Oct 5, 2013How do I go about adding a new font to my list of fonts. I need the font "TrashHandRegular". It doesn't appear in my list of fonts.
How would I import or add it on?

I have to take old black and white photos and replace the old faces with those of living people. The photos were scanned out of various photo books, and some of them were quite old. I used de-screening when I scanned them in, but there is still a 'texture' to the original photo and it doesn't look right when I put a nice, clear face off a digital camera shot to replace the original face.
I can buy a DVD tutorial from PixelPops to show me how this is done, but is there a simple way to do this so I don't have to spend the money? Yes, I can do a google search, but I don't even know what term to use for this particular process. I thought it might involve the healing or cloning tools,
Maya Modeling :: Adding Image To The Face?
Jul 12, 2012I'm a beginner in Maya and have to model an object for college. I've modelled an iPhone 4 in Maya 2012 and I've added colour to it but i want to add an image to the screen face. I've added the image using lambert but the image is blown up and i don't know how to resize it. I've fiddled with the settings in '2d Texture Placement Attributes' but the only thing i've been able to do was rotate the image so it's not upside down, it's still blown up. Is there another editor window to resize it?
I've also tried using the UV Texture Editor but everything is a mess on top of eachother and everytime i move things around maya crashes . Is there any other way to add the image to the face?

Nov 8, 2013Not sure if this should be a PS ? or not.... I have often heard if you can do it PS you can do it in AE.
I want to change the face of my text. Not color as with RGB selection, but with a pattern or texture.
IE: Billet Aluminum face with rivets or Diamond Plate look.
Normally I would matte it, but I also want to Extrude it For a "fat 3d look"
PS or AE?
Matte is not a renderable option using 3drt, Cheating it, using an alpha add mode and an alpha track is not getting a render. Is this a job for PS to create my text as a 3d text and then import it as a comp? Or will I lose 3d like in AI?
AutoCAD 2010 :: Importing A Poly Face Mesh
Jan 19, 2012I am trying to import a Polyface Mesh of a road plan to use in Terramodel. Terramodel handles .dwf and .dxf perfectly, but I seem to be having trouble preserving the elevations when importing. The polyface mesh imports in as polylines and without preserving the given elevations. I have used autocad in the past and have access to Autocad Civil 3d 2012 if need be.
Is there an import tool or command I am missing or unaware of that will allow the import to take place successfully?

Is the 10MPa load input construed by inventor as 10MPa per square mm or 10MPa over the entire disc area.which is the correct interpretation?

Jul 17, 2011I have over a hundred gif images to load into xtreme pro 6 but each time I do they come in with different sizes, however, they were all the same height when exported from excel (they are different lengths).Is there any way to get them all to the same screen resolution and hence make the heights the same for all images? I would rather not have to do each one manually.

Oct 6, 2012I have an EPS file (attached) which is giving an error when importing into Xara Photo & Graphics Designer 2013.
Other EPS files from the same source have no problem.
Any program they can try opening it in and see if they can save it in a format that Xara will accept (assuming there isn't a more fundamental problem with the file) ?

Sep 7, 2011I am using xara xtreme 4, i always used it to import large A1 size pdf files to resize them with xara on A4 page. I am trying to import now a 50 mb pdf file, after asking me if i need to optimize for editing i click import, it shows that it is converting the document then it asks me if i need to merge or insert to a new page i click merge and finally nothing shows on my sheet, still empty!
is there a better way to resize that pdf file?

Apr 12, 2011I am trying to work out the best way to import a word document into Designer Pro 6 and am struggling.I have a 21 page word document which is formatted text only i.e. no graphics included. I have exported this from Word as a RTF file. I now want to import this into DP6 so that I can use the power of DP6 for embedding all the graphics that I want.
Ideally what I would like to be able to do is to set-up a page with a text area, import the RTF document and insert it into the textarea and for DP6 to create the following pages with flowing text areas. I don't seem to be able to do this.
I think I must be missing a trick as in Gary Bouton's excellent book on Xara Xtreme 5 he says in the section on "Pouring Text into the Layout" (Page 198), that "Xara automatically adds pages to a document to handle text that won't fit on a page.".
Xara :: Importing Photo At Same Size
Sep 6, 2011Now that I've learned to isolate part of a photo using the mat, when I exported what I cut out it was tiny. My original photo was thousands of pixels wide. It reduced the cut out area exported to about 200 x 300 pixels which was a tenth of the size. I read a recent post on importing at same size using the utilities menu and clicking the last bitmap option to import at same dpi, so I did that using another photo so the utilities menu would show, then closed that photo and imported my photo again. But when I exported it to jpg it was tiny again. I checked to see the option in the utilites menu was still set. Is there a limit to picture size? I like to work with large photos so they print well as giclees and photographs. why I can't import and export at the full size .Am I having a problem because the dpi of the original is 72 dpi?

Xara :: Adding Brush Object To Arc?
Feb 11, 2013Just a question about adding objects to an arc instead of a whole circle for example using a hearts brush. I draw a circle, convert it to a shape and then bisect it with a line that has also been converted to a shape then I slice and break shapes and now I have a perfect arc but when I go to my brushes and try to add my hearts brush to the arc it like doubles the hearts. Is there anyway to overcome this so that I only have a single row of hearts on the arc. By the way I'm using XaraXtreme Pro 5. T

Oct 4, 2011importing photos into Xara 7 - the photos have a "green" sheen to them - I've only noticed as I've been using xara to print out some photos for a friend who's printer died. he uses powerpoint to print his and the difference between the two is really marked! i'm assuming it's due to CMYK/RGB differences (ppt is RGB) but I can't for the life me see where I can alter the Xara settings so the photos come in as per ppt.

Xara :: Creating New Colors And Adding To The Palette
Jan 9, 2012Current problem is that I've created certain colors for an art piece - basically, it's different poses of a character. I'm outlining each pose on a separate Xara page. So I've inked in the first pose, and, in so doing, created a couple of new colors, which I've named.
Those new colors do not show up in the color palette when I open a new page to ink in another character pose - the palette just defaults to its basic lineup. Is there a way to create a new color and keep that color in the palette for any and all art pieces?

I unzipped and extracted the files to a folder on my flash drive. When I went to add them to Xara I could access the folder where they reside, but the files didn't come up.

Aug 22, 2012All I need to do is merge a circular face to a flat face, so both faces become one continuous face. Is this possible at all?
I have a attached a screenshot to show what I mean. Face 1 needs to be merged with face 2. This is so if I constrain anything to that face it will constrain to the entire face and not either the circular face OR the flat face.
