I have photoshop cs6 but it has some problem.The settings file/preferences file reset automatically itself after sometimes and all my saved configuration is lost
I tried reinstalling and also deleting preferences file but nothing worked.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have installed AutoCAD 2013 and Inventor and here is my problem. This versions of AutoCAD crashes a lot, usually related to making pdf's, but that, while problematic in itself, is a secondary issue and not the reason for my email. When it crashes, it rests all my custom work place settings, even after I have saved and locked them. Restarting AutoCAD takes a few minutes, but this is VERY annoying and time consuming to reset everything everytime this crashes. I have never encountered this problem with previous versions of CAD.

I know that I have already ask this, but I want to rephrase this better.
I can't find the "reset setting" button from edit on My maya 2014 software.
The reason the tutorial is using the "rest setting" is to adjust the width, height and depth of the cube I have out there by using numbers as its measurement.
I don't know if there are any other buttons that can do the same job, or is there another way to find this button... I can't progress my learning until I know what to do about this.
Is there a way in AutoCAD 2013 to have it automatically change to a certain layer when you do common tasks. I am wondering if there is a system variable, or a routine that I could automatically load when I start AutoCAD to do this. It would also be nice that the layer would then go back to the original layer that was being used prior to the command. What are my options for doing this.
For instance when I load an xref I would like it to go on the layer; A-XREF. When I insert a block I would like it to go on the layer; 0, when I create a new dimension I would like it to go on the A-DIMS layer, when I create a hatch it would set to the layer A-WALL-PATT, when I add a leader with text it would go to A-ANNO-NOTE, etc..
I have installed Autodesk Smoke 2013, i selected FCP7 keyboard setting, But the keyboard setting is changed automatically.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy company has many clients that each have different pen table, text styles, directories, templates etc. What we would like to do is create a toolbar/ribbon that does the following but not limited too:
1) Change the CUI file to the current client
2) repath AutoCAD so that the program will find templates, textstyles, pen tables, etc unique to that client (we keep each client setup files like this in separate directories)
I am sure there are other variables, pathes, toolbars etc we will need to change as well. What I would like is a toolbar button or ribbon button to do this seamlessly so that each user can quickly and efficiently change from one client to another.
how I can accomplish this or variables that would need to be changed in a LISP routine etc
How does the “Automatically write changes into XMP” setting relate to DNGs? If I keep this unchecked, is metadata still automatically saved into DNGs?

View 3 Replies View RelatedBest practices for setting up systems in a lab environment. We have a lab enviroment of about 200 systems that access AutoCad, Inventor, Mechanical and others.
We need to have a customized interface come up when Autocad is opened by students.I have read that you can do this with profiles and workspaces and also with loading a acad.lsp file.
In the past we have just copied the Windows admin profile used to customize AutoCad to the default profile. In AutoCad 2013 that does not seem to grab everything. It doesn't seem to be the best way to do what we need.
We will also be moving to Windows 7 soon which will also cause an issue.I want to find the best way to do this with out having to deal with the Windows profile.
I used to know how to reset the tools and settings but is is no longer working for me. I mean holding down the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift. Do you have to do it at the program start. I'm trying to add better photos to my site. Instead of just stock photos. Here it is, my site.

This is a pain as I must then go back and reset everything again. This has been happening since CS5 and also happens in CS6.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have photoshop CS6. The eraser and brush tool is not working properly. I get a small dot on the page irrespective of the size of the eraser or brush that I select. Also I'm not sure if this is a feature of CS6. I've produced a graphic that involves a large number of layers, on past versions of photoshop if I needed to edit a layer I would select that layer and go to it on the page and edit it. On CS6 after I select the layer when I put my cursor anywhere on the page it would automatically select the layer that I am touching, which is similar to Coreldraw or Illustrator.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm running 64bit CS6 and have 24GB of ram. GTX 660ti. This shouldnt be a problem and has not been. My psd which is almost 500MB usually takes 30-60 seconds to open and once i am in it works fine. It just took me a good 5-10 minutes to open the psd. The efficiency is at 19%* and i dont know what that asterisk means. I allocated 22GB of ram to it, 8 cache levels and such and it's still being really slow. Should I try reinstalling? This is very cumborsome and would like to fix this problem asap.
this also happened randomly. The program wasn't even closed. My brushes reset, too. I even tried rebooting, and nothing.also, photoshop now uses up to like 20gb of my ram automically without any files open in the program. Before it was about 6-9gb.
How do I set my color picker. It does not look like the one I have used for years.

I opened the same file in Camera Raw again and it remembered all of my adjustments. I want to reset the raw file back to its original before I made any adjustments. Is there a way to do that without having to go through each setting and changing them one by one?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis morning, I opened CS6 and noticed that Open Recent was grayed out. So I opened my most recent from Bridge and found almost all my settings had reverted to default, except for Menu and Keyboard Shortcuts. Workspace still had the correct name.
I have CS6 Prefs saved on the desktop but I chose to rest most by hand to see if anything might foul up. It didn't so I renamed the final settings to a different workspace. In so doing, I lost my keyboard shortcuts so I had to reset those as well. Of course, I realize that I didn't have to do all that, I could have simply substituted the saved .psp, but since this revert was not as a result of my resetting prefs manually, I wanted to see what if anything might be wrong and perhaps interfere with manual settings.
The strangest behavior showed up when I went to reboot the computer then open PS. It took a very long time for PS to open, and during that time a blue square would flash on screen behind the PS Loading Icon, which is something I have not seen before.

Examination of Events showed no problems other than an inability to run backup today because the Backup HD was unavailable. It may have been trying to do so while I opened PS as I note several attempts to do so in Events log.
when I decide to start over in the Liquify filter, I press the ALT key which turns Cancel to Reset and click it. In my case, nothing is happening. I am expecting all the changes made in that session to be removed so I can start over. Oddly, all the changes remain intact.

My colour pciker doesnt show the full range of colours in the side bar anymore like it used to. It only shows a small range unless I click on the edge in the main colour selection window then it shows the next range. How do I reset this back to the default?

Instead of white being in the top left and black in the bottom left, these colurs are now exactly in the top middle and bottom middle.

In Photoshop CS2 - I used to be able to select the current tool by clicking on it, but now when I click on a tool the window pops up with all the tools available. This happens when I click on any tool that has other options. Usually I would have to click and hold to view the pop up window of other tool options or right click on the arrow for that tool to get the pop up window of the other tools. I have tried resetting my prefeneces by deleting the Adobe Photoshop X Prefs.psp as mentioned in another blog on this site. But that hasn't helped.Any help would be greatly appreciated, other than telling me to upgrade to the current version os CS,
