VideoStudio :: Share Step Intro Screen Sound Volume Level?

I have been meaning to ask this question when using previous versions but forgot so here goes Now using ProX4 (boxed upgrade) and it has the same prob as with previous versions namely that when on the Share step and adding a music file to one of the Gallery intro scenes I have not found any way to control the volume of that sound as it blares out LOUD on preview and in the final DVD video. If the viewer of the DVD video subsequently lowers that sound level then the sound level is too low for the following video. I have made a sound file at the sound level I need but even that is ignored and the sound on the intro screen is LOUD again. Corel Support advised me that I can adjust the volume when in the preview prior to butning but that does not affect the level on the final DVDF.

New PC (Dell) with Vista 32; re-installed first VS10+.
Because I have now Vista 32: I bought and installed a full VS12 (X2 PRO?).
Problem: when I go to the Share-step I can add clips to the project but I cannot see them in the right. So cannot add chapters or trim the clip in the share step. The buttons below the preview window stays inactive.
When I go further: I cannot see the preview of the video "Press 'play' button to start preview" stays on the screen.
When I go further till burning (DVD-folder), the program makes the folder.

I have recently been burning my videos to Blu Ray disks using VS Ultimate X6. Once I have rendered my video project I select the "burn to disk" option and create chapter menus etc and apply a music soundtrack to the menu. I generally create a BDMV file so I can store a back up copy on my media centre. I then build and burn to Blu Ray disk using ImgBurn. All works like a treat however when I play the disk the menu audio is way too loud such that on one occasion it has overloaded my sound system and caused auto shut down. Is there any way to adjust / reduce the volume of the menu audio or normalise it to the rest of the audio on the disk. I have not had any similar issues in the past creating an .ISO file and then burning the DVD.

I've encountered a very unusual issue now with Pro X4, and reading through dozens of pre-existing discussion topics hasn't yielded a solution.
The problem is related to sound, and it only appears when trying to burn a DVD; it’s as if the volume levels for every single track (music tracks, for example) are maxed-out. The projects I’m trying to put onto DVD are documentaries—so there’s a voice/narration track, and a lot of (originally) quiet background music. Volume levels are fine under every other circumstance imaginable—it is only when an attempt is made to burn a DVD that the sound levels are boosted up to full volume, thereby increasing all of these very low-level audio tracks up to full volume. Normalize audio is not checked—in fact, it is not even enabled for me under the share/burn DVD window.
For a while the problem seemed to be related to the presence of a menu; having a menu would create the problem. Now, however, even trying to burn a disc with no menu still results in the problem occurring. It also doesn’t matter if I try to work from the project on the timeline, or if I save it as a file, and try to burn a disc from that.
I have three projects that I’m trying to burn to DVD. While this sound issue began within one of them, it has now somehow migrated to the other two as well, so that all three of them possess this same problem.

why I'm having trouble with VSX5 Pro's "Sound Mixer?" It isn't working, and I don't know if my issue is one that has been reported already, or not. In my timeline (under 'voice track') I have an audio file which I separated from the main video file. The main video file is now 'muted' so that only my voice track plays the sounds. Note: I copied the same voice track and pasted 3 copies of it only to lengthen the overall playtime, but they are each on the same voice track.
The problem I'm having is that the volume adjustment settings don't work. After selecting the first segment on my voice track, I then move the slider up to maximum volume (from level 0 to 12), and then I right-click on it to save it as "default," but it ALWAYS jumps back to volume level zero (0)! It does the same thing even if I don't "right-click" and save it. The setting never stays where I want it to. What else can I do to increase the volume of the sounds on my 3 segments in my voice track, and have them stay at level 12?
EDITED: Also, is there some way I can save/export my "voice track" to an external sound file and/or convert it into a different sound format? I haven't seen a way to do that.

After staying away from video editing for some time I have just installed VS X5. But here I can't find the Audio View in which I could adjust the sound volume (using the graph) in the video track. Has it gone away or is it just that I can't find it?
Does this mean that I have to split the audio from the video to be able to adjust the volume (up and down at various places, not just the track volume).

