So the gizmo that pops up whenever you select an object to move, scale, or rotate has gone into some default mode. I can't move things manually on the z axis, and when I scale objects, it only makes them bigger or smaller to what its original shape was. Trying to figure out what I pressed to cause this, but I am not sure what it was and I don't want to make things worse.
None of the gizmos for any tools are showing up, other than basic transforms. Specifically, UV projection (planar, cylindrical) and extruding are the two that I noticed. I don't know what I did for this to happen.
Also, I just noticed that the ability to edit the attributes (height, width, segments) of default geometry (cube, sphere, cylinder, etc.) is not available.
How can 2 sub-objects (modifier gizmos in this case) be aligned to each other?
Eg:
There are 2 similar objects, with a bend modifier applied. They have different orientations, but the 2 bend gizmos should be in the same orientation. (a stack of a few papers with slightly different orientations, curled from the corner)
I know there are at least 2 options, both are not very practical.
- Play with a compass helper instead of directly adjusting the first gizmo, and align all gizmos with the compass. This is a problem if you already have the first gizmo adjusted. It's also not practical to keep the compass and the gizmos in synch. And would make fine adjustments hard, as you wouldn't see the result live.
- Calculate the parent object's orientation and the gizmo orientation to find the gizmo's orientation to the world, then calculate the target gizmo's orientation. Or make a script.
i'm in action schematic and if i reset any node (for example images/surface) then some parameter is still not affected. For example : the blend type and surface type and couple more are not affected by that reset function. Is this a bug ?
I used to know how to reset the tools and settings but is is no longer working for me. I mean holding down the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift. Do you have to do it at the program start. I'm trying to add better photos to my site. Instead of just stock photos. Here it is, my site.
i change the default setting of my brush tool palette now i want to use brush of grass shape, but i don't know how to get it back,i want my defult brush tool palatte setting back,
I am working on a model that came with lights and textures but I deleted those to render faster but all I am getting are white and black renders. Can I reset the project to default lighting/render settings without loosing my modeling work?
What I want is to hit the render tab and get the same result as if I just opened max, made a cube and hit render without any special lights or render settings.
I seem to be having some issues using symmetry. The front of the model is on the lower screen. I am trying to mirror it on the x axis. Anyway nothing works. Is there a way to reset the position of the model to 0 so I can sym it ?
I am new to AutoCAD and am trying to self teach myself using the autocad bible as a reference. I am on chapter 3 and was following the suggestions for moving the ribbon by undocking it. Great, but now I can't get it back to the top where it started. It moves left and right just fine. I tried undo 100, no luck. I tried restarting my computer but it has now transfered to all of my practice drawings as well, all have the ribbon on the side.
I'm using a reset at the top of my css but still getting a total of 20 px added to width and height of all my edge comps when I place the oam file in my html. My xml file says the dimensions of my file are 202x434 but they appear to be picking up 20 pixels for width and height somewhere.
I could change this manually but I'd like to know where it is ppicking up those extra pixels so I can take care of it now rather than wonder why something isn't working correctly down the line. I have a resets that puts 0px for margin, border, padding on all tags.URL...
im doing this for class and the book tells me to hold trl Al and shift as soon as i open photoshop. this isnt working and because im doing this for school im on a bit of a time crunch.
Occasionally Photoshop will crash or I have to force close Photoshop. When this happens the settings within Photoshop reset back to the default settings. This is a pain as I must then go back and reset everything again. This has been happening since CS5 and also happens in CS6.
I have photoshop CS6. The eraser and brush tool is not working properly. I get a small dot on the page irrespective of the size of the eraser or brush that I select. Also I'm not sure if this is a feature of CS6. I've produced a graphic that involves a large number of layers, on past versions of photoshop if I needed to edit a layer I would select that layer and go to it on the page and edit it. On CS6 after I select the layer when I put my cursor anywhere on the page it would automatically select the layer that I am touching, which is similar to Coreldraw or Illustrator.
