I am new to Corel VideoPro X4 and I am bringing in a fairly big video (3.6gb) with an overall time of 1 minute and 34 seconds. When I import this into X4 it clips the end off at approx 1 minute 30 seconds.
The file is an .avi if this matters.
I have clipped the start and end locations on some videos. I then export them with the Vidoe setting of "Original". This is suppost to only maintain the original aspect ratio and FPS.
When I view the exported video it is the same as the original, with the clipped start and end points..If I export to a different format then the edits are included.
Windows 7 and PS CS6. I am trying to use the motion effect "PAN" in PS CS6 but the image is large. 7364 x 1080. It pans but clips the ends. The image in the timeline has a slider at the bottom, I take that to mean the image is to wide for the video frame. How can I use the pan effect in PS cs6 to pan a large panorama ?? I tried splitting the image but the seperate images are not a smooth single image.
initial image was 1.93 gigs as a 16 bit tiff, converted to jpeg 7364 x 1080.
I'm splicing together a couple of avi files and outputting as a 720p .wmv. The final file is about 15 minutes long. At each of the straight cuts (I'm not using transitions) in the output file, two or three seconds are cut off! I've tried outputting in different formats and it still occurs, but if I shorten the entire file to a minute or so, it doesn't happen. I've tried it with proxy on and off. I've edited in the very same configuration very often previously and haven't had this problem before.

PROBLEM:
I have a number of videos (HD 1080p) that I have recorded. Each video is on average 50 minutes in length - what I want to do it to be able to do is to slice this video into 10 x 5 minute videos (based on topics discussed in the video), (so essentially clip the video into these segments and edit each one) and then when producing the video file - actually create 10 separate video files (all with editing in place) instead of one single large file.
As far as I have been able to work out, I need to go through the whole file, clip relevant sections, edit them, and then save project. I then need to go trim the saved file 10 times, to extract each time the single 5 minute video I want to create. This is a fairly manual and time consuming process, hence my hope that I can create 10 files based on the clips I have made in the larger 50 minute file in one go.
as I have 30 videos to edit, so looking for ways to save time!
I have a LIVE show recorded and I want to add Video Filters in various places within a single 4 minute video. Do I need to cut up my video to segments to add filters too or can I apply them to different spots in a single video?

i'm getting proresHq clip out of premiere to blur a face, and then i export for the grading in resolve in proresHQ. In Premiere CC, i see those overbright (above 100ire), they are not clip. But this doesn't seem to pass on in after effetcs. I try with the original .MXF, no chance. I mess a lot with Color management. And same thing in CS6. So far, i put my projet in 32bits and then drop my output white to retain a maximum of signal for the colorist.
But this is not a viable solution.
I always thought i could import a .mov in after effects, then render in the same codec and obtain the same signal.How can AE, when in 32bits, sees those value but can not write them back on export, in the same codec?
I am designing vector art that is much larger than the default 8.5 x 11. I change the page size to accommodate the art I am creating. When I export the art to EPS, all I get is this 2MB file that contains an image that is 8.5 x 11. What can I do about this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy prints are getting clipped no matter what I try to do. I am losing approximately 1/8" from all sides of the finished print. From what I can tell, the picture is actually printing larger than the specified size.
This is my process:
In the Develop module I am cropping to the desired aspect ratio using LR presets, then going straight to the print module. My printer is an HP Photosmart C4780. In the Print module I set my margins to 0 and cell size to 4in x 6in. The picture on the screeen looks exactly how I want it to print. I go to Page Setup, select my printer, paper size (borderless 4x6) and orientation, click OK. Then to Print Settings, select the HP paper I am using, click borderless, click save. If I click "scale to fit paper size", I still lose approximately 1/16" on each side. Under Image Settings, I deselect zoom to fill. I have tried selecting it but still experience clipping. I have tried moving the margins in by fractions of an inch and I seem to recover some of the image, but its a long trial and error process that I feel I shouldn't have to do.
A 4x6 test print on regular 8.5x11 paper measures 4-1/8" x 6-1/8". The print layout in LR clearly says 4x6.
For some reason when I clip an adjustment to a layer, it doesn't work. Before I clip it though, it works fine, it's only when I clip it to a specific layer, it just instantly removes the adjustment and fails to work. (By this I mean it looks like everything is working fine, with the exception that nothing has changed.) For example, I add a brightness adjustment to a photo, but as soon as I clip it to a layer it just reverts back to before and the layer is clipped. Any adjustments I make while it is clipped doesn't work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhat I want to be able to check is the areas of clipping in the shadows and highlights. Now I know Lightroom is very easy in the histogram, having a little warning button that will display when an area is off. What I've come up with so far for Photoshop is that there are only two tools, in the camera raw and in levels. Camera Raw is pretty self-explanitory, but I want to be able to check this in photoshop after I've done some work on the image. So I see that the levels tool you can click and hold on the triangle, and if you press the "Alt" key it will show you what areas are clipped. I'm not sure if I really understand it though, as it shows areas that aren't really clipped, e.g. a slightly darker area of sky is showing as light blue, but not a solid color, as being clipped. What is that?
I think that from the example above that say the reason the sky is showing a little cyan is that the red channel is being clipped in the dark sky only, and not the other channels. Do I need to be concerned about this for a good quality print? For best display on the web?

