VideoStudio :: Mute / Split Audio For Multiple Clips

Aug 21, 2011

I have a project with dozens of clips. Is there any way to mute or split audio for all or multiple clips rather than doing it for one clip at a time?

VideoStudio :: Mute All Clips

Sep 13, 2012

So I drag and drop a bunch of video files into the timeline and want to mute them all in one easy step. It would seem that all you would need to do it right click and mute while they are still all selected from the import but the mute setting isn't active. meaning I have to mute each clip separately. That takes a LONG time.

VideoStudio :: No Sound From Split Audio?

Nov 27, 2012

I'm using Corel Video Studio Pro x4 to make a promotional video for an upcoming event, and I used the split audio function to, surprise, separate the audio. Here's the problem: It has no sound. When I play it as a clip, it works fine. But if I play the project as a whole or add any kind of filter to it, it is mute. I've tried saving the project and opening it in a media player, still nothing. My music track and video track play fine, but the split audio does not.

VideoStudio :: 6 Pro - How To Adjust Audio For All Clips

Aug 27, 2013

I am a long time Pinnacle Studio user trying out the demo for VS6 Pro. Is there a way to adjust the volume at a point in the project so that the audio to the right follows the volume setting, including all the clips to the right of the edit point? I like to bring down the audio for a good portion of the project then bring it back up etc. It would be very time consuming to have to do this for each clip.

VideoStudio :: Audio Fade-in Automatically Applied After A Split

May 14, 2012

I've edited with VideoStudio 7, 10, 11, X2, X3 and X4 and just switched to X5. An issue that I experienced (and resolved) early in my use of VS Pro X4 has now resurfaced with VS Pro X5 and I can't recall how I "fixed" the issue last time.

My main video track is in its usual spot on the top row of the timeline (in Timeline View). Ripple editing is enabled. When I use the scissors to manually split the main track at any point, an audio fade-in is automatically applied to the trailing clip after the split. At the same time, the audio levels on both the leading and the trailing clip (before and after the split point) are instantly reset to 0 db. This is particularly maddening when I've carefully re-adjusted my main track's audio levels before applying the split.

VideoStudio :: Audio Lost When Split A Video File

Dec 11, 2011

I have been using Corel VideoStudio Pro X4 recently. I split a number of video files on a daily basis. This is what I do:

I take an Avi file that has a duration of about 30 minutes. I drag and drop the video into the "video track" area in the program.

Then I use the little "slider" thing and drag it to 15 minutes and click on the "scissors" symbol. which results in making the video split into 2 parts.

I delete the first part on the "video track" are and then I click on "share"-->"create video file"-->"custom"-->I choose Avi .

The compression I choose is Xvid Mpeg-4, 24 Bit RGB, and the Audio Format is Mpeg Layer 3, 8 Bits, 11.025 Hz Mono

The resulting video does not have any sound . This does not happen if I delete the 2nd part and create the video file with the first 15 minutes only. This happens with almost all of my videos (all of them are avi).

I've have saved a video/photo project that also has several audio tracks. These tracks all seem to be at different audio levels. Is there an easy way of adjusting them all so they will play at similar level ? Or do I have to go into each one and rely on my ears to get them to sound about the same?

VideoStudio :: Diminished Audio Level In Clips

Jan 24, 2012

why my audio level in my clips diminishes when imported into X4? The level is fine when the un-edited clip is viewed in Windows Media Player but is significantly lower in X4 when viewed in "Clip Mode" and even lower in "Project Mode".

I've raised the audio level as high as 500% but it's just not the same level and quality as actually recorded.
I've attached the properties from a short clip.

VideoStudio :: Importing Of Clips / Audio And Burning Of DVD

Mar 14, 2013

I've been using WMM for all my productions and have had problems currently. With the importing of clips, audio and burning of DVD's. When I first started making home movies I dabbled in the VideoStudio Pro x3 and thought it was too complicated. Now I'm wanting something more and have decided to try and use it.

So here's the question. I notice that I do not have the Burn option on my menu. Again this program came on the computer when I purchased in 2011. I'm running an HP Laptop with Windows 7 premium vista if that sounds correct. Not too savy on computers but learn as I go. Wondering if this program is a scaled down version of the StudioVideo Pro x3 and have to add that feature somehow.

VideoStudio :: Retaining Audio While Inserting Video Clips

Sep 22, 2011

I am using VideoStudio v11. I have a long section of video which is of someone making a speech. I want to insert some cut-aways into the sequence, whilst obviously retaining the audio running sequence.

I have split the audio from the video track, but I can't seem to figure out how to remove a section of the video and replace it exactly with a cut-away section of video. I need to keep the video and audio in sync. Maybe I am going about it wrong and don't need to split the audio off - but then how would I insert just a clip of video without disturbing the audio.

VideoStudio :: Video Clips And MP3 Music File - Audio Quality?

