is it possible to change the line patern of leaders in text notes, from solid to dash or another one? I know I can change the tick type but can´t find anything for the line.

When I change before/after Paragraph spacing settings in the Text Formatting window, I get a message reading "please provide a value within range of 1/4" and 4". I'd like to use 1/8" for the paragrpah spacing, which is the same size as the text.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow to get the brick hatch pattern on my elevations to line up between levels. I have a two story residence with one wall the front that has brick all the up to the roof (the rest of the house has cement board side on the second story). My problem is that the brick pattern on the second floor wall does not line up with the brick pattern on the first floor.
I tried to just extend the first floor wall up to the roof, but I did not like how it wrapped around the corner of the second floor to tie in with the siding. Surely theres is a way to set the hatch patterns origin like in ACA so that all the bricks line up nice and pretty. Also would lining up the brick pattern on the quoins, which are, whatchamacallums... in-place-edit components?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've seen umpteen explanations of how to change lineweights in Revit.None of them address this simple thing I'm trying to do.
I just want to:
1. Create a few lilnestyles that appear along side the other line styles - for instance:
Thin Line, Medium Line, Thick Line, <<Really Thick Line, >> <<Absurdly Thick Line,>> etc, etc..
2. Draw a line
3. Click on the line
4. Select from a drop down list, "Absurdly Thick Line" and have it instantly inherit the linestyle I created.
The only way I can do this is to create a family, make a new subcategory of Detail Items, create the characteristics I want in the line, export it as a .dwg file, then import it into Revit - and then I see the new line style along side the other line styles, and I can then select any line and make it the new line style.
Certainly, there is an easy to find, simple, straightforward way to add line styles to the existing group - and have those new line styles become immediately accessible from the "Modify Lines" Linestyle Drop down Menu.

Is there a way of globally fixing this issue without having to fix each one independently?
Is there a way to add the number of control points on the leaders? if i need to make it bend multiple times, is that possible?
currently i have two, one to control a "kink" and one to control the end point. can you add more to it or adjust a setting?
Any export issue with Revit, where the leaders in the Revit model are exploded when the model is exported to AutoCAD. If so is there a setting or a procedure in Revit that fixes this other then redrawing the leaders in AutoCAD?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe text that we're using for the majority of our notations doesn't look very good at 1.0x scale so I try and adjust the paragraph line spacing to 0.8x as I go. I also know that if I create MTEXT and adjust the paragraph line spacing at the prompt it will "stick". However it doesn't stick for leaders and there's no real way of creating a permanent setting, is there?
Slight inconvenience of adjusting that setting each time I create a leader.
I have several spaces with the same types of case work. But instead of having each type have a general key note, I would like each instance of the type have a unique key note similar to the way doors work.

I would like to be able to point at anything and place a tag (like a circle with a letter inside) and then have a list of notes that I can place on the sheet. I don't want to have to tag a specific item (like a door or a wall), I just want the arrow to indicate a point in space (like an arrow connected to text), but have a tag at the end of the arrow instead of text then have that tag reference some sort of legend that I can place on a sheet. Is this possible in Revit? If not, why not - this is a common requirement in architectural drawings.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'd like to build a new wall type that displays with a different line weight than is set in the Cut Line Weight for the Wall objects.
I've been using object overrides to do this, but I'd like to have a wall style the pervasively dispays with a different cut weight than the rest of the walls. So it would have a different weight when cut in section as well.
Is there a way to change the elevation of the cut line for an individual stair without changing the cut line for the entire view? The only way I know change the cut line is thru View Properties > View Range > Cut Plane.

I thought this might be a glitch on my machine at first till I realized that it would not work on any machine in our office. I must have clicked a wrong button or something when installing Autodesk Inventor 13 because it worked perfectly fine in Autodesk Inventor 11.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI was adding text and leaders to a drawing and after the text was entered I pushed the escape key. It then asked me if I want to save my text. It also had a check box asking me if I always want to perform that so it wouldn't keep popping up with that question. Well, I had checked that I didn't want the text and I also checked the box to always perform that answer. And now it won't save any text that I write. It just keeps the leader. How can I get the text to stay and undo the box that I checked to always answer that way (to not keep text)?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I draw new linework and text it shows up greyed out, even though it should be showing up full tone. Curiously, blocks that are inserted on the same layer as the linework and text come in full tone.
The attached image provides an example of what's happening (it's difficult to see the greyed out text reading "TEST", the leader, and a sawtooth section of polyline).
More info:
Xrefed drawings are displayed at full tone.
Linework from earlier sessions are displayed at full tone - this is only affecting new work.
This happens only in this drawing.
This happens on different sessions of C3D (i.e. different computers).
This happens on when drawing on any layer.
The layers are unlocked.
This occurs in both model and paperspace. The drawing has been audited (no errors were found). Everything prints out properly.
I suspect there's a variable that deals with visibility has been inadverdantly changed in this particular drawing.
