View 2 RepliesI have a hdri image in the environment map slot that I want to use for illumination and reflection purposes but I don't want it to show in the actual render, is there a way to do this? I've tried adding the hdri to a skylight but it doesn't give the reflections. I'm using mental ray by the way I know in vray you can use a map for overall reflections and one for overall GI is there a similar way for Mental Ray?hide in actual render?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI try to render an environment Map with video post processing. But i cant get it to work. The background (here created with an nebula script) is just white after rendering, the standard render works. Look at the screenshot, i think it will explain my problem better then my poor English vocabulary is capable.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI wonder if you can switch background with the all environment into black like autocad page.
My friend likes to change it from time to time, to relax his eyes during technical drawing. The background is easy, but what the rest...
How I can render my model with a different background without having to use "fog"?.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIm trying to render a model without the background . I've changed the resolution to 1920x1080 and it seems like autocad rendering all the background+the model to this resolution, so the final result is a lot of background and a model that you cant see the details. the file should be a jpeg or other common picture format but in high resolution.the picture attached is what i got

Is it the case that background image will be forced off when Sky Background and Illumination is turn on? I remember it should be possible as I did it before, but I am having this problem now.
View 0 Replies View RelatedI have created a moving background and I am rendering it in PHOTO JPEG format but when I convert it to .GIF to post it on my website, it takes away all the high quality. It is a moving background, what is the best format to render it in to post it as the website's background?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a 3d animation project I created successfully in PS CS4. It has a transparent background. I need my final movie in a .SWF format. In photoshop,when I render the animation to video (.MOV) it renders with a black background, loosing the transparency. How can I render this to video with the alpha channel intact so that the background is transparent?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've rendered out hundreds of these before in 3DS max 2011 with no issue but in 2012 and 2013 the background colour of my ambient occlusion renders are black instead of being white for all the objects selected except for the first one. What's going wrong?
I set the colour to white in the render to texture window and if I select a single model it works fine but if I select the same model plus others, the first one is saved fine but the others all have a black background. I'm saving them as TGAs which is my preferred option and as I said has been working in 2011.
I am trying to render a scene, but without having a grey background. I have tried the following techniques
1. Tried adding a sun and sky illumination, its renders the image perfectly but this sadly brings in a greyish background.
2. Tried creating a view in model space and then I added a white background image, but it seems to darken the render, although it does sort the white background problem
3. Finally I tried creating a viewport in paperspace, this sorts the white background problem, but I then lose all of my shadows.
All of the above are based on a perspective view/angle
I saw a max demo at a show where they shattered the wall in a video/photo. The artist baked the background image to three planes (floor and two walls) like shown in the illustration, and then exploded one of these planes. It involved some kind of texture baking, but I didn't catch the whole process.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't get clips to render to the stone in the background. I am running 2012 SP2. I looked and the Backburner version is 2013.
How do I get rid of this? I have run the uninstaller, but that is less than a complete un-install it seems.
How would I setup a render scene with a white background? Kind of like a photo studio? I am working on a project for a prototype vehicle that I need to do a presentation for. I want the vehicle to be the main focus.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been playing with GIMP now for several months and love the program. One problem I have run into is I cannot figure out render the background of an image transparent so it can be merged with another image. Now, I have tried to read the instructions numerous times, but I have no background in understanding what a path is and several other terms. I have failed time and again and finally decided this is not something I can learn to do on my own.
Warning: I'll be honest. I have no experience in any form of image manipulation and even simple things might need to be explained.
I´ve a problem with rendering. The background-color gets mixed with the object. I´ve already reinstalled Autocad but it does n´t fixes my problem. What could be the problem?
It looks like this:
It should look like this:
Is it possible to render timeline effects in the background on a single machine given the right licenses? I'm finding that CFX in particular take a lot of time to render.
Is there anyway to speed things up? Do multiple graphics cards work? I have a Quadro 4000 and some kind of ATi card installed (in a mac pro) - does it make a difference which one the monitor is plugged into?
I keep getting a dialogue box that says "Revit was unable to render the view due to an unknown error during render calculations. The rendering operation will be canceled." The only option is to click "close" and when i do so, it continues to render but only the sky and grass. My buildings are not present.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe same scene, same settings, produce 2 very different outputs in max 2011 and 2012, render to texture for normals is currently useless in max 2012.
The blue one is a correct tangent normal map created from a sphere in max 2011, the colored one is the the one created inside max 2012 from the same objects and settings, and the last is another sample of normals generated in max 2012.
I have created a 3d model of a football stadium, but when I try to render it, it comes up with this message and it cannot render the scene. I've tried everything I can to fix it, but nothing has worked.
View 9 Replies View RelatedEach time I want to have batch render with 4 camera views. I thought it would provide me with elements along with it. But it just brings me only one file as I set .png.
I know it works with State Set by changing camera view. But Batch render should work too.
I can´t believe it. Save 50% Rendertime. Fix the Render Elements Bug with Render Optimizer V3! deactivate "contrast all Buffers" with RO V3, and you have the same speed as Vray Renderelements.2014 can comming! URL....
View 3 Replies View RelatedOkey, so I want to render a normal map directly from render production. Pretty much like the Viewport Filter "Normal map" in Mudbox. Can this be done? And I also want to make clear that I do not want to use "render to texture". I dont want to do any projection against an other mesh, I want to do it directly to the camera.

Is it possible to render an object to fit exactly into the render window. i.e If I have a plane object segmented into 512 * 512 segments and I randomly colour each polygon. If I render at 512*512 pixels, I would like to fit the plane exactly so that the rendered image shows 1 pixel per polygon.
Whilst you can select region to render its not that exact and is based on the visual window. can it be utilized with render blowup.
Basically I want to render a square object exactly ( no borders) at a large resolution, hence the need for render blowup so that I can render into smaller tiles.
Isn't there a way to show your environment map directly on your model? It's pretty tough to show a chrome-like material if it just shows up a solid color in the viewport.
I did some searches, but must be searching for the wrong things because the only thing I could find was how to show the environment in the Background of the viewport, but nothing about on the model/material.
When opening an assembly document via the API (inventorApplication.Documents.Open("path-to-document")), the browser pane and ribbon look like no document has been opened, even though the active environment (inventorApplication.UserInterfaceManager.ActiveEnvironment.DisplayName) is "Assembly".
View 2 Replies View RelatedList the undocumented environment variables in maya 2012 and what the do?
I have been fighting with geforce driver and configuration issues on vista x64 business and I keep seeing suggestions to set these variables
MAYA_SLOW_DRAWPIXELS = 1
MAYA_NO_VERTEX_ARRAY_SELECT = 1
MAYA_GEFORCE_SKIP_OVERLAY=1
MAYA_HOTBOX_USE_SOFTWARE = 1
But I cannot find them documented in maya 2012 so I am concerned that they are not implemented.
It's always low and there are no apparent way to make it use the full resolution. I love the renderer, but this little thing is very annoying. I have to composite multiple layers every time I need an image background in the environment.
Apparently there was a hack of sorts involved to force it to use less the full resolution I found on Youtube, but it really doesn't apply to me as I do want to use the full resolution. There should be an obvious setting for it somewhere, maybe in the render tab of the render dialog.
I've currently got a daylight system in place with an "mr physical sky" shader, but I've also got a 360° sky panorama with clouds.
Is there anyway of getting them both working together? I've set the sun so it appears in the right place in my scene, but the sky is too empty. Putting the Sky panorama blocks the sun. I've tried putting the map on a Geosphere with a circular UVW map modifier and have tried adjusting the opacity but I can't work it out.