I just started using CS2 - Can I place an eps image (saved with a clip path created in PSD) into a PSD file? I used to be able to do that in PSD 7.
When I place the eps file into PSD, I don't get the clip I get the entire image.
I made sure that I saved the file with the clip path.
I'm working with another artist that uses Illustrator CC. When I open the Cc file in my CS6 there is a clipping mask where the art board border is. Also, everything is a mess with all the strokes now separate from the fills (effectively duplicating everything). Is there a setting that would allow a file to be passed back and forth between CS6 and CC that would keep the layers, styles ,and objects the same? As far as I can tell the other artist only grouped the objects and then saved the file in CC before sending to me.

i made a 3d animation and rendered about 3000 single frames as .bmp . Now i want to put them together to a video. the speed of the animation is preset, so i need every frame to show up for 0.05 second..... 20 fps not 15, not 24, not 25 and not 29.97, but exactly 20 fps. i don't know if i am just very stupid, but i can not find the settings for this.
I dont work with polygonal VPs or clipped VPs often but sometimes I have to. I recently dicovered in working with 2013 AutoCad that when I create a polygonal VP or clip a VP and place it on defpoints or even a no plot layer, the VP outline still prints???? I'm miffed

I have an image that I want to clip out. When it is clipped I want the background to be transparent so that when I import it into a Quark document it only shows the clipped image and I can see the background of the Quark document through it.
I am just trying the Bitmap Tracer tool in XDP7, actually would like only on a part of a picture.
For this clipped that actual part in Clip tool, so in the document only that one can be seen. But in Bitmap Tracer seems that always the whole image analised, how to "real" clip from the picture?
I have clipped a photo to remove the background and now want to replace one of the images in a website gallery. I know I can delete the original image and replace it but is there a way I can drag my new picture over the old one and replace it like I can when I drag an image from the Bitmap Gallery?
I presume it isn't possible as the original image is a square or rectangle that is filled with the bitmap and the clipped image is an irregular shape.

I printed (2) 7x5 Prints using template browser. The top print is getting clipped about a quarter inch.
In the top left-hand corner both horizontal boxes are stating that the size is 7x5. I have double checked all the settings. Using a Epson 4900 printer sent to US letter, the only thing that is checked is zoon to fit, rotate to fit and show guides. am I doing something wrong or is this a program error that needs to be addressed?
With the installation of SP1 (VSX4), the options to create a blu-ray video file (assuming 1920x1080 only, though the same options exist for 1440x1080) are now:

Now, I want to create a 'standard' Blu-ray disc of family videos. My camera is a Canon Vixia HF20, recording in 1920x1080 in the '60i' mode. The camera creates AVCHD formatted files. I know I don't want the progressive option, however, what is the difference between the other two options (is it MEG4 vs. AVCHD? If so, what should I choose when creating a new disc?). I want my disc to support as many blu-ray players and HDTV's as possible since I will be giving copies to various family members (meaning I don't want a format that supports only the latest releases of blu-ray players).
Can it actually be done? If I so much as drop 3D file onto the timeline and tag it as 3D (SBS L-R in my case), I get the "... lost 3D attributes..." message when I try to create a 3D file. I tried tagging a 2D file as 3D for S&Gs and got the same result. In case it matters, the files are in .avi format (and even rendering a 2D version of these makes a jumpy video, but I digress...).

How do I do this. Now of course my camera records off an SD card and I can just stick it in there and edit. The reason I am hoping I can capture video just like I can with a webcam is because the view screen on my camera no longer functions so therefore I can only point in my general direction and center up the shot in post edit.
When I record in 720p @ 30 FPS my raw files are usually around 30-35kbit rate, however whenever I compress the videos they seem to drop to around 18k bitrate which really put my videos below the standard I want. I've tried to add my own compression templates but whatever I do, I can't seem to get any of the compression options above 20.000 bitrate.
I have tested with Sony Vegas and with that I can pretty much choose myself what bitrate I want it to be. Although I know Corel a lot better and its easier for me to do what I want with it.
- How can I compress my files with higher bitrate? I want it around 30.000k.
Is it me or am I really seeing that X5 has LESS video encoding options vs X4? Really? I remember having lots of choices and options as far as how to encode MP4 the size (or ratio, etc 720 vs 1080p)
I can't seem to get 1080p but I can get 720p but in X4 I recall I could do 1080p for MP4 though.
I'm new to video editing and am using video studio Pro X3, everytime I edit some video or want to use a clip. The trimmed video always flashes the first frame at the start and finish of the trimmed clip. Also when I add a subtitle or text in the time line, that first frame flashes by at the beginning and end of of the text. This is very annoying and doesn't look very good in the project. How can I remove this first frame and how do I prevent it in the first place??

Windows movie maker and my old adobe program will not recognize this video I have recorded. Does corel pro x4 is capable of importing and editing this footage? Would love to know before I purchase. I am not looking to convert the video either, I have tried that and it has really hurt the quality.

I know that there will be black bands above and below the converted project. However, when I inserted the 4:3 video clip in the 16:9 project, it stays in 4:3.
Am trying to rotate a MPG video taken with an original aspect ratio of 16:9 in portrait mode ie long side vertical. The video loads into Videostudio fine, ie the image is sideways-on as expected and there are the black bars at top and bottom in the edit window as is usual for 16:9 videos. If I use the rotate button, this does rotate the video, but there are now black bars down the left/right sides as well as top and bottom, and the viewable image looks 4:3 (?) - it is flattened ie people look short and fat. Is there a particular project property/create video setting I need to set. I don't understand the settings - I'ver tried things like 'non-square pixel rendering' without knowing what to expect - but nothing so far seems to work.