Sep 15, 2012

When I go to render a video that is composed of video clips and an .mp3 music file, I'd like to get the finished file into as big of a file as I can. In order to do that, I select the MPEG-4 option. The good news is it typically will result in an approx file size of 250MB for a 2 1/2 minute video, versus 170MB for any other file extension. The bad news is the audio is full of pops and noise. The audio remains fine with any other option other than MPEG-4.

I've tried numerous ways to 'reconstruct' the file...using different audio file extensions (it seems to prefer .wma files but there is a noticeable drop in clarity), rendering the video only then adding the audio file and rendering again...nothing works. I've also tried to modify the rendering options in each video selection that Corel offers (this is in the window that pops up asking for the file name just before you render it), but the audio never gets better.

VideoStudio :: Reducing Audio Level Globally For Clips Or Music?

Apr 13, 2011

How can I reduce the audio volume for all the clips in the project? The original sound from the video clips is just ambient noise. I want to reduce it all by the same amount throughout the project, so that the music I put on the music track will be easier to hear, with the ambient noise being only a soft background. I can't find any control that lets me change the volume for all clips at once, and the documentation isn't very clear.

After Effects :: How To Temporarily Mute Audio (not Just Reduce Volume) On Timeline

Oct 17, 2013

I'm new to Adobe After Effects and trying to adjust audio levels on the timeline using key points. This works great for db levels but the maximum level that can be set is -48db and this is still allowing some audio to "bleed through". I can mute the audio for the whole track, but that's not what I want -  I want to mute the track at certain keypoints on the timeline.

I can't see any way to do this in After Effects.

Premiere Pro :: GH2 Video File - Clips Audio Was Assigned To All The Other Remaining Clips?

Mar 5, 2014

I've been working the last 6 months with 4 GH2s and ran into some strange troubles when initially importing them to the timeline. 2 hour shots are divided into 6 or 7 different files, and when brought into PP the first clips audio was assigned to all the other remaining clips. This was pretty strange, but I fixed it by using TSmuxer. It was added time in the workflow/set up, but in the end I could produce;

The latest update of PPCC now combines the entire 2 hours of footage into each of the 7 files being imported. So it is importing 2 hours of footage 7 times for each camera. The conforming is taking forever! For 4 cameras it's conforming 14 hours of footage each, when it should literally be a 7th of that.

It is taking up large amounts of time and disk space.

VideoStudio :: How To Select Multiple Video Clips

Nov 3, 2013

First time creating a project and capturing digital (.mts) clips from digital media. I used to have a MiniDV camera which I found easy to 'capture' from.I recorded to SDHC memory card which I then copied (all folders and files) to a hard drive.I am using VS X6.

Method I used -Click on CAPTURE > IMPORT FROM DIGITAL MEDIA / Navigate to the folder where all the digital video clips are (PRIVATE/AVCHD/BDMV/STREAMClick START It takes a very long time for all video clips to be 'read' and 'thumbnails' displayed.

Now comes the problem.I want to select the FIRST 100 clips.I note that to select as clip to import I need to click the top left corner of a clip (and a tick appears) BUT I don't want to have to click on 900 thumbnails.I tried clicking on the first thumbnail then holding down the SHIFT key then clicking on the last thumbnail - didn't work.Tried the same holding down the CTRL key - didn't work.

VideoStudio :: Batch Convert With FX / Export Multiple Clips From Timeline

Aug 29, 2012

My question is, does Videostudio X5 have the capabilities to either:

A) Batch convert while using one or more of the FX
B) Export multiple clips in one go from the timeline?

I have 120+ short video clips that I need to crop to a different size. I've figured out how to crop them to the size I need by using the "Croping" function in the FX. There seems to be no way however to apply this to all the clips at once in the Batch Convert.

The only way I can do it is to import all of the individual clips to the timeline and then export them individually...one at a time....taking a lot of my time. I notice they all retain their same file names in the timeline. Isn't there a way I can select all of them at once and export them with their individual file names all in one go (with any FX I've added)?

VideoStudio :: Editing Or Separating Multiple Audio Tracks In A Video?

When I import a video into Corel am I able to separately edit each audio track? IE change the volume of one input but not the other?

VideoStudio :: Split Single Video File Into Multiple Video Files?

Feb 13, 2011

I recently purchased Video Studio Pro X3 - and after going through the knowledge base and product read me, I have been unable to find an answer to the following problem I have:

PROBLEM:

I have a number of videos (HD 1080p) that I have recorded. Each video is on average 50 minutes in length - what I want to do it to be able to do is to slice this video into 10 x 5 minute videos (based on topics discussed in the video), (so essentially clip the video into these segments and edit each one) and then when producing the video file - actually create 10 separate video files (all with editing in place) instead of one single large file.

As far as I have been able to work out, I need to go through the whole file, clip relevant sections, edit them, and then save project. I then need to go trim the saved file 10 times, to extract each time the single 5 minute video I want to create. This is a fairly manual and time consuming process, hence my hope that I can create 10 files based on the clips I have made in the larger 50 minute file in one go.

as I have 30 videos to edit, so looking for ways to save time!
