Premiere Pro :: Export Clips With Uncompressed Sound Only Allows Single Audio Track?
Mar 17, 2014I am exporting dailes clips.We record dual system and there are two different audio levels - on the two different channels.However, when I export a clip from Premiere and set the audio option tol the uncompressed codec it defaults to a "single track" audio layout with no option to change. However, if i change the codec to AAC or any other I am allowed to chose whether I want a single mono track or a stereo track.
Additionally - if that single uncompressed track is an amalgamation of my original two tracks - or if it has just defaulted to one or the other.

Oct 5, 2012In the past using VS10+ I noticed an issue importing sound and music clips. I did import them into my project from my music folder without any problems. The issue is when I deleted the sound and music clip from my folder it disappeared from my video project and I would have to get the clip back into my music folder and keep it in there until I burned a DVD. Is this routine for VS?

Aug 30, 2013I am running the 30 days trial version of the VS pro X6, but the added clips are muted. important before buying).
When I add a clip the sound is ONLY played when volume for the clip is 100% (other value makes the clip mute) and is the clip preview, not the project preview. (project preview plays only the added soundtrack- if there is any).
Even if volume is 100%, when exporting the project, clip sound is muted (only the added soundtrack will sound).
- Of course I have tested several clips, and with or without an additional mp3 soundtrack.
- I also installed the just released VS SP 1, but no changes.
- I export (Share) using Vimeo HD template.
- Problem is not shown if I use VS 11 (which I also has installed).
My system characteristics are in my profile and also here:
- Win 8 pro 64 bits
- Dell Inc. Vostro 3360
- 1.70 gigahertz Intel Core i5-3317U
The clip's properties are:
Type: .MOV
-640x480
-dr 11347kbps

VideoStudio :: X5 Loses Sound Between Clips?
Oct 4, 2012I've been using X5 to edit a project that has about 20 small clips in it. I've noted that (1st occurrence of this) moving from one clip to the next in the main project timeline, the sound in the next clip just vanishes. Selecting the affected clip individually and then playing confirmed its got sound there.
This was first seen after turning ripple editing on (the little padlock went from open to closed). But various measures did not remove the effect:
- turning ripple editing off
- delecting the affected clip - the next clip in turn was affected by this
- closing X5 without saving the project changes, then re-starting X5 and opening that project. At the same point in the timeline, sound went away.
Is there any known explanation for this, and how can I remove this effect?
VideoStudio :: Sound Preview For Clips After Pic-in-pic Added
Mar 7, 2012I'm using videostudio 4pro... I find that if I apply pic-in-pic on any video clip I can no longer hear the audio when previewing a clip. I have to choose project to hear audio. To hear the audio I must split the audio track from the video track... is this the only way to preview audio for a clip once I apply pic-in-pic?

Sep 22, 2012I bought VideoStudio x5 about 3 weeks ago, there has been a bit of a learning curve but I am starting to get what I want. I still cant figure out one problem. I am screen capturing with another program because well videostudios screen capture doesn't work that well. My program produces AVI's and I bring them into video studio and piece them together. When I piece videos together, it skips for some reason a second or 2 into the second track. I have tried converting to mp4, hdv 720p - 30p (for PC), AVCHD (1820x720 60P), "Same as first video clip" and they all do the same thing. VideoStudio :: Unable To Hear Sound Mixing Clips
Jul 13, 2012When I split audio and then create the sound file, that file and the audio in project also lost.
I can add audio file normally but when I mix many clips, I just can hear sound whenever I choose the clip only. If I choose the whole project, the sound will be lost although the background sound still exist.
When I replace X5 by X4, there is no problem. But I prefer X5,
VideoStudio :: Overlapping Sound Clips In The Voice Track
Oct 29, 2011I have noticed that it is possible to overlap sound clips. Just wanting to know does this automatically add fade to the end of the first clips and start of the second clip - my testing could not confirm that. Also is there some documentation on overlapping sound clips as I could not find anything in the handbook.
Also a possible problem I have encountered (I could repeat it too). When I add a video clip to the overlay track at times when I select it (left mouse click) VS Pro X4 appears to FREEZE and I cannot do anything within VS such as select something else. If I then select 'Show Desktop' (from the icon in my quick start bar) and then click anywhere in the desktop and then reselect VS from the bar at the bottom of screen I am returned to VS and it is not in freeze mode again.
VideoStudio :: No Sound From Split Audio?
Nov 27, 2012I'm using Corel Video Studio Pro x4 to make a promotional video for an upcoming event, and I used the split audio function to, surprise, separate the audio. Here's the problem: It has no sound. When I play it as a clip, it works fine. But if I play the project as a whole or add any kind of filter to it, it is mute. I've tried saving the project and opening it in a media player, still nothing. My music track and video track play fine, but the split audio does not.

Easy to do was to have the music come out of the front left and right speakers and the captured video audio to come out of the centre speaker. Jun 6, 2011VS11+,Firefox,XP Home.I have imported a WAV file from my hard drive ,it is 705bps and 99.7 kb, it plays in Windows Media Player but there is no sound when played in the music track.Initially I raised the vol to 200(it was to play with a file in the other sound track) as I could not hear it.It played once.Then, VS "encountered a prob and had to close" and the file has remained silent ever since.The wav file still plays in WMP.

