remove couple annoying white edges around the transparent PNG.

Solution :Here is what I did in GIMP (how to do it in PS):
Open the image
Add another layer underneath the first.
- sample the green and paint the new layer with it
Select the original and do "Alpha to Selection"
"Merge Visible Layers"
Add Layer Mask -> Selection
Apply Layer Mask
Save as PNG
- Important: In GIMP there is a checkbox option to save transparent colors. Make sure it is checked!Reimport into the SketchUp material and it should work (did for me).I want to remove all white edges , i'm okay with black edges.
Downloaded g'mic plug-in ver 1.5.6.1 just yesterday. I was looking to use "Anisotropic smoothing". It takes the rough edges off text.
Why it's not on the plug-in and or any other way to remove rough edges from text. To be used for a logo.
I am new to illustrator and I am trying to remove the white edge around my shapes. But no matter what I do, I cannot. I am using CS3.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm in hopes there is a technique whereas I can paint within the black areas to remove the white spec without worrying about going over the edge, as I would with a black paint brush. I tried different brush blending modes (screen, overlay, multiply) didn't do the trick.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm getting some white edges on my artwork, very fine ones. I googled a bit the problem, but couldn't find anything useful.
This is what I'm talking about:
Can you see them? They appear in the red figures. Looks somewhat pixelate with white color and sometimes black.
Here another example:
Because of the angle, I gues, the white edges on the red shape don't look as disturbing or pixelate as in the other picture. I even thought they weren't there, until I gave a closer look (click on the picture to see it better).
This will be something printable.
I'm using CS6 on OSX 10.9.1
As you can see, the base for the shape is fluid and curved, but since it is so close and big it creates corners. Is there any way, besides expanding the stroke and curving it manually, to remove the edges? Preferrably while still maintaining the editabiliy of the stroke.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was designing some cartoon character, but I've noticed something, I'm working on CMYK and I've got some black lines on the top layer, and some red and violet color shapes in the bottom layer for the background color, but like if the colours weren't mixing allright in the edges, like some kind of jagged white fine edge and I don't know how to get rid of it.
Here are some jpeg of the problem: [URL] ....
Perhaps it's not as strong as I see it on the CMYK Illustrator vector, but it's pretty annoying on the final result. How to get rid of these things?
What I need to do is find an easy way to remove the white spacing around an item and have the item displayed tight to the edges.
For example: I need a quick and easy way to turn this into this
With the intention of then being able to resize the image to the exact dimensions I require before then resizing the canvas size to create the exact amount of white spacing between the tops and bottom of the image.
This and other elevations have lines between new and existing walls/soffits. Joining doesn't eliminate the line. The existing wall is also in a group.
Is there any way to selectively hide an edge in an elevation?
AutoCAD 2010
AutoCAD LT 2013
Revit Architecture LT 2013
I was wondering if there is any way to detect and define edges of the slabs and also the opening within the slab, or if there is any way to automatically detect slab’s openings in Autodesk Revit (Structure, Architecture or MEP)
In other words what is important for me is to select boundary lines which shape the slab and openings (if there is any) not the mass.
In Revit LT 2014, I've tried unsuccessfully to override the color of topographic surface edges in my model to white, so the edges don't show up in plan views. I've tried through the Object Styles menu, Override Graphics In View By Element, and Override Objects In View By Category, but nothing has worked. These overrides have worked for me in the past in previous Revit Arch versions, so I don't know if LT just doesn't have that capability, or it's a bug.
I can't simply extend the topo surface past the view window edges (I only want to show contour lines on my site, since they've been surveyed, but the neighboring site has not been surveyed, so I don't want to guess at them). I really just want to hide the toposuface boundary edge.
I want to make my walls to be adjusted to the ceiling.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSelection layer edges of a particular wall,
It is really exhaustive when it comes to select an edge of a layer of a wall. For example, if we need to align a column in the wall in the correct space, we need to select the corresponding edge of layer of the wall (indicated in the screenshots below). It really takes time just to select this edge (hovering + TAB).

The attachment below shows some of our thicker linestyles that we need for our life safety plans in the form of detail lines. In ACAD we could produce "squared" corners in stead of this spraypaint look.
Is there a way to get what we want in Revit or do we just need to accept yet another limitation of this program?
I am teachnig a class on Revit and I see a new check box in the setup dialog box for printing.I did go to help file and this is what it says: "Region edges mask coincident lines. Select this option if you want the edges of masking regions and filled regions to cover lines with which they coincide. (This option is available only if the Vector Processing option is enabled.)"

View 1 Replies View RelatedBackground:Although I'm on subscription I only install every 2nd or 3rd upgrade. Just a week or two ago I upgraded from 2010 to 2013 Building Design Suite. I installed all the default components in their default locations with the exception of the following:
1. As much of the program as permitted has been installed on D:Programs;
2. I only installed the Australian Templates, and they're located in Z:Autodesk... ;
My user templates, etc. are in Z:Templates... and all my projects are in Z:Client...
Everything is working fine. I can open projects, create new projects using my templates and using the Autodesk Australian content templates.
Z: is a drive on my file server which gets backed up every night, thus I never lose any project, template or family, etc.
Having subscribed to an on-line training course, I need to install the US Imperial templates. While I'm at it, I may as well install the metric and a few others too.
Problem:To install the extra templates I went to Control Panel / Uninstall or change a program / Autodesk Revit 2013. The Autodesk Revit 2013 installer opens with three options across the bottom:Add or Remove FeaturesRepair or ReinstallUninstallWhen I choose Add or Remove Features I get the following error:Error 1327. After clicking OK I get another error:

I have not created this workset and it is not part of the "user-created" worksets. When I select an element and try to change the workset parameter the drop down-menu does not have another option, nor it lets me to input anything. View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there anyway to create a dimension string and then remove individual dimensions from it, while still keeping it as a contiguous string?
I ask, because in our office we dimension from finish face to finish face. I would like to run a single dimension string, but when I create a face-to-face dimension string it also dimensions the thickness of the walls. I just want to see the room dimensions, not the wall dimensions, but I can't figure out how to remove the wall dimensions while still keeping the others.
Furthermore, if this is possible, can I still use the equality constraint? I don't want to see wall dimensions, but would still like to be able to make all of my rooms equal.
I have a request from an Architect to detach, purge and remove links from my model every time before I upload. I used to clean up received models (MEP 2008-2010) thinking it would increase performance. It's been a years since I have done this and my model performance behaves no differently. Is there any validity to his claims that this is beneficial on the Architectural side?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI linked in a cad.dwg survey into my Revit model and I don't like the result. I'm trying to unload or remove the linked file now and I get an error message, "A serious error has occurred. It is strongly recommended that you use Save As to save your work in a new file before continuing."
Saving to a new file does not change this problem. I've tried cleaning up the survey file, moving the file to another location, changing from relative to absolute path. Revit shouldn't even be finding this file any more. Isn't linking similar to x-refing in AutoCAD?
How to get this dwg out of my Revit file?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI thought this was going to be a piece of cake in the new Illustrator CC but I am having a few unanticipated issues:)I need to create some vector tire images with different edges, such as the top one in the image below. So I thought this would be SO easy by simply creating a pattern brush in Illustrator and then using that for the outside. So I created the shape you see in the middle image below and created a pattern brush with this shape.I then created an ellipse and used the new brush for the outline.
All of those are open paths...it has taken the shape and applied it to the outline but has kept each shape separate, so I am not able to fill the circle in black. I could of course go in and manually join each little corner separately where the little shapes meet but this will take FOREVER with all the images I have to do.
