I've just upgraded to C&PGD from Xtreme v4. Adding a small amount of noise to background images seems to be becoming more popular these days. I've seem tutorials on YouTube for PS and this technique but couldn't find one for Xara.
To add image to a background am using the brush tool to clean the image to expose some part of the background . for this to work, i must use the scale too on my image first then i an start applyin the brush tool to clean the image to expose the background.if i dont use the scale tool.. the brush tool will the image white intead of exposing the background. pls i want to know, it there any other way i can achieve apart from using the scale tool?
I looked up `noise' in help file and it mentions distortion filters but for some unimaginable reason... does not mention where they are.
Ok, looked up `distortion'... It tells about distortion filters but again... Showing an almost insane way to organize.... again it is not mentioned where they are.
how to add noise to an object? The help file has failed its most basic role... and has left it to my imagination as to where these filters may be.
Can I take an image and make it sewn to the background? I'm using Xara Xtreme 4 (not pro). The reason is that I want to have an image OVER which I place various objects. But I am routinely selecting the background by mistake and moving it. It would be nice to do two things:
1. (as I said) lock/sew/staple (what's the term?) an image to be the unmovable background.
2. This would obviously require me to size and crop the image first to be the page.
I am trying to add a background image to a jigsaw puzzle piece, Been using the magic selection tool and 'paste into' but i cant seem to get straight lines, Ideally i wanted to keep the 3d style of the image, with the new multicolor background, is it easier to create a 'flat' version and then turn it into 3d afterwards, using illustrator or Photoshop or am i best doing what i was doing originally? images are below to show what i mean.
I have a product collage at my company that has a white background with natural shadows. Is there a way to add that to a colored/textured background where the shadows will look correct and I won't have to manually erase all the white?
I know how to create text with a background picture inside the text. I want to put this text onto another image. So the text with the background inside the letters, will be superimposed on new image.
how a png image sometimes has a checkerboard background instead of a dull white square background? Those png's are cool to import into Xara and have a smooth outline.
why is it when i EXPORT a png with the checkerboard background the outline looks like an 8 bit nintendo outline when placed on a website? These type of pngs with the checkerboard background are meant to be viewed as having no background...which actually works for me but the outline looks horrible.
what do i need to do to fix that outline issue? Is there some sort of setting that i have to tweak?
I'm having issues with my text editor. I have just completed a multilayered composite image with a border and want to add a title on the background layer and can't get the type font to be anything other than very tiny...so I can't even see it.
I'm having trouble adjusting the levels on a layer after I've previously added noise to it. Basically I'm trying to add a simple snowstorm effect to a painting I'm currently working on.
The way I normally do is: create a new layer, then fill it with solid black, after that I go to filters>noise>add noise, then I add about 150% noise and check monochromatic, press ok, after that I go to image>adjustments>levels and adjust it so it leaves only a few white spots and then I press ok, but this time nothing happens after I press ok in the levels window and the image stays the same.
If you see the face iv used a smooth brush and its bringing out all these noise spots. If i try to darken a background its totally unusable. Iv never had these presets and brushes do this but the last 2 sessions iv had massive issues, Its happening on pics which i wouldnt think would have issues and have never had issues before. Lightroom 4 had none of these problems.
How can i get such effects like in the attached image;
- first of all; the image has no background - the grapes are shown on a plain white background.Note; there is another nice little thing that we have to mention; the image of the grapes are somewhat with a kind of a overdose of light - i think that this is a nice effect - perhaps added with gimp!? The grapes look very interesting.
- the next effect that i like is the adding of the circles that are seen in the image. How did they add those pastel colored circles.
I have Pro7 and I am trying to edit a graphic. I want to remove the background color (white), or pop out an image.
In my old program (not xara) I could just click on the area/color, it turn pink and then click finish it would erase. Is that possible with this program?
How do I make a Background Image with multiple lines like something similar to the example? I want to make a background for a car repair firm where I can place cars on top.
I have a detailed pen drawing that is the logo for my company. So far there has been no problems using jpeg scans for most purposes, however I am now working on a project that will require a background color change. Any automated way in Xara (or any other option) to convert the image and make the background transparent? I have attached a copy of the image below.
Using WD7 Tweaks,How do I create a 2048 background image Centered and no repeating? If i remember correctly, the tweak is placed over the corner of the background page
Which layer should the Tweak be placed? this code is working but makes the image forced right.or is the new way to copy the code and place in the: Placeholder>HTML code [head]
I don't know if it is the update or not but every time I fill a rectangle with noise and create a bitmap copy and try to erase the white with Medhi eraser classic XP&GD and XDPX now stops working. I have tried this over and over with the same result, or should I say lack of a result? All I am trying to do is make a star field. This is the same basic method I used before to create animated snow..
I'm trying to create a high-res desktop background image (1680 x 1050) with a gradient-fill, but the "steps" between the color changes in the background are obvious and I'd like them to be smoothed out. I know that the fill steps are much smoother when a shape is smaller, but I want this to be high-quality and sharp at full size.
Can the "steps" be adjusted to be smaller, or is there a better way I could go about achieving a smoother fill?
Here's an illustration of what I'm talking about. Hopefully it's obvious enough up on this image (you may have to view it full size):
I have a schematic that I scanned in and cleaned up PS. When it scanned there was a lot of background noise in a strip up the center of the file.
I've removed most of it and darkened the image itself back up and am pretty happy with the way it prints directly from PS. However, I need to convert it to a pdf (it is part of a manual that needs to be available online). Everytime I do it it comes out horrible with all sorts of fuzz and noise around the entire scanned image. The text comes out okay.
I have rather large blueprint that is black and white. Their is some noise around some of the black lines / text / etc on the drawing that I want to get rid of as well as get rid of the white back round all together (which I am hoping will reduce the file size a bit).
How to best remove the white backround / remove the noise from this large drawing?
I need to generate some decent grain/noise bakground for web page of size 128x128 or similar size.
I found - Grain Generator at [URL] ...... but it does not allow setup a spicle/grain size only 1pixel. I want dirrerent and random sizes from 1x1px up to 4x4px size.
Can it be simply generated in PSP X2/X4 or some good even online generator?
