I recently finished some wedding invitations & sent them to a printer. They called me back & said that they needed the black to be 100% black and the pink to the 100% magenta. I have tried everything I can think of to change the colors, but they keep changing back to their original color.
For example, when I try to change the text to:
C: 0%
Y: 0%
M:0%
K: 100%
It changes it to:
C:75%
Y:68%
M:67%
K:90%
I'm trying to sort out an issue with the printer marks being set as black (K) in the print separations dialog.
What I'm trying to do is to print separations to pdf to send out to be printed in plates, for this to work I have to set the option "print separations in color" to true, so that the screen angle does not get screwed when the plates are printed. Now my issue here is that all works well just the printer marks are not in the color respective to their plate, they all are black. This will result in the plates other than the black one to not have any printermarks.
Now if there is a way to say set them to registration color or something so they are then printed right it would be great, otherwise I would need to se printer marks by hand which is a bit of a pain.
Running Canon 2620Using Post Script driver with good colour matching.Using CorelDraw X5 sp 3 and all my fonts print out really heavy on the black, they almost look Bold. Text is not cmyk, just pure black.Converting to curves or exporting as eps and importing doesn't resolve it either. Seems I have have tried all settings. Text prints fine in other applications.Also prints fine in CorelDraw x3.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have one user that when trying to print to a color laser jet printer it only comes out in color. I even set the Plot style to monochrome.stb, (which is a network file that others use without issue) have Plot with plot styles checked, and even tried checking the black and white only in the printer properties. This is Autocad 2012.
Is there something I am missing to have the print out come out in black and white? Te print preview shows it in color.
Forgot to mention, if another user opens the drawing, it prints in black and white ok.
When i take bw laser print from corel draw, the output is not pure black. I tried using the the 'Preserve Pure Black' setting in corel draw. But it turns out to have some adverse effect while converting image from one format to the other (like rgb to cmyk) bitmaps, the black shade on the image looked washed out in multicolor offset print.
what should i do now to get pure black output from bw laser printer without using the preserve pure black setting.

New to CDR X6 just having upgraded from CDR 8.
Printing a black and white layout to my HP LaserJet 4000 produces an image that appears to be grayscale instead of solid black. In other words, my text, line border I've put around the layout and graphics (for the most part), all appear about 70-80% black instead of SOLID black. Small text doesn't appear to be nearly as sharp because it looks like a halftone instead solid black. On one layout I just printed, the entire thing appears halftoned except for one vector graphic that did print in solid black. Strange. I figured I have something set incorrectly in the software or printer. Has to be the CDR X6 software though because all other programs output just fine.
I have a problem with CorelDraw X6.
When printing 100% black on laser printer the Black is all in raster. Very strange because the same file printed from X4 /same PC and same printer/ is OK and is not in raster.
Probably the problem is somewere in X6.
I don't belive that the problem is in the color management because it's the same as my X5 and there all is OK too.

The image I am working on is in CMYK mode, the printer said to only have black and 100% cyan in the file and save it to PDF to send to him. I've got everything figured out but my logo. The printer said the logo has to be in grayscale, because right now the file I send to him the logo is making it a 4 color job.
The logo is a separate file so I have been just opening it and dragging it into the door hanger image. I first change it to grayscale using Image/Mode/grayscale, but when I drag it into the door hanger file it somehow changes the logo image into parts of C, Y, M and black.

A bit of an emergency going on here...I'm trying to deliver art to a printer and they are having trouble opening my files. I've got CS5 and they're using Corel X3.
When they try to open my AI file they're getting a 'corrupted' error. I sent EPS versions and they're getting font-related errors - but all of my fonts are outlined (the first thing I confirmed).
In our drawings we have a layout with a view port and tittle block.
Default printer set for that layout is "dwg to pdf.pc3" and paper is "ISO A3".
I had to plot this layout [extence] to a plt file for the use of our Production ERP.
We had to print to a specific windows printer with paper size A3.
We use to do it in VBA with the bellow code. How to do it in .Net

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to import a pdf file that I have scanned with my printer, corel X6 says either "file is corrupt" or something about not enough memory to perform the action. I have 2 different work stations with 2 separate printers (both the same brand and model) and have tried scanning and importing and get the same message from both now.
It always worked before. I can open the pdf document in Adobe and it is fine, so I don't think the file is corrupt, rather it is something in corel that is stopping it from importing. There are no updates outstanding for my computer.
Using CS5 windows won't print all the graphics of the file, even to a PS printer. Some of the graphics don't print at all and some print in a reverse color.

I'm trying to install Epilog Laser drivers on a new Win8 laptop, and somehow I have duplicate copies of the same "printer/laser engraver." I'm starting the driver instalation over, and want to remove the duplicate printers in CorelDraw. I've cleaned out all printers in control panel/devices and printers, as well as print drivers. But the duplicate printers remain in Corel X6. I've looked in each Corel folder on my computer it seems, and can't locate it. Would it by chance be a registy file I need to edit

My office is running into a printing issue, when different people are plotting off the same drawing file.
I've checked the .CTB file, all of us are using the same file, all .CTB parameters are identical, and no line weights have been set up within the layers, all are set to default, and no transparency has been used.
One man prints the file from AutoCAD2013, on a Windows 7-32bit computer, to our HP Laser Jet 8150N and his drawing comes out light.
I print the same drawing file from AutoCAD2012, on a Windows 7-32bit computer to the same printer with the same .CTB file and my drawing file prints dark. Much darker than his does.
We're having the same issue with other computers here in the office all printing to the same printer using exactly the same .CTB file. I've checked all the versions of Windows, and we're all using Windows 7 32-bit.
The only thing I can think of is that maybe we have different graphics cards as the computers have been purchased at different times.
having some nice flyers printed at Office Depot. They do not accept CDR files (practically nobody does),
so which format would be best? they take pdf, illustrator etc. the flyer is text plus high quality pictures of art.
I have used Gimp a bit, and before that PS quite a bit. I have never had to use the size constraints for sizing a file to fit a large format printer. I will be getting one any day so I would like to be prepared as much as possible. When I was at another shop, the owner used one of the cropping functions to set the finish print size and then she could move the box around to locate the best print area and remainder to be cropped. She was using PS. I would assume I could do it also in Gimp, but have not found a way to do it yet. What am I missing. Even if the printer software will do it on the printer, I would like to be able to show my customer on a PC monitor what they might expect.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I have 2 files open, one minimized and the other visible on the screen, when I quit the file showing on the screen and then open the one that was minimized, it comes up w/a blank black screen. There is no way I have found to get the info in the file to display.
Then, if I save the blank screenof previously minimized file, close it then reopen it the info is back on screen with changes made to the file intact.
The PS file InDesign CS6 generated to use to import into Acrobat for printer spreads has pixelated halftones. Is this a problem with InDesign CS6? Does it contain a post script driver?

View 5 Replies View RelatedThe preview of the picture still appears when I select it in Photoshop, and even appears for a few seconds in Adobe Bridge before going back to black. But nothing I tried, from restore plug ins to online retrieve systems (that tried to bring back individual layers, only accounting to a single black layer and a bunch of blank ones) worked. I'd really like to get the picture back, or at least a png of it, but I'm at loss for what to try next. I use Cs5.1 64 bits.

I am using OS X Lion, Photoshop 5, Apple 30" Cinema display. My monitor is calibrated with a i1 Display by X-Rite and resets according to amibent light.
why when file linking to a dwg file, all the geometry comes in all black until I apply a material on it. this makes for seeing what is going at start up very difficult . btw, I am also using vray 2.o
