transparent how I'd like it to be.
I just upgraded to photoshop elements 11. When I attempt to sync photos in iTunes (to synch with my iPhone), Photoshop Elements appears in the drop down and when I select it, it finds all the "albums" in the catalog. However, when I select an album to sync, iTunes indicates 0 photos are available in the album.
I'm running photoshop elements 11, iTunes 11.0.1.12, Windows 8 Pro.
if I try to sync "all photos and albums" it still reports that there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've tried to make new albums, which iTunes "sees" the names, but there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've also tried to sync with a folder (file system) which works just fine.
I am sure i saw that somewhere but how do i get the icons to show back instead of the bare text list of the drop down menus? In the old versions, it was easier to find my way around if i had to change version and the list might not have been in the same order, or if i was making a tutorial and someone had a PSP in a different language; i could just display the icon instead of the name for the other person to be able to identify which tool i was talking about. But in later versions, they are gone. How do i get them back?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I ran Photoshop Extended (full) on my computer, it ran perfectly. But now that I purchased Elements 11, lag when moving the cursor through drop down menus. The cursor freezes up for a split second while I'm going through them, and does so repeatedly. I have the latest drivers for my graphics card. It's an AMD firepro 8900. I have an i7 with 16GB of ram. I'm on windows 7.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having the greatest dificulty adding a shadow eccect to my photo, the tutorial is nothing like the software I am using, I have made the layers the back ground then croped my immage made i wanted to place on the background but when I try and use the Shadow drop down feature the bos when i hit control T is not controling the shadow but a copy of the image i want the to be shadowed withthe shadow, I am only guessing at this point but I think what I need to do is have a layer that has the shadow only but I am at odds on how to do It! I have found a tutoral video on line but the software is nothing like what I have I am in trial but at this point I am quite agervated and may soon deside on another photo editing software. the effect i am trying to accomplish is place a dino at the lake with my grandson in it he loves dino dan and wanted to create a pic for him!

Finally decided to go to Apple store as desperate now to update my iPad 2 to OS 5. Today spent 3 hrs in Apple store with a Genius (but also PC expert), & even he was unable to get rid of an 'old' installation of Bonjour to enable iTunes update. A final conclusion was that it was linked to Photoshop. Ours is CS4.

But when I go to Layer Style and try to get to Style Settings, Style Settings is greyed out. (The text in quesiton is already selected.)
In fact, I've tried everything possible to get Style Settings to become engaged and have not been able to do that.
Also, when I go into Effects and try to add cool effect (torn paper, glowing edges, etc.) to the text, it automatically changes the color of my text. For example, my text is orange and when I tried "glowing edges" it changed the text to olive drab... and it certainly didn't glow.
Reinstalled a number of times. Program is jumping or bouncing when in use.drop down windows not working,Fonts etc. must type in the font I want.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter downloading PSE11 and starting the trial version, all drop down lists are greyed out and locked....File, Edit, Windows, Layers, etc...all lists have the text in grey and are not available for use...I am not able to do or save anything.
I have tried opening an image and editing it...and still the same problem.
Trial versions are supposed to be fully functional...and yet nothing is functioning...

But I can't figure out how to disengage this effect. I started using the clone stamp tool after I was done with drop shadow, and now all of my clone stamps have drop shadows!
I don't want no more drop shadow. How do I get it to stop? I've looked and looked and don't see anything obvious.

I have a very simple question, for which I can find NO answer: since I upgraded my Mac OS to Lion, I can no longer grab an image -- or, most importantly, several images from several locations on my several drives -- then drag and drop them on the PS Elements 10 icon in my Dock, or on the PS Elements 10 icon in my Applications folder, and have PS Elements 10 automatically boot open, and load these images into the Editor workspace. I try it, and PS Elements 10 just sits there and refuses to open. I could do this in Snow Leopard, and I can do this in Lion with EVERY other app I have (providing I'm dragging and dropping files that the apps recognize). As I have many images in many files, this is, obvious
