Mar 4, 2011I use studio video Pro X3 to produce college skills video for college coaches interest in recruiting my players. One of the things coaches are interested in is running times from home to first base/home to home. I've found the most effective way to display results in real time is to have the time lapse overlayed on the video clip. I've seen this feature with Adobe editing software, but not with Corel. Does this feature exist? Is there a filter or patch to access it?

Photoshop :: Launching CS6 Macos 10.8.3 Causes Spacebar / Enter And Arrow Keys To Stop Working
Mar 25, 2013i have a mac air 10.8.3 with cs6 V13.1.2 x64. The machine is running fine. I use an external usb apple keyboard, which is brand new (having just been returned from apple after a warranty case).
Launching Photoshop causes the space bar, the enter key, the up-down-left-right keys to become unresponsive to the entire operating system, even after photoshop is closed. Restarting the mac resolves the issue. Photoshop is the only foreground application launched, nothing else is running (other than background services and things like dropbox, sip, etc).
The issue affects both the external usb keyboard, and the in-built keyboard.I have tried deleting my photoshop prefs file, which makes no difference.
I have noted that bringing up the keyboard viewer ( Keyboard preferences > 'show keyboard & character viewers in menu bar'; then from the icon choosing 'Show keyboard viewer' ) will not show the key as being depressed. CLICKING on the SPACEBAR key, the ENTER or ARROW KEYS in the keyboard viewer also does not work!

Dec 19, 2013I started a project and watch a lot of files in the source monitor to set IN and OUT points. When the file playes f.e. more than a minute the sound gets muted while the film is still running. First I thought it wood be a matter of my external HD from where I loaded the files. Now that I take the same or any other files from my internal sata 3 harddrive the behaviour is still the same.
When i scroll the mouse wheel to move some frames back and forth the sound is back when i hit the space bar. It's the same if i just hit the space bar once to pause and then hit it again to resume.
The effect shows after different amount of times, sometimes after 45 sec. and sometimes after 2 minutes +
I am running Pr Pro CS6 (latest update installed some days ago) on a windows 7 ultimate x64, 16 GB of ram, Nvidia GTX 670, i7 3770, HD is a WD caviar black
The movie clips come from a Panasonic Lumix FZ 150 in FullHD resolution as h.264 MP4 files.
I am quite sure that some months ago this behaviour was not present. I did not change anything on Premiere CS6 but running the updates.
VideoStudio :: Slow Motion - How Does Time Lapse / Speed Work
Jun 27, 2011I experimented with slow motion of a water fall video clip from Letchworth State Park of New York where we visited recently. The original clip is 1080p24fps. I used virtualdub, avisynth, mvtools method to change the video clip from 24fps to 96fps, and 144fps. This method smoothly builds additional frames between each of the 24fps appropriately and the method works great to create smooth slow motion that plays in VLC slowing the 96 and 144 clips fluidly slow. Inserting the three clips into VS works fine and play normally. Selecting the inserted 96fps clip, and slowing it by 25% plays jerky, and renders as 1080p24fps the same way. Same situation with the 144fps clip. I played with all the parameters: frame and % and I could not make VS X4 play the clips smoothly. I am hoping I don't understand how to use this new Time lapse/Speed feature. BTW, I also own Premiere Pro, and it does the slow down of these clips perfectly. EDIT: I just tried Microsoft Movie Maker that comes free from Microsoft, and it does the slow down correctly. I am thinking this is a problem with VS X4

Jun 28, 2013I have Lightroom 4.4. and Windows 7--both of which have been working fine for several months. Starting a few days ago, however, thumbnails have refused to load for any NEW photos I import. They appear gray/blank in both Grid view and the film strip. However, if you click on any of the film strip thumbnails (while in either Grid view or Develop mode), that thumbnail and corresponding image WILL load--until up to three have done so. Then they begin disappearing again, allowing you to view no more than three images' thumbnails at any one time.
I can't review a shoot via Grid mode this way. I'm also afraid to use Lightroom while it's misbehaving, for fear of corrupting the catalog somehow (though all the images appear to be there). Searching this forum, I found several people who experienced having all of their thumbnails blank out and who were able to correct this by either reinstalling or removing their color profiling software. However, 1) I did this (and it didn't work), and 2) it isn't that all my thumbnails that have disappeared. All the thumbnails and images imported prior to the bug, still initially display correctly.* And I can get three thumbnails of the newer images to appear at a time.
*The asterisk is because after I poked around some more, I realized that if I opened other folders and began post-processing images from older uploads (vs. just viewing them), the thumbnails that initially displayed correctly everywhere also blank out and begin appearing in this up-to-three-at-a-time fashion.

May 10, 2011I have started my project with the Instant Project function (middle category) and I am trying to apply the Old Film filter effect to my project but I want most of the original colour to come through. Rather than have the whole thing sepia with scratches and dust, I would like it mostly colour but with scratches and dust etc.
I have clicked on the strip of film that I want to edit the filter on and clicked 'Customize Filter' in the options. From there I clicked 'Duotone' and edited the picture there to how much colour I would like to show through. The problem is, when I click 'Ok', the colour hasn't changed when I go back and replay it. It is still all sepia and not colour.

Jan 22, 2012I have used Corel Video Studion for a number of years. I purchased VideoStudio Pro X4 some months ago and have no problem until now.Having edited a film into five segments. I have re-edited each segment with success until I got to the last one, having saved the earlier ones at each stage so only dealing with one at a time. On saving the last segment all went well until playback when I got the correct audio BUT the picture is now just a BLUE screen and nothing else. In desperation I delted the programme from the computer then reloaded, updated with service pack 1 and 2. Also, followed an on line recommendation to putin a new dll detail. Restarted the computer, downloaded the film and re-edited the final segment. It did seem to save quicker but AGAIN i have the correct audio BUT the same BLUE screen and for the life of me I do not know why.

May 24, 2013Llightroom 4.4 crashes everytime I try to playback video causing the app to close. The video loads fine, I can see the thumbnail, but when I hit play I hear audio for a few seconds, the video doesn't typically play or plays for only 1 second then the app crashes. Video files play fine in quicktime or Windows media. This happened in 4.3 as well so not related to the upgrade to 4.4. Here is what is logged in the Windows error log.

Jun 26, 2011The problem is that when I put a 2minute film in AVI format it works great, but I want to put a piece of it, so I use option to cut the film and I'm doing from it let's say 30s clip. The problem now begins, because when I play this clip in "Clip" option tagged I got the sound, when I change it to "Project" the sound vanishes... Using full film the sound is available in "Clip" mode and "Project" mode.