Is it by design that I cannot hear sound from videoclips played in "clip" mode when the volume is set to 100% ? I can hear the sound OK when the volume is changed to anything other than 100%, like 101% or 99%. By the way I can hear the sound OK when played in Project mode at 100%, just not in clip mode at 100%. This is very annoying as I need to change the volume of each clip to hear it. Product is VS-X5 digital purchase. video clips are from Leica Dlux-5 foto camera, which is basically a panasonic inside (avcdh lite 720p)

I'm still struggling with getting this long ago purchased and registered version working properly on my XP Media Edition, installed on an 4 year old Toshiba laptop with an external NAS hard drive. (Additional future system details to be provided as is necessary.)
I had no problems with the previous version 10 on this system, or version 11 on another system, but the X2 version has been a long outstanding headache in attempting to reach a working status. I'd be more than willing to again upgrade, but only if I had assurances that I wouldn't have to reset the clock. My editing needs are very basic, so additional enhancements offer no benefit beyond bug fixes and patches.
Corel's technical support eventually resolved one frustrating X2 operational problem in setting up a separate VSP user profile with all working files, not just the program files, needing to reside on the local drive, not the NAS. (That's something that should be documented properly somewhere, if not already in this forum as I extensively searched at that time for a reference and found none.)
My current problem is that audio coming out on burned DVD's is very faint. The input is occurring with a .mpg video file and it's enclosed audio voice track.
I have tried the volume control without success, plus the mute function. The problem is that the sound level is not muted, just very faint as to be almost unheard even when played back on the DVD player at maximum volume.
I have tried extracting that .mpg audio track in VSP, saving it in both .mpa and .wav formats, then reinserting into the time line, but the result is the same. It's still very faint. However, if I use one of the sample .mpa audio files found in VSP it burns through to a DVD in the normal manner. This works, even when accompanied by the video audio which still comes out so faintly.
The volume level plays normally in VSP and VLC from the raw file, as well as from the burned DVD. It's when the burned DVD is placed in a regular DVD player that the problem shows up. I've used the same input file source for editing and burning in VS 10 and 11 with no similar problems.
I've searched the web, this bulletin board and consulted with a movie editing professional before posting this message. I'll be continuing my exploratory approaches, first with another entirely video input source and also with another DVD player, plus anything else that comes to mind but my options are becoming limited.

When trying to lay a music track in my project from the Auto Music library, I am unable to adjust the level of that music. Prior to laying the track the volume control is grayed-out and unavailable.
After the track is laid and the volume control is available, it has no effect on the music level in the laid track.

I used the Screen recording feature to record a little tutorial that is about 4 minutes long. I was shocked, when I watched it afterward, to hear that the sound, although fine at the start, gradually becomes fainter, higher pitch, and overall totally unusable. I thought it was just a fluke but I tried it with 3 videos, and I always get the same problem. I used the settings by default, changing only the file name and location.
Is there more to set for the screen capture to work correctly?

I downloaded the trial version of VS X5 in hopes that I could consolidate programs. I have and use Camtasia Studio for screen capture and have no problems other than it's expensive and much more than I need. I was hoping X5 would be the program that consolidated screen capture and video editing at a very reasonable price.
The problem I'm having is when I use screen capture to record a downloaded video (as an example) I get no sound. I have no problem when I use the screen record function set to capture sound over the mic (voice). If I record the same video with Camtasia Studio I have no sound problem.
I've been trying to solve this off and on for over two weeks. It would seem that if Camtaisa Studio has no problems Video Studio X5 shouldn't either.

In Video Studio 5 Ultimate, I am trying to use Screen Capture on an application that plays music and has a window with an animation showing the chord progression as it plays. When I try to capture it using Voice as the Audio Settings, it works but the sound is low quality. I assume the reason is that it is recording the microphone listening to the speakers. If I use System Audio as the Audio Settings, then there is no sound in the captured video. I have verified this using Windows Media Player on the clip as well as in Video Studio 5. The sound _is_ coming out of the speakers, and the video part is OK. There _is_ a stereo sound track in the .wmv file that is created, but it is silent.
I get the same result trying to capture Windows Media Player playing a video clip that has sound. It captures the window and the video successfully, but there is no sound. On the other hand, I am able to capture the sound using other programs, such as Freecorder. Thus there is likely nothing wrong with my setup or drivers (and it can be done).
This is on Windows 7, 64-bit. I do not get any message saying System Audio is not available, as I have seen in other posts.

I have used "Share My Screen" meeting feature a few times on my machine.
a client and it gave me the blue screen of death crash and forced a restart. After it did this 3 times I gave up.

I want to adjust the level of the sound within a clip. I take my pen tool and just add 2 keyframes a few seconds apart from eachother. I adjust the height of the last keyframe, but when I playback NOTHING happends. This is so annoying because it has always worked. I use Premiere Pro 5.5.

