View 1 RepliesI just upgrade to Windows8 x64 and I'm using Illustrator 64 CS6.  I am trying to drag and drop a TIF file off my desktop in to a document like I have so many times before in Illustrator but my cursor is showing the 'No' symbol (circle with line thru it).
Â
It is working in Photoshop tho.
I am running elemens 11 on windows 8 with a touch screen conputer. when I try to use the Move tool, I get the boxes around the image but I can't get it to drag and drop. What can I do?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn my previous version of Elements, I was able to duplicate a layer (which was a picture) and then drag and drop a new picture into that layer. How can I do this with Elements 12, since the drag and drop option doesn't work?
Â
I am using this for a "scrapbook" photo page, where there are multiple photos and text on the page.
I just downloaded and installed PSE11 trial to do some experiments. I wanted to change to another window I had open, the Windows taskbar wouldn't un hide, this is a deal breaker if there is not a solution. I prefer not to minimize a window I prefer to switch from one to the other. Windows Vista
View 3 Replies View RelatedElemets 11 stopped working with the "windows is checking for a solution" message but nothing after that. I have tried the Ctrl,Alt,shift. Delete Elements settings but this has not worked.
View 12 Replies View RelatedA rather bizarre issue this. I have reinstalled Elements 10 on a system with Win 8 64 bit. If I attempt to crop a portrait format photo e.g. 2009px x 3034px to 1920 x 2400, the crop frame for the width falls outside the photo. Cropping a landscape photo works correctly but the problem persists even if the portrait photo is rotated to 'landscape'.If I crop the same portrait photo on an XP system, there is no problem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOk just took the leap to Windows 8 and when reviewing the Reliabity Report in Windows PSE11 is showing up as stopped working, and it is causing some performance issues. it is because I dont have Quick Time installed. Installed Quick Time still have the problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am working with vectors from AI as smartobjects in PS. In CS6 the dropshadow effect started to look weird. It's to dark, offset and to big. If I scale the smartobject in PS the dropshadow changes, too. But it's never as it's supposed to be.Here is a screenshot. Left is AI, middle PS CS5, right CS6. URL....

Is there a setting I have change to make PS CS6 handle smartobjects with effects nicely again?!
I can't drag and drop from windows explorer into Draw x6. it didn't really bother me until today.
1. open coreldraw, new document or no document.
2. open windows explorer or any folder or any file manager.
3. Drag a jpg from the folder/explorer to Draw. and you are met with: Ø

I just applied a drop shadow to a shape and then went to apply to another and suddenly it's not doing anything.

