VideoStudio :: X2 Pro - Faint Audio Sound Level Upon Burning DVD?

I'm still struggling with getting this long ago purchased and registered version working properly on my XP Media Edition, installed on an 4 year old Toshiba laptop with an external NAS hard drive. (Additional future system details to be provided as is necessary.)
I had no problems with the previous version 10 on this system, or version 11 on another system, but the X2 version has been a long outstanding headache in attempting to reach a working status. I'd be more than willing to again upgrade, but only if I had assurances that I wouldn't have to reset the clock. My editing needs are very basic, so additional enhancements offer no benefit beyond bug fixes and patches.
Corel's technical support eventually resolved one frustrating X2 operational problem in setting up a separate VSP user profile with all working files, not just the program files, needing to reside on the local drive, not the NAS. (That's something that should be documented properly somewhere, if not already in this forum as I extensively searched at that time for a reference and found none.)
My current problem is that audio coming out on burned DVD's is very faint. The input is occurring with a .mpg video file and it's enclosed audio voice track.
I have tried the volume control without success, plus the mute function. The problem is that the sound level is not muted, just very faint as to be almost unheard even when played back on the DVD player at maximum volume.
I have tried extracting that .mpg audio track in VSP, saving it in both .mpa and .wav formats, then reinserting into the time line, but the result is the same. It's still very faint. However, if I use one of the sample .mpa audio files found in VSP it burns through to a DVD in the normal manner. This works, even when accompanied by the video audio which still comes out so faintly.
The volume level plays normally in VSP and VLC from the raw file, as well as from the burned DVD. It's when the burned DVD is placed in a regular DVD player that the problem shows up. I've used the same input file source for editing and burning in VS 10 and 11 with no similar problems.
I've searched the web, this bulletin board and consulted with a movie editing professional before posting this message. I'll be continuing my exploratory approaches, first with another entirely video input source and also with another DVD player, plus anything else that comes to mind but my options are becoming limited.

I've encountered a very unusual issue now with Pro X4, and reading through dozens of pre-existing discussion topics hasn't yielded a solution.
The problem is related to sound, and it only appears when trying to burn a DVD; it’s as if the volume levels for every single track (music tracks, for example) are maxed-out. The projects I’m trying to put onto DVD are documentaries—so there’s a voice/narration track, and a lot of (originally) quiet background music. Volume levels are fine under every other circumstance imaginable—it is only when an attempt is made to burn a DVD that the sound levels are boosted up to full volume, thereby increasing all of these very low-level audio tracks up to full volume. Normalize audio is not checked—in fact, it is not even enabled for me under the share/burn DVD window.
For a while the problem seemed to be related to the presence of a menu; having a menu would create the problem. Now, however, even trying to burn a disc with no menu still results in the problem occurring. It also doesn’t matter if I try to work from the project on the timeline, or if I save it as a file, and try to burn a disc from that.
I have three projects that I’m trying to burn to DVD. While this sound issue began within one of them, it has now somehow migrated to the other two as well, so that all three of them possess this same problem.

Have just acquired X4 and really like it - manual has lots of holes and gaps. Have spent hours with the audio getting CD music as background at about -20 to enable voices to be heard from video files. When coming to preview before burning the audio track is at full blast ignoring the rippling that was applied- how do you save the altered level of the music track, which was enabled?

I've been using WMM for all my productions and have had problems currently. With the importing of clips, audio and burning of DVD's. When I first started making home movies I dabbled in the VideoStudio Pro x3 and thought it was too complicated. Now I'm wanting something more and have decided to try and use it.
So here's the question. I notice that I do not have the Burn option on my menu. Again this program came on the computer when I purchased in 2011. I'm running an HP Laptop with Windows 7 premium vista if that sounds correct. Not too savy on computers but learn as I go. Wondering if this program is a scaled down version of the StudioVideo Pro x3 and have to add that feature somehow.

