I cannot seem to add the pen tool button.
I know there is a general way to do this but it seems to elude me at the moment. I go to the button palette and can use the tool from there but would prefer that is was on the side bar.
Ive found a way to create a border, just adding the 3d extrude tool, and it works quite well, however adding a drop shadow to the image looks cool to. I have exported the image as a jpg, however on my siote there is this white background. How do I lose this?

I do this with keyboard shortcuts now, but I'm ending up losing access to other functions (PS dibs on has all the good keys, and can't map to the others)
I could also remove half of my current need by overriding the Pixel Correction default behaviour, though I'm given to understand there is no way to do this.
how do you change the tool bar buttons to small buttons? The options are all greyed out! I am old but not that blind yet. This is a work stoppage, and abandon software problem for me.
View 9 Replies View RelatedTrying to create rollover buttons in Xara Pro which are essentially just text, the rollovers are working fine but instead of hiding the button below on the rollover state it is just placing the rollover state on top of the one below "the normal state", you can see a slight hint of the normal state. Is there a way to make Xara only show the rollover state on mouseover, my buttons are just text so it's fairly obvious that the normal state is still showing beneath the rollover.

Normally, I have the three windows icons in the top right (minimise, maximise and close) and these normally operate on the whole of the Xara window. (If I minimise, then Xara minimises to the task bar and I see my desktop etc.)
However, today, if I click on minimise, then the drawing (within Xara) minimises, and I'm left with the Xara window but no buttons to minimise, maximise or close the whole window .... it's just there and the only way I can see behind it is to drag the sides in or use FILE / EXIT to close the program.

Sometimes, by mistake, I drag an (or many) icon(s) to another place. I work with autocad 2010.
I'm setting up some custom toolbars and that's no problem, but what I'd like to do is have one of the buttons be a toggle, so the icon changes depending on what state it is in. I'm just having a bit of trouble figuring out how I find those buttons programatically from within C#. I've included Autodesk.Autocad.Customization which gives me the Toolbar, Tool bar button, etc classes, but I don't know how to find the existing toolbars from the running session of AutoCAD.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI found what I think is a bug in Photoshop CS6. The Pen tool keeps reverting back to the "Exclude" boolean mode every time you select the Pen tool. In previous versions of Photoshop, the boolean mode stayed at whatever mode it was set at when no paths were selected.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded de Maya 2013 bonus tools, and when I use the auto unwrap tool, the buttons that used to cut, select, continue even cancel dont show; but the "click area" still works, the problem is to find it
In Maya 2012, this plugin works fine unfortunately I dont have access to that version anymore.
I'm always having to move my tool windows around, out of the way, or close them entirely when trying to see and work with my images.
Wouldn't it be great if we could simply minimize one or more of the tool windows to the bottom of the application screen? Then the tools remain INSIDE the current dimensions of the app, and can be restored to normal size with a keystroke or a click. Shouldn't be too hard to implement.
My draworder tool bar buttons and pull down commands are not working. I click on them and get
Command: Unknown command "AI_DRAWORDER". Press F1 for help.
Command: Unknown command "FRONT". Press F1 for help.
This is the same issue for all of the draworder commands.
If I type draworder in the commande line I can get it to work. How do I restore my tool bar commands to get them to work?
In Xara Designer Pro 7, when I have selector tool active and want to drag over a number of elements to select them the selector tool will change the size of the canvas (page). Is that not a bug? I used this way of selecting elements often, and it is not good for me with this new behaviour.
Is it a bug or is it a new setting which I then need to change?
Just a question about adding objects to an arc instead of a whole circle for example using a hearts brush. I draw a circle, convert it to a shape and then bisect it with a line that has also been converted to a shape then I slice and break shapes and now I have a perfect arc but when I go to my brushes and try to add my hearts brush to the arc it like doubles the hearts. Is there anyway to overcome this so that I only have a single row of hearts on the arc. By the way I'm using XaraXtreme Pro 5. T

Current problem is that I've created certain colors for an art piece - basically, it's different poses of a character. I'm outlining each pose on a separate Xara page. So I've inked in the first pose, and, in so doing, created a couple of new colors, which I've named.
Those new colors do not show up in the color palette when I open a new page to ink in another character pose - the palette just defaults to its basic lineup. Is there a way to create a new color and keep that color in the palette for any and all art pieces?
How do I add a button that scrolls as the user scrolls - so that it is always visible? I think what I need to do is fix the absolute position of a layer, but can't see how to do that.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI downloaded some fills and brushes from Xara Xone, but even after reading the instructions given, I am unable to add them to Xtreme Pro 4. I unzipped and extracted the files to a folder on my flash drive. When I went to add them to Xara I could access the folder where they reside, but the files didn't come up.

I'm using Xara Photo & Graphic Designer 6 and I'm having fun with it. But there's one functionality I can't seem to find that I really need. I'm a CAD operator (and have that mentality), and I really want my AutoCAD Offset tool. It allows you to copy a line or shape a certain distance away. More importantly, if you "offset" a shape inside or outside it's boundary, it automatically makes the new shape equidistant from all the borders.
Anyway to do it in Xara P&GD6?
In Xara P+Designer 6 I can select an area to clone, then edit that selection with the Selector Tool.
I don't seem to manage that in XD 7 doing the identical thing, well, attempting to. Am I not doing something that I should be doing, for it to do the same as in Xara D6?
I can edit with the Shape Editor tool, but not rotate with the Selector Tool.
I don't know how to use efficiently the mold tool ( not a lot of tutorials about it ) .
Maybe it's not possible in Xara but here is an example from an artist's work where the text ( and picture ) fits very well on the page :

There was a fix to put the old bezier pen tool (the Shift+F5 one) back in XD Pro 7, which I can't seem to find. what it was, and if it still works for XD Pro X?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've used the clone tool since Photoshop 4, and it has greatly improved. The ability to preview the effect before clicking, the addition of patch and bandied tools, etc are great. The next version is supposed to have content aware moves.
However a basic feature that is lacking is the ability to rotate the clone selection. Cloning out lines crossing edges is hard. Cloning non edged areas is relatively easy, but edges in real life often follow a curve. Now that the clone tool has a preview, it would be good if keystrokes could rotate the clone clockwise or counterclockwise to better clone along curved edges. There are workarounds with ctrl-j selections, but they are cumbersome. I'm not saying the content aware features will not be useful, but more mundane improvements are lacking.
My Type tool is adding punctuation to the beginning of a sentence. Checked the only thing I could think of (type preferences) and these are the options..
