View 2 RepliesVideo editing feature of PS CC is awesome and I have applied many filters to the video clip after converting it to a smart object. This works great for PS filters (e.g., oil paint) and NIK filters. However when I export > render video with a Topaz filter (e.g., Simplify 4 > Painting II) the process goes through the motions, I see the topaz function being called on each frame but after rendering the output .mp4 file doesn't have the Topaz effects applied.

I have tried it with several different machines and several different files and none of them work.
I want to render a scene. In Render Setup/Render Output/Save Files, the Save File box is ghosted, so I can't save the files. What's causing this? I tried rebooting Max, but that didn't work either.

However, if I saved to Multi-picture Format, I would get the familiar .jpg and everything worked fine for a while. This morning I cannot find a file format in "save as" that results in the .jpg file extension.

This all looks good; however, few of the changes I make in this screen persist next time I open the "create disc" window.

I have read elsewhere that this saving does not save and that the user must follow this up with file>save and I have without success.

Am using Autocad LT 2013 on Windows platform using Fusion Ware on a Mac Pro. This is a company owned computer and all files are saved to a server. This problem began occurring after we returned to work on Jan 2. I will be working in drawing and save regularly. Additionally autosave is set for 5 minute intervals.
Several times a day I get a message saying
"Unable to save drawing\serverfilename.dwg. Drawing saved to \serverfilenamesavF676.tmp."
When I check the folder where the drawing is supposed to be there is a "filename.dwl" and the "sav676.tmp." files but the original .dwg doesn't show up in the list.
If I save as the file to my desktop it is fine, but I then have to move it back to the server per company policy. This is extremely tedious to say the least. This happens several times a day so far.
The IT guy has twice reset the permissions for the Directory so the files are not Read Only (although when I check the main client folder and sub folders from my computer the Read Only option is checked and I cannot change this).
Another Autocad user in the office, LT 2013, says this has happened to him but only occasionally.
Also, several times I have noticed an alert pop-up that says something about "Unable to map network drive G:\" but clicking on the notice just expands the message. G Drive is the primary server in our office. The only PC computers in our office are used for Autocad, the rest are all Apple products and the IT tech is a Mac guy.
When I'm working with a .tif file I don't have ".jpg" as an option under "save as". Is this something new with Adobe CS3 that I haven't noticed until now? Or is there a setting that I need to change somewhere to be able to have this option? I seem to remember using this option quite a bit in the past....

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a PSD file I have been working on in CS3. This was created from a .nef raw file and saved in 16 bits/channel.
When I go to save the image as a jpeg and convert back to 8 bits/channel Image => Mode => 16 bits/channel is selected and greyed out, along with the 8 bits/channel option. So at the moment I am unable to save the image the image as a jpeg.
I have a file that is in PSD format. After running a black and white action against it, not allowing me to save in JPEG format.
I"ve tried everything, flattening the image, no luck. In fact only a few options come up; raw, psd and tiff.
Is there anything I can do to get this to a JPEG format?
Why aren't the other file format options coming up?
I have a .dwg file and when I try to save as 2010 DXF format, I get the following message:
"Unable to save to drawing c:projectslayout.dxf.
Drawing saved to c:projectssavF29D.tmp"
If I try to "save as" in DWG format with a different name in the same directory then it works. Also, there is no "savF29D.tmp" anywhere. I need the drawing DXF format.
I am currently using Acad 07 on Windows 7. I save my drawings to another pc on our network. Yesterday said pc was updated to windows 7 and now I am unable to save. I can save the files on my computer then move them over but it isn't ideal

View 5 Replies View RelatedIt seems I'm unable to save a png (or gif) with transparency.
I want to convert a white background to a transparent background so I perform the steps below but unfortunately the exported image still has a white backgroud. I've tried exporting to gif but that doesn't make a difference. Here are the steps:
1. I first add Alpha Channel
2. Select color to alpha and select white (this gets rid of the white background but now my image looks ugly as all the white is gone and it's partially transparent so I perform the next steps to add the white back to the image)
3. Duplicate the layer
4. On the second layer I add a layer mask and initialize it to white
5. On the second layer I use the bucket to color it all white
6. With the second layer selected I meticulously erase the white background knowing that if I accidently erase too much it wont be a big deal - it will only begin to expose the ugly image that.
7. I'm happy with the image so I merge the layers
8. Export to png and I make certain the "Save color values from transparent pixels" is unchecked
why the image I see in GIMP is losing the transparency when I export?
What do I need to do to be able to once again save files as pdf with out freezing up AI

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm using Photoshop CS5 for Mac, and when I try to save files as TGA or GIF, the Layers option is not available and the result is a flattened, single layer.
• Files I am working with are 8bit RGB.
• Photoshop is set to 32bit, not 64bit.
• There are no extra channels other than RGB.
• Switching files to indexed color doesn't work because it asks to merge all layers.
• I can open Gif files containing layers, but I can't then Save or Save As with layers.
Below is the save dialog box as it appears when i try to save a Gif or TGA.
I am using a licensed version of Photoshop CS5, already updated to the latest patch. However, for some reason my copy of Photoshop seems to be missing the option to save a file as .tga.
From reading multiple forum posts relating to Photoshop, the function to save as .tga should already be built in, and not require a plugin.
There may also be some other missing file formats that I am not aware of.
Paint shop pro 4. Patches up to date. I am unable to save files my files as .jpgs. I can save them as .psp files however. I was able to save them last week, so something has changed in my settings, but where to look. 10 years using PSP and I have to say...dislike all versions after PSP XI.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThis is my first use of Video Studio X3. My first aim is to simply split an mp4 video file into 6 parts. A simple thing to ask of fancy video editing software, right?
So I dragged the video file into the storyboard area. I used the "multi-trim video" feature and did the mark-in/mark-out thing and, seemingly, was successful in sub-dividing the original video into 6 smaller ones. Following the documentation, I selected "save trimmed videos" and get the error "The frame size (1440x1080) of the video file does not match the settings and therefore cannot be trimmed." (the original video is indeed 1440x1080)
Okay, fine. So I go to the settings, find the project properties, and discover that I cannot choose a frame size any larger than 720x480. Why can't I simply change the project settings to the necessary 1440x1080 frame size? The VideoStudio user guide is completely useless with any troubleshooting, as it gives the impression that the multi-trim video process is simple and flawless, as if nothing could possibly go wrong.
X3 on Windows 7 (can replicate this on both Home Premium and Pro). I migrated from XP and am very very happy with the way X3 runs on Windows 7 but I am having a big problem. I had a library of customized Windows Media Encoder settings (different bit rates, frame sizes, etc.) for output as .WMV files. When I try to copy or customize any of the existing encoder profiles (which all work just fine) the system does not allow me to save. I have set full permissions for the logged user and made sure the directory is not read only.
View 14 Replies View RelatedHave an easy file open and am trying to save a copy with a new name and Inventor either does nothing or crashes. Original full path and file name contains 243 characters (counting from drive letter to extension) New one will have 247 characters.
This is supposedly within the path/file name character limits for windows 7, which according to the ms website is 260 minus one for the null character at the end making it 259. So I am over 10 characters shy of the limit dictated by the OS.
Is inventor placing a stricter limit on the number of characters in the full path/file name? If so, why?
Obviously, working up the tree and adjusting upper level folder names is not an option as that would break every link in every assembly at that level or lower.