Running Ulead Video studio 10 Plus and have used it well for the last few years, on Windows Vista Home ed. Have put the audio on to the project as i always have and ever had any problems wih it. Now though it will only play the sound when the audio clip is selected and not when project is selected, although the coloured lines move on the mixer in both sourround sound and non-surround sound when project is selected.

How do I show high level walkways and balconies (in dashed outline) on the ground floor plan in a high volume space?
Obviously I can turn the first floor RCP on in the view and manually draw the information, but I assume these lines won't move if the walkways above move (or am I wrong?). Also this seems slightly wrong given the amount of automation available.

I’ve just produced a short video, intended for Youtube, but in the ‘Share – create video file’ step can find no options to produce an mp4 file in 16:9. My preferences were set to 16:9 right from the start and all the material is either originally 16:9 or cropped to 16:9, so it would be nice to produce the video as 16:9. I tried a few other file type options that I thought might be suitable for uploading but can’t find anything on offer that would produce a small file size in 16:9.

Now that the application bar has been dropped from CS6, the zoom level feedback is also gone in full screen mode. It would be nice to see zoom level feedback similar to how Pixelmator displays the level with each zoom in or out in the center of the frame.
The UI device is similar to the feedback that the new crop tool displays to show the changing image size.

I'm running VideoStudio Pro X5. I spent all day yesterday on a little project and wanted to get it to youtube afterward. Unfortunately, none of my share options seem to be working! I've tried creating a disc, creating a video file, and uploading directly to youtube, but after everytime I try, I get an error message and VideoStudio closes out. I tried with the demo of X6 as well. The error message says APPCLOSE and gives the dump file, I believe.

I have been using this great and just now I lost the ability to open a share module. I can see the module but there are no options in the module so I am unable to do any share with it. What happened to the share module and how do I get it back? Also while looking at the I clicked on the capture module and it is not showing any option either. It looks like I have lost these. So now I can neither capture or share. The edit seems to be working but not the others. I have rebooted the computer and that did not work.

My video won't share as a MPEG-4 HD. Here are the steps I take:
1. Click the "Share" Tab
2. Click "Create Video File"
3. Click "MPEG-4"
4. Click "MPEG-4 HD
5. Select the destination folder for the output
6. Click "Save".
The progress shows 0% and the progress bar goes away after fifteen seconds. I am sharing it as an MPEG-4 HD file because it will be placed on Youtube by someone else. I've probably done four of these projects the same way and they execute just fine.

Video Studio Pro X5: I've saved a project with several clips and then tried to "Share" the video using Create Video File. After I get to the Save screen and click Save with a filename, nothing happens - it does not start rendering and no file is saved. But then I saved a short clip from the same file as a separate Project File, and I was able to create a video file or the short clip.
What would cause Share not to be able to create a Video File from a Project File?

I have Pro X2 sotware. I have tried very unsuccsessfully to record onto a DVD disc from my video Share panel. I can get onto the template dialogue box, when I press next to record on the Disc, it goes to back, and will not go on to the next dialogue box.
I have plenty of memory and Ram. I use Windows 7. I can get onto Pro X2 ok and can download to create a video file, but I cannot create a disc.

If all I do is clip the .avi to a 10 second output (eg .mpg, .mpg, .wmv) with no editing, I get a jerky movie (which appears to be one frame per second).
I have put up a 10 second clip here to show a sample of the jerkiness (which was created using x3) but it is the same jerkiness.

I am having a very difficult time trying to figure out what is wrong with my audio in VSPx4.
When I put a video in the timeline and click on it so it is on the "clip" the video plays fine but the minute I switch it to "project" the audio dissappears. If I render it in any format, the audio doesn't return. Also, if I multi-trimm a video I am no longer able to get audio either.
Lastly, if I split the audio from the video I cannot play the project at all. It just gives me a frozen screen...
I have re-installed VSPx4 and have all the patches updated.

I have recently completed a new project and made a video file (using the DVD option). This video file plays perfectly with media player etc., but when I the burn a DVD from the file all I get is the pictures with no sound.

is there a way to share "create final video" in 1024x768 mp4 h264?
because my source video is in 1024x768. i can create final video in 640x480 but quality is lower. and when i create final video in 1280x720 or in 1920 x 1080.(presets of MPEG-4 in videostudio x4), i always get black borders on sides and ALSO under and above.

I have a Command Method which has a loop that opens and commits transactions until the user is finished with it and exits.
I would like each transaction to be undone separately but the undo command undoes the CommandMethod (along with all the transactions that occurred while in the loop)
Do I need to use the COM StartUndoMark and EndUndoMark to get this working?
