I am a bit unsure how to do the following 2 things:
I have a single dice (die) made and textured. Now i would like to spin (rotate) the die in place on 2 axis but i would like for each face on the die to show facing up during the animation. An i would like to make the die spin in place without having to manually key frame everything. Is there a way to make the die automatically rotate in place and show all the faces during the rotation animation? How to do this animation?
Also i would like to render out the animation as a series of .PNG files. How can i do this rendering via .PNG files in 3ds max 2009?
I have many scanned images of my collection and need to automate the process of rotating the image so that it is "square" and then cropping to remove unwanted background.
I have learned GIMP enough to do this manually with the rotate and crop tools but I have 1000s of images so how to automate this process.
How do I stop automatic rotation on the main screen in PE11? I tend to drag my thumb on the mouse pad of my Mac, which unwittingly causes the image I'm editing to rotate.
When setting up a simple FK control curve on say the wrist for example, many times the control curve isn't exactly perpendicular to the local rotation axis of the joint movement, so when we position the control curve to be perpendicular to the joint - it has a rotational value added, but the rotational handles are lines up with the rotational handles of the joint that we want to move.
Freeze Transformations: then the control curves rotational handle go back to being skewed (out of alignment with the joints)
We want to Freeze transformations before constraining the curve, but we'd really to keep those rotations control handles to remain aligned with the joints rotational handles. This will make it an exact control when animating - grab the rotational handle of the curve, rotate it, and the joint will move exactly in the proper direction.
how to get the rotational handle of any control curve to run perpendicular to the shape after freezing transformations?
I am making a template file having title block with fields. I use this template for creating layouts and sheets using Sheet Set Manager and the fields will be updated from the data of SSM. Now i would like to add a dynamic north block to my template. The block could be rotated (i have this block in file itself) and rotation angle could be inserted. Now how can i add a custom field to SSM so that i could set a rotation angle for the project and thus every new layout or sheet created using the template has the north block rotated with the angle mentioned in SSM.
To summarize: It seems that compounding a path resets the rotation of the gradient to it's original degree of rotation.
Detailed version:
1. Create a shape. 2. Add a gradient fill. Note it's degree of rotation. Let's say it's set at 10°. 3. Now rotate the shape by any means (transform or rotate tool). Note the gradient degree of rotation has shifted the same amount as the shape was rotated (if it was rotated 50°, the gradient will show at 60°). 4. Make it a compound path. 5. Instantly the gradient shifts back to it's original degree of rotation of 10°.
It appears that when rotating a shape with a gradient, the rotation of the gradient is locked to the rotation of the shape. But when making it a compound shape it releases that lock and "remembers" it's original state. But that is only true as soon as you make it a compound path, but if you no go ahead and rotate it just a bit using the cursor (as opposed to selecting transform > rotate), the gradient will switch back to how you would expect it to rotate in the first place...
Workaround would be to make it a compound path before rotating the shape at all.
I have a North Arrow that I would love to make into a dynamic block. I would like to be able to rotate the N that represents where the north direction is. But while rotating the N around the center of a circle I would like the letter itself to stay un-rotated. It seems simple, if I rotate the letter around the axis of a circle 90 deg, I would like the letter itself to rotate -90 deg on it's own axis. Of course this is easy to do manualy, but how do i do it so that rotation 1 automaticaly triggers rotation 2?
I got too smart for myself today in bringing an old drawing up to current standards...Everyone seems to want their block attributes to be zero - I have blocks where the attributes are best when they match the rotations of each blocks.
I have an old drawing that was rotated (as it should be) at approx 2deg.
I used a lisp routine to global edit all the blocks that needed to be at zero. BUT for some reason (and after hundreds of blocks were corrected), I noticed I now have two blocks that should NOT have been in the set have had their attributes rotated to zero....and the attributes should be at the same rotation as their block's rotation.
Because those two blocks have a fixed tic mark, I can click on the mark to see what the block rotation is, then rotate its attribute to that rotation, but I have hundreds of blocks! One-at-a-time sucks....
Any chance there is a GLOBAL way to edit an attribute rotation to match its own block's rotation?
why i cannot change the color of the background when rendering? It is always black, and i cannot attached or make new material, if need to attach jpeg or new texture on my drawing, cannot create new material. what should i do? im currently using autocad for mac 2012.
Is there a way I can apply a psd to many pictures at the same time? I've been trying some watermark programs but they didn't work... I want to keep the transparency from the psd on the pics
I have 10 images that are same shape and size and i must transform them all to different shape that is very complicated, can i somehow transform one and then transform them all the same way as first one?