Is there a way to adjust the volume at a point in the project so that the audio to the right follows the volume setting, including all the clips to the right of the edit point? I like to bring down the audio for a good portion of the project then bring it back up etc. It would be very time consuming to have to do this for each clip.

Jul 24, 2011I'm still struggling with getting this long ago purchased and registered version working properly on my XP Media Edition, installed on an 4 year old Toshiba laptop with an external NAS hard drive. (Additional future system details to be provided as is necessary.)
I had no problems with the previous version 10 on this system, or version 11 on another system, but the X2 version has been a long outstanding headache in attempting to reach a working status. I'd be more than willing to again upgrade, but only if I had assurances that I wouldn't have to reset the clock. My editing needs are very basic, so additional enhancements offer no benefit beyond bug fixes and patches.
Corel's technical support eventually resolved one frustrating X2 operational problem in setting up a separate VSP user profile with all working files, not just the program files, needing to reside on the local drive, not the NAS. (That's something that should be documented properly somewhere, if not already in this forum as I extensively searched at that time for a reference and found none.)
My current problem is that audio coming out on burned DVD's is very faint. The input is occurring with a .mpg video file and it's enclosed audio voice track.
I have tried the volume control without success, plus the mute function. The problem is that the sound level is not muted, just very faint as to be almost unheard even when played back on the DVD player at maximum volume.
I have tried extracting that .mpg audio track in VSP, saving it in both .mpa and .wav formats, then reinserting into the time line, but the result is the same. It's still very faint. However, if I use one of the sample .mpa audio files found in VSP it burns through to a DVD in the normal manner. This works, even when accompanied by the video audio which still comes out so faintly.
The volume level plays normally in VSP and VLC from the raw file, as well as from the burned DVD. It's when the burned DVD is placed in a regular DVD player that the problem shows up. I've used the same input file source for editing and burning in VS 10 and 11 with no similar problems.
I've searched the web, this bulletin board and consulted with a movie editing professional before posting this message. I'll be continuing my exploratory approaches, first with another entirely video input source and also with another DVD player, plus anything else that comes to mind but my options are becoming limited.
VideoStudio :: X5 - Audio View To Adjust Sound Volume?
Aug 8, 2012After staying away from video editing for some time I have just installed VS X5. But here I can't find the Audio View in which I could adjust the sound volume (using the graph) in the video track. Has it gone away or is it just that I can't find it?
Does this mean that I have to split the audio from the video to be able to adjust the volume (up and down at various places, not just the track volume).
VideoStudio :: Get No Sound For Screen Capture Using System Audio
Mar 11, 2013In Video Studio 5 Ultimate, I am trying to use Screen Capture on an application that plays music and has a window with an animation showing the chord progression as it plays. When I try to capture it using Voice as the Audio Settings, it works but the sound is low quality. I assume the reason is that it is recording the microphone listening to the speakers. If I use System Audio as the Audio Settings, then there is no sound in the captured video. I have verified this using Windows Media Player on the clip as well as in Video Studio 5. The sound _is_ coming out of the speakers, and the video part is OK. There _is_ a stereo sound track in the .wmv file that is created, but it is silent.
I get the same result trying to capture Windows Media Player playing a video clip that has sound. It captures the window and the video successfully, but there is no sound. On the other hand, I am able to capture the sound using other programs, such as Freecorder. Thus there is likely nothing wrong with my setup or drivers (and it can be done).
This is on Windows 7, 64-bit. I do not get any message saying System Audio is not available, as I have seen in other posts.
VideoStudio :: Adjusting Audio Levels On Many Clips?
Jun 26, 2011I've have saved a video/photo project that also has several audio tracks. These tracks all seem to be at different audio levels. Is there an easy way of adjusting them all so they will play at similar level ? Or do I have to go into each one and rely on my ears to get them to sound about the same?

VideoStudio :: Diminished Audio Level In Clips
Jan 24, 2012why my audio level in my clips diminishes when imported into X4? The level is fine when the un-edited clip is viewed in Windows Media Player but is significantly lower in X4 when viewed in "Clip Mode" and even lower in "Project Mode".
I've raised the audio level as high as 500% but it's just not the same level and quality as actually recorded.

Mar 14, 2013I've been using WMM for all my productions and have had problems currently. With the importing of clips, audio and burning of DVD's. When I first started making home movies I dabbled in the VideoStudio Pro x3 and thought it was too complicated. Now I'm wanting something more and have decided to try and use it.
So here's the question. I notice that I do not have the Burn option on my menu. Again this program came on the computer when I purchased in 2011. I'm running an HP Laptop with Windows 7 premium vista if that sounds correct. Not too savy on computers but learn as I go. Wondering if this program is a scaled down version of the StudioVideo Pro x3 and have to add that feature somehow.

Sep 15, 2012When I go to render a video that is composed of video clips and an .mp3 music file, I'd like to get the finished file into as big of a file as I can. In order to do that, I select the MPEG-4 option. The good news is it typically will result in an approx file size of 250MB for a 2 1/2 minute video, versus 170MB for any other file extension. The bad news is the audio is full of pops and noise. The audio remains fine with any other option other than MPEG-4.
I've tried numerous ways to 'reconstruct' the file...using different audio file extensions (it seems to prefer .wma files but there is a noticeable drop in clarity), rendering the video only then adding the audio file and rendering again...nothing works. I've also tried to modify the rendering options in each video selection that Corel offers (this is in the window that pops up asking for the file name just before you render it), but the audio never gets better.
