why when file linking to a dwg file, all the geometry comes in all black until I apply a material on it. this makes for seeing what is going at start up very difficult . btw, I am also using vray 2.o

Now i would like to know if its possible to link a obeject in a DXF auto to that same object in a X5 design.So if it is changed in the DXF it is changed in the X5 as well.
I'm working with some files that must be saved as .ai files and then emailed. I linked a photo, gave it a drop shadow and saved the file. The original file without the photo was about 1.5 mb. The size of the photo is about 2 mb. After I linked the file and then saved it, my .ai file was 21 mb which is too large to email. Why is the file size so large, especially when the picture is not embedded?

i.e. It was fine when the CAD file name was 111-A222-ZZ-X-123456.dwg and this would display the complete 111-A222-ZZ-X-123456 in the drawing title.
Now we need to do this, the CAD file name, 111-A222-ZZ-X-123456-001002-A1.dwg and we still need to just show 111-A222-ZZ-X-123456 in the title block, striping away the 001002-A1.
Is there a possibility to furnish a hyperlink linking on a defined Excel-data sheet within an Excel file? Are there other possibilities to tie together to a drawing object external additional information, e.g., a product name, product data or product pictures?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using Map 3D 2012 with Oracle 11g. I created an enterprise project with an industry model with water and wastewater modules. After this i created my feature classes and defined the utility model linking the geometry feature class to the attribute ones (ex: WA_POINT to WA_ARMATURE, WA_VALVE, WA_HYDRANT etc.).
At this moment i have to import a large amount of data from *.shp or *.sdf files, but theese files contain geometric and attribute data together.
How can i import the geometry from the shp or sdf file to the geometry feature class (ex: WA_POINT) and the attributes to the attribute feature class (ex: WA_VALVE), while creating the reference between the geometry and attribute feature classes?
I tried bulk-copying the geometry, but it doesn't create the coresponding attribute feature.
I have an assembly with a few parts inside and want to create a new part(hose) in the assembly and link some faces from other parts within the assembly to my new part to show the routing of the hose.
Can I link faces within an assembly to one of the assembly components.
Is there a way to easily "retrieve" solid model features and sketches from a stp file imported into Inventor Pro 2012 without having to recreate them?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I have 2 files open, one minimized and the other visible on the screen, when I quit the file showing on the screen and then open the one that was minimized, it comes up w/a blank black screen. There is no way I have found to get the info in the file to display.
Then, if I save the blank screenof previously minimized file, close it then reopen it the info is back on screen with changes made to the file intact.
I recently finished some wedding invitations & sent them to a printer. They called me back & said that they needed the black to be 100% black and the pink to the 100% magenta. I have tried everything I can think of to change the colors, but they keep changing back to their original color.
For example, when I try to change the text to:
C: 0%
Y: 0%
M:0%
K: 100%
It changes it to:
C:75%
Y:68%
M:67%
K:90%
I have a logo in the form of a png file. It is text with a drop shadow and has a transparent background. This works well on a sites light background but they want to be able to use it on black backgrounds also.
How to change this black logo to white and keep the subtle, faint opacity of the drop shadow? Also, keeping the transparent background?
I created an ad in color but might possibly be required to provide it in black and white also. However, The file contains an image that's in color. So I need to know if there is an option to print the file to PDF in black and white? I tried changed the settings many times to no avail. I'm using DP7.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using Pro X3 with Windows 7. I opened up MPG video I captured from HD Canon camera yesterday, then trimmed it from the original size to get one portion before dragging it down to the video track. It ran very slow that way, so I dumped the project.
Thought if I opened up the original file (11 GB), it would be fine and I could start over but cut it from the video tract rather than the clip, but now the portion I had trimmed is blacked out for video on the original "raw" MPG file but the audio is there. I tried it numerous times. On the thumbnail for this original clip, there is the video icon in the left upper corner but also two little video icons next to that. What did I do wrong? and what do the two extra video icons mean?
When I pull the same original (raw) MPG file up in Windows Live Movie Maker it is fine.
Using VideoStudio X3. I import a MPEG2 file with res 720x480. Problem is the actual size of the video is 640x480 and the rest is two black bars on the sides. This is the way the source produces the files and I have no control over that. I want to export the project in 640x480, but no matter what I do I end up with keeping the black bars and distorting the image. Tried using the crop effect with no success.
The only workaround I have found is using another program - Magix or Pinnacle - to import the file and save it. In the preview window both Pinnacle and Magix display just the actual video (640x480), although the source file is 720x480. Corel for some reason keeps the black bars.
So how do I do the same using VideoStudio? I hate using 2 separate programs, my PC is too slow anyway and importing and converting long video files takes about a day.
Wits end with VS X3 and X4.
I shoot with a Zi8 in 720p mode. I import the file (MOV) and work on it in VSP X4 - no problem. I see the preview window in full widescreen (no black bars). I have tried every possible option to get an FLV file out of X4 without the black bars and it's no use.

I have a drawing file of AutoCAD 2012 with different coloured lines. When I take a print using "monochrome" option also, I get my yellow lines as light black which I don't want. I want all the elements to appear as black of same brightness. What should I do?

I want it BLACK, 000000, but the Illustrator turns it into differnt blacks and brown! Never seen this before.
When I copy my work back on the old computer and open it on CS3 it shows that it is black, but when i copy it on my CC Photoshop it shows up brown?
I tired making a new file, copying things over, making a new project writing randoms things but its all brown, and i tired to change both CMYK and RBG, and ofcourse the color! It worked fine if I wanted blue or red, but not BLACK.
Everytime I open a new file or old document my screen is black. There is no paper space, nothing.

But nothing I tried, from restore plug ins to online retrieve systems (that tried to bring back individual layers, only accounting to a single black layer and a bunch of blank ones) worked. I'd really like to get the picture back, or at least a png of it, but I'm at loss for what to try next. I use Cs5.1 64 bits.

One day, when I opened it up to do some work, there appeared a duplicate assembly model floating in the middle of my work space.