I have photoshop cs6 but it has some problem. The settings file/preferences file reset automatically itself after sometimes and all my saved configuration is lost
I tried reinstalling and also deleting preferences file but nothing worked.
Adjustments I make to images will not stick. I read that this might be because I need to rest my preferences. I can only find a lesson for how to do this for Windows 7 or XP. I have Windows 8 and the directions do not apply as the path does not lead to the folders I need.
I'm running 64bit CS6 and have 24GB of ram. GTX 660ti. This shouldnt be a problem and has not been. My psd which is almost 500MB usually takes 30-60 seconds to open and once i am in it works fine. It just took me a good 5-10 minutes to open the psd. The efficiency is at 19%* and i dont know what that asterisk means. I allocated 22GB of ram to it, 8 cache levels and such and it's still being really slow. Should I try reinstalling? This is very cumborsome and would like to fix this problem asap.
this also happened randomly. The program wasn't even closed. My brushes reset, too. I even tried rebooting, and nothing.also, photoshop now uses up to like 20gb of my ram automically without any files open in the program. Before it was about 6-9gb.
Using Photoshop CS6, I opened a raw file in Camera Raw and made some adjustments. Then closed the file without opening it in Photoshop. I opened the same file in Camera Raw again and it remembered all of my adjustments. I want to reset the raw file back to its original before I made any adjustments. Is there a way to do that without having to go through each setting and changing them one by one?
My 3D camera view is acting kooky when I go into 3D mode. It's like I'm underneath the text looking up at it, and no matter what settings I mess with I can not get the view that I want. Yes I have went to all the little drop down window and clicked on default view and I still get this same underneath view. Is their a way to reset ALL default settings in PS Cs6.
After making a second adjustment, "reset to adjustment defaults" button reset to previous adjustments made by the user, not to default values...And, secondly, only preview is resetting, sliders do not reset to previous adjustment made by the user ...
This morning, I opened CS6 and noticed that Open Recent was grayed out. So I opened my most recent from Bridge and found almost all my settings had reverted to default, except for Menu and Keyboard Shortcuts. Workspace still had the correct name.
I have CS6 Prefs saved on the desktop but I chose to rest most by hand to see if anything might foul up. It didn't so I renamed the final settings to a different workspace. In so doing, I lost my keyboard shortcuts so I had to reset those as well. Of course, I realize that I didn't have to do all that, I could have simply substituted the saved .psp, but since this revert was not as a result of my resetting prefs manually, I wanted to see what if anything might be wrong and perhaps interfere with manual settings.
The strangest behavior showed up when I went to reboot the computer then open PS. It took a very long time for PS to open, and during that time a blue square would flash on screen behind the PS Loading Icon, which is something I have not seen before.

Examination of Events showed no problems other than an inability to run backup today because the Backup HD was unavailable. It may have been trying to do so while I opened PS as I note several attempts to do so in Events log.
when I decide to start over in the Liquify filter, I press the ALT key which turns Cancel to Reset and click it. In my case, nothing is happening. I am expecting all the changes made in that session to be removed so I can start over. Oddly, all the changes remain intact.
This morning line width in the Object Properties flyout were in points. This afternoon they are in mm. Where I can change it back to Points.
I've had this happen before and I understand it is probably something I'm doing but it is frustrating that these options are not obvious.
Question #2 - Is there some way to reset all possible settings/options/configurations back to the original defaults? I'd like to go back to the way things were when I first installed X3.
Is there a way to reset changes in a partlist. If I have changed in partlist, the changes in BOM can't be shown in partlist. I don't want any "blue" fields in the partlist, they are static.
Some how I have made it so the LINE TOOL is a Thin ARROW. I have no idea how I did it and I really need this reset to how it should be.
I cannot even understand HOW I could have made the Line Tool anything other than the Line as it's the Custom styles where you can select what Custom sytle cursor to use.
My colour pciker doesnt show the full range of colours in the side bar anymore like it used to. It only shows a small range unless I click on the edge in the main colour selection window then it shows the next range. How do I reset this back to the default?
