Photoshop :: Assigning / Converting To Profile...

Apr 23, 2009

what the difference is between assigning or converting to profile? If I open an sRGB image in CS4 (exported from Lightroom) the appearance in terms of colour is exactly as is shown in Lightroom. However, if I then 'assign profile' sRGB the colours all appear washed out and lose saturation whilst 'converting to profile' sRGB brings everything back. I've never used the 'assign profile' feature before not really being sure what it's real function is,

Photoshop :: CS2: Assigning A Profile Turns Image...

Nov 3, 2008

When I assign certain profiles to a tiff file (16/RGB), the image turns blue (or sometimes green) and prints that way, too. My printer is an Epson 2200. When I assign, say, the SP2200 Enhanced type profiles (and others) the color of the image changes dramatically.

Photoshop Elements :: Organizer 11 Categories / Groups And Stacks - Assigning Tags

Nov 28, 2012

Organizer 11 imported my v.9 category and subcategory tags and converted the people-centric ones into stacks within groups. Sub-category tags still appear present appended to images within the stacks in People mode but are not listed and do not seem accessible in Media mode. Is there a way I can assign these "ghost" tags to an image in the same easy drag & drop way as those listed as keywords in  media mode (or make them accessible in media mode)?

Photoshop :: Use Protanopia (Color Blind) Profile As Regular Profile That Can Be Converted?

Sep 30, 2013

I've been trying to reproduce this color blind conditionfor a long time now and I still didn't figure out how I can do this. I've searched for cluts but didn't find any, only this, which has some previews of them, but no any files I can load into Photoshop's Color Lookup adjustment. I've looked into Pixel Bender plugin, but I'm using CC so that doesn't work either... I've also tried it with the Index Color mode, but that really messes up my image as it has a really low color range (256). I've even tried reproducing the same effect with adjustments, channels, etc, but didn't figure it out.

Since there's a way to perfectly color proof images with this condition, I'm guessing this has to be some kind of ICC profile or something similar. Is there a way I can use it as a color profile?

Photoshop Elements :: Assigning Files To Albums - Error Applying Keyword Tags

Feb 23, 2014

I don't assign or use keywords. It does it on all albums. I made new albums and it did not work, even on the new albums.  There was one album that did not have the problem, but when I tried to transfer an affected album's files to it, it developed the problem.  I reset the preferences in both Organizer and Editor, and that did not work.  It prevents me from moving files out of as well as into albums.

Photoshop :: Combine ICC Profile With Correction Curve Into New ICC Profile

Dec 21, 2012

For a monthly magazine on uncoated paper, our workflow is as follows:

- convert every photo to uncoated cmyk (PSO Uncoated) + apply some corrections to look nice in this profile
- apply a fixed correction curve to the photo's
- (resize images + apply proper sharpening for print)
- export pdf: convert colors to destination, preserve numbers

The correction curve step is critical. Without it, everything is printed much too dark.Unfortunately our printer can't provide us with a correct profile for the paper that is used. That's why the correction curve in photoshop is needed. The profile + the correction curve give a good, predictable result.

However i don't like the workflow with the correction curve, because only photoshop links can be corrected. We would also like to put a digital version of the magazine online, so i have to replace all links if i won't to have them displayed correctly.

Can i somehow combine the icc profile with the correction curve into a new icc profile?I did some research and found about "Custom CMYK" in photoshop (see screenshot), but i think an existing profile (PSO Uncoated) can't be edited or replicated in this dialog box.

3ds Max :: Assigning Materials To Window

When I watch tutorials, it seems like everybody else is getting the 5 sub-materials that correspond to each part of the window (glass, frame, etc.).

I'm struggling to assign a bitmap image of a 4 lane road surface to the track. When I assign the material all I get is a grey surface with no lane markings. I figured the size may be wrong, but I have tried adjusting the size settings in the co-ordinates roll out in the material editor, with no luck.

AutoCad :: Assigning RGB To A Plot Style

Jul 7, 2011

Here's what I'm trying to do.

1. Create a layer that is Color 250.
2. Create a Plot Style that can have the true color 255,255,255 set.

It seems I can only use the 255 default AutoCAD index color palette. I would like to have some solid filled hatches to be the physical color 250 in the drawing, but I want these objects on a layer that plots the true color 255,255,255. The reason, is because I want to use these solid filled hatches as a mask. I'm not going to use that as an alternative.

I just don't want these solid filled hatches to be white. I can live with it, and it's working fantastic for the use I need but am just trying to see if this option is available.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Assigning Commands To F Button

AutoCAD 2010 :: Assigning Layer To Command

Dec 7, 2012

A company I used to work for had a custom set of dimensioning tools in the tool palettes. We had issues with people dimensioning on the wrong layers and they included an instruction(?) in these custom commands to dimension using the correct layer i.e. current layer set to 'Border', select custom linear dim command and dim is drawn in 'Dimension' layer.

My question is, what to add to the macro in the properties when creating such a command button to do this? ^C^C_dimlinear <add something here to use a specific layer?>

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Assigning Different Scale For Profiles

May 8, 2013

If I have a drawing scale set up as 1"=30' and I created some profiles at that scale, and then I need to create a profile at 1"=40' horiz and 1"=4' vert., what is the best way to do that? I believe in the past I tried changing the drawing scale under settings to 1"=40' one time and all of the profiles in the drawing changed to that same scale even though they were drawn at 1"=30', which I want to stay that way.

I think I can leave the drawing settings to 1"=30 and then just assign the scale in the viewport to 1"=40', but then all of the text sizes in the profile view style will adjust according to the scale I use, which will either increase or decrease according to the scale I pick. I would like to keep the profile view style consistent no matter what scale I pick.