I cant just group select and transform because i need to use Wrap filter.

Some my .psd files (CS6 Photoshop, MAC OSX 10.7.5, Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7) automatically resize to a percentage. I can't figure out what the cause is, and it will not allow me to change it back to 100% to slice out images for web.
File Type is .psd - RGB 8 bit/color Fie Dimensions are 1400px by 10,800px. File Size is 60MB
The file is extremely slow to open and adjust anything within the file as well, not sure if the issue is related. I am working off of my desktop not off of a server.
In Photoshop CS6, I have Shape Layer B clipped (ctrl alt G) by Shape Layer A. SL-B has a color fill different from SL-A, and has 50% opacity. Is there a way to automatically make every new Shape Layer drawn to have the same transparency and fill color as SH-B, and should also be clipped by SH-A?
When I select SL-A and then draw a new shape layer, it copies the fill color of SL-A and is clipped automatically. When I select SL-B and then draw a new shape layere, the new layer copies SL-B's fill color, but not the transparency, and it is also not clipped.
explain the inconsistencies I am having with automatic color in CS6 updated on a Mac with OS Mountain (latest version)?
1. A screen-capture of 4 separate images - they are in 4 separate layers
The 5th layer of "Copyright Do Not Copy" does not affect automatic color!
2. An entire working PS screencapture
3. If I use Image >> Automatic Color on 1 layer at a time, the images go blue (cold)
4. A second Image >> Automatic Color illustrating the cold automatic correction
5. a. If I Layer >> Merge Layers or Layers >>Flatten Image b. Image >> Automatic Color I get a slight color correction as I would expect.
6. If I use the any of the identical images from the first image at the top then Image >>Automatic Color, it goes cold (Blue)
If I keep all 4 images together without any white area between them or around them and then Image >>Automatic Color the correction again like # 5 is only a slight color correction.
Why the inconsistencies in Image >> Automatic Color in these different settings, but all of the same images
How to turn off the "add automatic transition" function. I am using VSx4. I can go to Settings>Preferences> and hit the Edit tab, and I make SURE that the "automatically add transition effect" box is NOT checked, click OK but there is still a transition that gets added when two clips are placed next to each other. I turned on the function to check it out, and now I want to get rid of it, and can't find out how to get it to go away!
When I'm trying to select files to load through CorelDraw X4's File command, it makes automatic copies of the files I've selected if I hold down the CTL key too long (maybe 5 seconds). This is extremely annoying.
Is there a way I can turn off this features? I've tried to find an option that controls this, but can't.
We are looking for a way to export BOM's without having to open individual IDW's.
We were unable to find such a function in either Inventor or Vault Workgroup. We have found customized function for export but each file has to be opened. Is there such a function available that we might have missed or third party?
We are currently working with 2011 versions of Inventor and Vault Workgroup, soon to be migrated to 2013.
I've recently changed idw template and since then when I put part view into new draft the file name don't change into source file name.
In standard template, when I save the .idw file it automatically propose name that is equal to source .ipt and .iam. Why when I'm saving files it won't propose file name the same as the source ipt file name?
I have overlaid Autocad points on a polygon topology representing tree stands. I now want to somehow attribute the points so that the points within each stand are numbered sequentially in a top to bottom, left to right order starting with number 1 and prefix each point number with the stand number. These attributed points will need to be exported to a shape file for use in ArcGIS.
How this might be accomplished aside from manually typing in the attributes. I've considered using the Text Numbering tool in Express Tools but Map requires blocks for Point topology attributes. I've also considered object data but I don't see any way to automate the data.
I am using Civil Series/LDT/Map 2004 but I also have C3D 2011, ArcGIS 9.2, Microstation v8i Select Series 1 and Dotsoft Toolpac if any of those tools would offer a better approach.
I just noticed that Adobe is downloading ExtendScript Toolkit 2 on my computer automatically. I only have Lightroom and CS3. Do I need to have this on my computer?
I have a big picture project coming up, and i need to finnish to retouch a large amount of images a day. This means it would be nice to have a function that would open the next picture in line when the one im finished with is closed, or something similar and effective like this.

I did something when using the grid and now Extras defauls on with each image load. I have to do a CTR H after loading a new image to turn it off. Anyone know how I can set it back to default off.
I'm not sure how this started, but whenever I create a new adjustment layer, it automatically comes with a clipping mask to the layers below it. If I run an action with adjustment layers, all are clipped to the masks below them. I've looked for toggle switches in the preferences and elsewhere (with no luck) for a way to turn off this feature.