I have been meaning to ask this question when using previous versions but forgot so here goes Now using ProX4 (boxed upgrade) and it has the same prob as with previous versions namely that when on the Share step and adding a music file to one of the Gallery intro scenes I have not found any way to control the volume of that sound as it blares out LOUD on preview and in the final DVD video. If the viewer of the DVD video subsequently lowers that sound level then the sound level is too low for the following video. I have made a sound file at the sound level I need but even that is ignored and the sound on the intro screen is LOUD again. Corel Support advised me that I can adjust the volume when in the preview prior to butning but that does not affect the level on the final DVDF.

I'm using Corel Video Studio Pro x4 to make a promotional video for an upcoming event, and I used the split audio function to, surprise, separate the audio. Here's the problem: It has no sound. When I play it as a clip, it works fine. But if I play the project as a whole or add any kind of filter to it, it is mute. I've tried saving the project and opening it in a media player, still nothing. My music track and video track play fine, but the split audio does not.

I am editing a video and have added some music in overlay track 1. Easy to do was to have the music come out of the front left and right speakers and the captured video audio to come out of the centre speaker. Is it possible in Corel VideoStudio Pro X4 to assign the audio track to a specific speaker or do I need some other s/w to do that?

VS11+,Firefox,XP Home.I have imported a WAV file from my hard drive ,it is 705bps and 99.7 kb, it plays in Windows Media Player but there is no sound when played in the music track.Initially I raised the vol to 200(it was to play with a file in the other sound track) as I could not hear it.It played once.Then, VS "encountered a prob and had to close" and the file has remained silent ever since.The wav file still plays in WMP.

The audio level controls seem to bottom out before the sound has zeroed creating audio leakage from tracks set to minimum. -36db is not zero. It would sure be nice to fade out an audio track and have it be silent.

After staying away from video editing for some time I have just installed VS X5. But here I can't find the Audio View in which I could adjust the sound volume (using the graph) in the video track. Has it gone away or is it just that I can't find it?
Does this mean that I have to split the audio from the video to be able to adjust the volume (up and down at various places, not just the track volume).

In Video Studio 5 Ultimate, I am trying to use Screen Capture on an application that plays music and has a window with an animation showing the chord progression as it plays. When I try to capture it using Voice as the Audio Settings, it works but the sound is low quality. I assume the reason is that it is recording the microphone listening to the speakers. If I use System Audio as the Audio Settings, then there is no sound in the captured video. I have verified this using Windows Media Player on the clip as well as in Video Studio 5. The sound _is_ coming out of the speakers, and the video part is OK. There _is_ a stereo sound track in the .wmv file that is created, but it is silent.
I get the same result trying to capture Windows Media Player playing a video clip that has sound. It captures the window and the video successfully, but there is no sound. On the other hand, I am able to capture the sound using other programs, such as Freecorder. Thus there is likely nothing wrong with my setup or drivers (and it can be done).
This is on Windows 7, 64-bit. I do not get any message saying System Audio is not available, as I have seen in other posts.

I'd like to fade the audio from 100% to 50% over a period of time as opposed to a hard cut in volume. Any trick for doing this smoothly (besides cutting it into 50 individual chunks and manually doing it)?

why my audio level in my clips diminishes when imported into X4? The level is fine when the un-edited clip is viewed in Windows Media Player but is significantly lower in X4 when viewed in "Clip Mode" and even lower in "Project Mode".
I've raised the audio level as high as 500% but it's just not the same level and quality as actually recorded.

I have several movie clips I want to turn the volume down to the same level. I don´t want to do it one clip at a time. When I select multiple clips, the sound level bar turns gray and I can´t change the level.

How can I reduce the audio volume for all the clips in the project? The original sound from the video clips is just ambient noise. I want to reduce it all by the same amount throughout the project, so that the music I put on the music track will be easier to hear, with the ambient noise being only a soft background. I can't find any control that lets me change the volume for all clips at once, and the documentation isn't very clear.