I've recently updated my laptop to a Windows 8 however I am experiencing the screen blacking out/flickering when using Photoshop. I've changed the Drawing Mode in the Graphics Processor Settings to Basic as previously suggested on this site yet nothing has changed?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen using a tool such as the clone tool or a selection tool, the screen flashes and sometime goes temporarily black. I reinstalled PS no change. PS system screen says I'm running NT, but I'm running Windows 8 Pro. How can I fix this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedCopy drop shadow properties is not working for me. When I click on the object to copy to, it tells me, "you did not click on an object." What do I need to do?
Edit: actually, I'm seeing that this is not working in Contour, either. And it may not be working in other effects as well, although I haven't tested those.
I recently got a new computer and loaded my Photoshop CS4 on to it and the features of Open GL such as holding down the z key and using the scroll on the mouse to zoom in and out and also the left and right bracket key inceasing or decreasing the size of the brush do not work. The new computer is using Windows 7 64 bit and has an AMD quad core with 8 Gb RAM. I checked to make sure that Open GL is selected in the Edit>Preference>Performance where it also tells me that the graphics card does support accelerated graphics for Open GL.Â
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am trying to run Photoshop CS5 on Windows 7 64bit. Everytime I open the program, I get an error saying "Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working", immediately after the splash screen goes away and the main gui opens. The only option on the error is "Close Program".
Â
I am on a computer with an i7 processor and 12GB of memory. I have two Nvidia GTS 250 video cards, running four monitors.
Â
Over the course of the last day, I have reformatted my computer, and reinstalled Windows twice. I have reinstalled the CS5 Master Suite more times than I can remember. I have also downloaded and installed the latest video card drivers from Nvidia.
Â
I continue to have the same problem every time I try to open any of the programs in the CS5 suite. The only time I have come close to getting it to work was immediately after installing the new Nvidia drivers, before restarting my computer. I was able to open it one time without it crashing, Once I restarted my computer, Photoshop continued to give me the same error every time I try to open it.
Â
I have no other software installed on my computer. It is a brand new installation of Windows 7.I have been on the phone with Adobe technical suuport for about an hour and a half, and I have yet to get a single suggestion other than attempting an install with my network cable unplugged. Other than that, they seem to be fond of transfering me back and forth between departments (and asking me to repeat all of my information every time).
I use the "Open with..." command in the Windows right-click context menu all the time to open .jpg and other image files in Photoshop. I don't want to directly associate .jpgs, etc, to Photoshop because most of the time I just want to view them quickly in Windows Photo Viewer. But every once in a while, I need to open one in PS, so I had been using the "Open with..." menu command. This worked fine in every version of CS that I've ever used.
Â
Until, all of a sudden, when I installed CS5.5, "Open with..." no longer works. Right-clicking on a .jpg, for instance, doesn't even show Photoshop as a valid option for an application in which to open the file (not in the "Recommended Programs" list or even the "Other Programs" list). So I have to go and browse for an "Additional Program". I'm using Windows 7 64-bit, but whether I choose the photoshop.exe in Program Files or Program Files (x86), the jpg still just opens in the default application (Windows Photo Viewer).
Â
Same for PDFs (opening in either Photoshop or Illustrator).PSDs open fine, directly, when I double-click the file. This really seems like a CS issue, since "Open with" still works fine for other non-Adobe applications. How can I get my "Open with" menu to "see" Photoshop again as a valid option and pass the filename correctly so that it actually opens the file?

Photoshop CS4 ExtendedATi FireGL V3400Windows 7 x64 RC Build 72294GB RAM My graphics card meets the required specification for OpenGL in Photoshop CS4, but it is not enabled (greyed out). Has anybody else had problems with CS4 OpenGL in Windows 7 x64? As a Microsoft Action Pack subscriber, I will actually be required to fully upgrade to Windows 7, a month after receiving it in mid-September. If this is a problem due to CS4 not being fully compatible with Win7
I was working on a drawing file when my ribbon went haywire. My layer drop down seems frozen so it only shows the current layer and the hatch edit ribbon does not function properly.
The issue with the layer drop down is if I select a line, fill, etc. on any layer the layer drop down on the home ribbon does not change to show the layer that item is on and if I select multiple items on different layers which usually causes the drop down to go blank it still shows the current layer. The object color, line thickness and linetype all change on the properties tab to show the properties of the selected item so the entire home ribbon is not frozen. If I scroll through the layer drop down and select a layer to move the selected item to a new layer AutoCAD responds *Invalid selection* Expects a point or Window/Last/Crossing/BOX/All/Fence . . .
The hatch edit ribbon is completely useless. The angle and scale boxes are greyed out and if I select any of the buttons (Set Origin, change hatch pattern, etc.) AutoCAD again responds with *Invalid selection* . . .
The only CUI shown is the ACAD.CUIX and I have done a Reset and Restore, changed the workspace, restarted AutoCAD and restarted my computer. What am I missing?
AutoCAD 2011with current patches
Windows XP, SP3
Suddenly having an issue where the "Fill" command is not working. It doesn't matter if I use Shift+Backspace or Shift+F5 or by going to Edit>Fill. It goes through the motions and the Fill action is recorded in the history panel, but the layer is not filled. The only way I've successfully filled is with the Paint Bucket, and that's just not as convenient.

It is happening on any PSD file that I'm opening.
If I try saving for Web and using the slice tool which is on that toolbar, I can create a box around something but as soon as I finish dragging with the mouse the square disappears. It is as if I really am banned from slicing -
