how to assign the right mouse button (or any mouse button for that matter) to a Quad Shortcut. The software doesn't seem to detect any mouse button clicks in the same manner that it detects say the shift button.
View 3 RepliesSo, I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Adobe user who is somewhat new to the Corel world. In CD12, I was able to successfully create a workspace and workflow that mimiced AI. In CDX4, I've run into a snag assigning the "v" key to the Pick Tool. I get a msg. in the dialog box that describes it being already assigned to a nebulous "tool modifier". Because of this, I am unable to re-assign "v" to the pick tool.

I have 3d max 2011.How do I get rid of showing the tris in a quad. Example: I make a plane, and when I render it, it shows the line where the triangle is. Instead of a smooth surface, it is blocky...
I noticed that when I made the model a mesh in the viewport and render it will come out showing the triangles even if it is a quad.Then I made it a poly and only in the render will it show the triangles.
I can't seem to be able reassign the hotkeys around in Max anymore (no matter how hard I try).I was able to create a Quad for Shift+Z, but when I try it reassigning the same Quad or a new one on Shift+X or any other letter, it doesn't work for some reason. I tried at this point on ALL the combos, and it seems like Max actively refuses to assign anything to any quad menu.
It seems like after assigning my first new Quad, it doesn't want to do anymore changes
I'm trying to find a way to add geometry on top of selected quads by aligning an object to a quad and then having an ffd snap to quads vertices. Trying to make a geometry based wall cladding.

1. Choose Customize menu Customize User Interface Quads tab.
2. Click New. The New Quad Set dialog appears.
3. Enter the name of the quad set and click OK. The new set appears in the Quad set list.
To add a command to a quad set:
1. Choose Customize menu Customize User Interface Quads tab.
2. Choose the quad set you want to edit from the upper-right drop-down list. If you want to change the name of the quad set, click Rename and enter a new name in the Rename Quad Set dialog.
3. Select the quadrant where you want to place the command. You can edit the name of the quadrant by changing the text in the Label area.
4. Choose the appropriate Group and Category from the respective drop-down lists.
5. Choose a command from the action list and drag it into the Quad Menu window. Use the same procedure to add menus and separators to your quad set.There is no clue about how to make a sub menu with commands inside like the one in the picture.
Is there a way or Repair to fix this unwanted issue with 3d max in all version ?
in the viewport when you mouse right click to call menu the cpu usage go up and up!
try for yourself its happend in any system in any 3d max this issue is not appear in any software never, not in maya, c4d, or any 3d software.
Im going on a "lads holiday" in 2 weeks and i have been given the job to create tshirts for the group. I used a shield design base from a video game and i am now creating new silhouettes for the different sections of the shield to reflect the holiday. Ive been trying to make a quad bike silhouette but every time i do it it comes out so badly that you cannot tell what it is actually meant to be.

The left and right options are easy to understand, but how about "best shape"?how exactly Maya split a quad if I chose "best shape"?
I used to think that Maya would choose the shortest diagonal, but recently I've found some exceptions (see attachment, the quad in the red rectangle).
I'm after a plugin similar to Evans effects but one that will allow me to fit a shape to an area on the image. I've tried Evan's quad plugin but you get a separate window so trying to fit the perspective is almost impossible and everytime I try I end up getting curves in the picture. What I want is to modify the perspective on the actual image and not have to deal with the image producing curves. As an example here's what I'm after (it was done for me in photoshop by a friend for a cabinet I'm working on), which I presume has an effect to do this easily:

As well ,is there a way to clip the collar in Autocad. A clip that will not be affected by other clips necessary to other drawings?

When I watch tutorials, it seems like everybody else is getting the 5 sub-materials that correspond to each part of the window (glass, frame, etc.).
Is it possible to assign materials to layers?

If I open an sRGB image in CS4 (exported from Lightroom) the appearance in terms of colour is exactly as is shown in Lightroom. However, if I then 'assign profile' sRGB the colours all appear washed out and lose saturation whilst 'converting to profile' sRGB brings everything back. View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm constructing a simple test track for my university project, and I have managed to get the geometry of the track all sorted. I'm struggling to assign a bitmap image of a 4 lane road surface to the track. When I assign the material all I get is a grey surface with no lane markings. I figured the size may be wrong, but I have tried adjusting the size settings in the co-ordinates roll out in the material editor, with no luck.

There are several i-drop items in a doors catalogue, having selected three for a tools pallette, one item is a 2 panelled door, a regular fitting, some infills are glass, so how to assign materials?
The principal panels do not list in Object Display, seem to be 'untouchables' while outter frame, stops, muntins can be assigned hardwood or softwood finishes. How to change a plain yellow object into a regular door, with or without glass?
Here's what I'm trying to do.
1. Create a layer that is Color 250.
2. Create a Plot Style that can have the true color 255,255,255 set.
It seems I can only use the 255 default AutoCAD index color palette. I would like to have some solid filled hatches to be the physical color 250 in the drawing, but I want these objects on a layer that plots the true color 255,255,255. The reason, is because I want to use these solid filled hatches as a mask. I'm not going to use that as an alternative.
I just don't want these solid filled hatches to be white. I can live with it, and it's working fantastic for the use I need but am just trying to see if this option is available.
I would like to assign attributes to polylines so when I draw out a wiring diagram I can label the wire without having to type it out every time. I was thinking maybe a linked table or something not sure.

I want to keep them as blocks but for uploading to a IWMS system which will only recognize certain layer names. They are changing over to the layer name I select, but their properties are not (example: color)
Can I assign a hot key/combo to lock, and/or unlock objects? When you right click on an object, the LOCK command shows an underline beneath the "L" indicating that this is possible, but I cannot figure out the magic combo.