I have made a slide show with narration and music. Using Photorshop 10 Organizer.
1. The sound slider has no effect. The music does not dip when there is narration on a slide. Can this be solved?
2. I cannot burn the slideshow. Trying in Photoshop (trying a CD as well as DVD) it will not burn. The CD seemed to burn, but there was nothing on the disc when it said it was completed. Trying on the DVD it put me into Premiere Elements 10. It showed the soundtrack but not the pictures. During the burn the disc came out before burning had finished. Another time it completed the burn but there was nothing on the disc. sometimes the unknown error 2131042560 was quoted.

Running Ulead Video studio 10 Plus and have used it well for the last few years, on Windows Vista Home ed. Have put the audio on to the project as i always have and ever had any problems wih it. Now though it will only play the sound when the audio clip is selected and not when project is selected, although the coloured lines move on the mixer in both sourround sound and non-surround sound when project is selected.

I have imported footage that works fine in Prelude but not at all well in AE. There is always a problem with the imported footage. But mainly there is never any audio or sound. I have read a few other post and tried the recommended solutions to no avail.

where i cant see the opacity( you know like 100% and so on) its the same with audio level, position, scale etc. here's a print screen of it [URL]
The reson why it dissapeared is because when i pressed L-L on my keyboard to show the audio waves, but instead i must have pressed something wrong or maybe the layer the layer want selected.

I am exporting dailes clips.We record dual system and there are two different audio levels - on the two different channels.However, when I export a clip from Premiere and set the audio option tol the uncompressed codec it defaults to a "single track" audio layout with no option to change. However, if i change the codec to AAC or any other I am allowed to chose whether I want a single mono track or a stereo track.
Additionally - if that single uncompressed track is an amalgamation of my original two tracks - or if it has just defaulted to one or the other.

I have recently upgraded my old VideoStudio 12.00 to VideoStudio Pro X4 and have only just started using the program again after a couple of years of absence so I am still on a learning curve.
Can I extract the audio from a video clip and if so how and how can I convert it, if necessary into an Audio Interchange File Format, so that I can export it to a program such as Audacity for removing background wind noise before importing the Audio back into the videoStudio project.
I have tried using all the audio filter functions in VS to remove the background noise, to no avail.

Recently I am getting an error message when the X6 starts to burn the DVD.
All procesess before ( multiplexing, VOB generation etc.) are working fine but when the DVD steps into the burn phase there is an error 5.0.0. sometimes it goes several times not. The error has been repeated at least on 3 different computers.
The X6 is working fine. On my computer I did not change anything except recorded new videos for editing.

In previous versions I created VSP files. When I came to create a disk I could add one or more VSP files in the share section and then I could click on burn and go and have a meal. The VSP files don't now seem to be any use at all in the share section. I am back to using version 12 that seems to work

I've been trying to find the right tool for this job for over a year (Premiere Elements, Cyberlink, Corel, etc.) and in some way or another, they all let me down (usually during the rendering process). I have an LG Blu-ray burner I bought a year ago (all my software is up to date with the latest device drivers). I have created one blu-ray disc, a very simple one as a test and it works, but I can't remember the software I used. This weekend I tried using VideoStudio pro X3. When I went to the Share tab and clicked create disc, it launch dvd factory 2010 (I think) and blu-ray was not a format choice. I made sure my version (although trial) was fully up to date with all the latest updates.

Is there a facility in X5 to automatically verify a DVD after burning, I have looked but cant find one. When burning DVDs for customers I use X5 to make an ISO file then burn it using Nero Express 6 as there is a verify facility that can be selected. Maybe I am being too cautious but on a few occasions I have had discs fail the verify, I feel a bit more confident if it passes the verify the DVD is ok. If I can burn with a verify afterwards in X5 this will make the job a bit easier.

I have a version of VideoStudio Pro X3 that came pre-installed on an HP computer. It tends to crash, but I can muddle thru to the point where I can save a project as a video file. Once that step is done, there is no option, not even a greyed out button, that allows me to burn a DVD. The saved file is there, just can't do anything with it. Been thru the process and the instructions several times, the option to burn disks seems to be missing. Is this some sort of trial version, maybe stripped down? The option to export to portable device is also limited to low res WMV, no MP4, 3g2, etc.
I tried to run an update, but the program comes back stating that no new updates are available.
