View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm writing an application in C++ that loads vector images from a source directory and convert them in bmp or other non vectorial format in the destination directory. I need to load CDR file also, but unfortunatly I can't find a documantation regarding the proprietary CDR file format.
Of course, these informations aren't published by Corel that maintain the secret of the format. But my question is: does Corel sell some SDK that provides some functions, callable directly from the source code written in c++, that permits the conversion of the file?
Whenever I open the batch conversion window a file always appears in the main file list window; I have to manually remove it (pressing clear) before using the browse button.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an older version of Photoshop, (7.0), but I'm sure the Batch Conversion Process is similar with all versions. I have a folder of photos, (large file sizes), I'd like to reduce each file size to a little bigger than a Thumnail size. This is hopefully something I can do bysetting the same parameters to all the photos. Here's what I've figured out (so far)FileAutomateBatchChoose Source FolderChoose Destination Folder That's about it - when I choose both folders, I can't seem to pull up the parameters to reduce the file sizes.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm using Radan 8.5 for cutting on a Kaliburn 2200 plasma. Looks like when I shut down Radan on Friday I did something wrong and lost all my settings. I did have three decimal place precision and imperial measurements but Monday everything was one point and metric. I have ACAD 2004, Radan 8.5 and Solid Works 2009 4.1 on my system under Windows XP.
1. (Radan) How do I change back to 3 digit imperial?
2. (Radan) Can I set up a profile so if it happens again I can revert back easily?
3. (Radan) When I make a drawing of a nest, I have to annotate it by hand everytime. Is there a way to automate it then modify the title? Kinda like this:
JC Fab
Program 001005XXX
where the XXX will change for each drawing.
4. (Radan) When I print the drawing nest it comes out very pale. I have black and white checked but it makes no difference. Can my pens be set wrong? How do I actually print black? The notation JC Fab mentioned above prints correctly.
5. (Solid Works or ACAD) Is there a way to import a Radan .sym file into SolidWorks or ACAD?
I received a 2013 dwg file and want to convert it to 2011. I am currently running C3D 2011. I used the DWG TrueView program and was able to convert the 2013 file to 2011, but none of the alignments, profiles or corridors converted over. How to convert a 2013 file to 2011 and get the alignments, profiles, corridors, etc., to convert over as well?

When I use Etransmit or file conversion i get a Fatal Error. when i uninstall the civil 3d object enabler, the problem goes away, but i need the object enabler and i need to convert files. Is this not a major issue that Autodesk would consider important enough to address, or is the object enabler minor in comparison to other issues?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've created the german battleship Tirpitz. It has about 4.2 million polygons. When i save the file as an ASCII its about 1.2 GB and when I save it as a Bin its about 650 MB. I created the scene in 3DS Max where it has a file size of about 430 MB
My question is: Can I somehow shrink the size of the file without using a zip program.
I have attached the original DWG file that I am trying to get into 3DS Max. When I imported it, in the Import Options box, I played with Auto Smooth and Curve Steps and it didn't seem to work.

I'm trying to assign a jpg file to an eyeball and the file (containing the retina of the eyeball) comes out enlarged, even though it is not supposed to.
I'm using Blinn Material and hypershade to bring that texture to the eyeball, but every single time I try it, it comes out enlarged (see image attached). I've made sure I click on the Planar Mapping key before I try to copy the image onto my eyeball. I've also tried modifying the size of the image on Photoshop but not luck. If it matters, I'm using Windows 7.
When i am taking uv snapshot, an error is seeing.

I’m a 3DS Max transfer. In 3DS Max there is an option to open an image file for modeling reference in a separate window within Max which always stays on top. This is NOT an image plane to model off of but an IMAGE FILE, a picture i can get the details from that don’t show in a drawing or plane. Currently I open images or groups of images(NOT SEQUENCES) in the default OS file viewer program. This is fine with a dual monitor setup, where I throw the reference images to the other screen. But what about when I’m on my laptop on the go or have no other monitor? Currently I’d have to open the same program, have it underneath MAYA and flip back and forth, which is a very big hassle over time. I’d like to be able to open a small, resizable window WITHIN maya and view the image file(or files!) there so I can move it around my workspace and glance over to it in an instant.
I still want my four panels or all of my panel space to work with. With it being resizable i can even shrink it down to get the gist in the upper right corner where no icons are even zoom in on parts with such a small window.
As CAD administrator at my company, which is in the process of implementing Inventor/Vault, I am quite sold on the Layout Modeling/Multi-body part modeling functionality that Inventor supports. Â Among other things I believe there is a large payoff in assembly stability and simplicity. Â However, this workflow is very different from the conventional methods of modeling individual parts and manually constraining assemblies. URLs....

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm an architecture student who has high interest in 3d modeling.I would like to learn how to design something in a very organic form for a change.I can model very accurately and fast what I need on Autocad most of the time, but it seems like autocad 3d modeling is not the best tool to be using for modeling something very curvy and random.
Some Examples: [URL] .....
So Basically, I want to be able to first sculpt the general exterior form I have sketched out or in my mind, and not only that, I would like to model the interior portions so I can have renders from inside the building. (Like the ons from the examples)
Although in architecture, 3D modeling comes into play after the 2d drafting, I don't think it's the same case for organic shapes. I would have a general layout sketched out on paper how the building would be formed, but not necessarily accurately measured. Then I would model the building to cut the sections through, and extract them out along with floor plans thus creating a very accurate orthographic drawings as well as gorgeous renders.or just poly edit with soft selection and other modifiers?
The best that work out was giving it a path constrain to a sphere changing to a rectangle and making some snapshot which it does not give me the specific control I need.
See image to see what I am trying to model, image is from NADAA, and am trying to do something similar to this but I can't.Â
How to create a quick sponge (or pores) look to an object without using materials?
Background: I am creating masonry and mortar. I need to zoom real close to the mortar so I can see the pores. Then I am going to have a blueish object pass thru the mortar to show water penetrating the mortar. Or something like that. I can't use a material to represent the look because I need to have an object pass thru it.
Every thing was just fine but at particular moment I noticed that viewports are not updating when I'm working. Sometime there is note ''inactive'' so to see changes I need to click on viewport to see them. I just can't work
p.s. In viewport configuration/rendering method/apply to: All viewports. I tried to google.
