My Recent Files list not longer updates so that, when I start Revit from the Start menu, I can't specify the file to open at the same time that I start the program. Once Revit is open, the Recent Documents list, from the Application button, is correct. All other programs, including AutoCAD and Inventor, show up correctly in the Start menu.

using Save As to a network path that is not persistent. When starting CS3, it fails to open until network paths in recent files are restored.
It seems to lookup all recent file locations while starting up.
I have been working on a project all week, including today. I saved my project again today at 5:00 p.m. closed Illustrator and went to dinner. Came back home, logged into Illustrator at 6:30 p.m. and my project is not there. When I go into "open recent files" the only files that come up are dated last week.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I start Lightroom from the schortcut to Lightroom 4.1 in the Windows Start-menu it works fine.In the Startmenu there is also a list of recent files that appears on "mouse over" on the Lightroom shortcut.When I click one of those recent files, my computer starts an installation process (for the 64 bit version) as if Lightroom weren't installed already.After 30 seconds of searching for the installation files at a standard location, the program states that it didn't find the files.
Because LR already is installed I click Cancel to terminate this process and just try to aviod clicking the recent files next time.
I installed a lightroom 4.2 and i was about to import my pictures but lightroom cant read my files in my computer. It can read files but those files are from years ago. I wonder why my recent files cant read. I dont know what to do. I already reinstalled it but then again its still the same. I dont think it was on the installing the lightroom but i am suspecting that it has something to do with the catalog?

View 6 Replies View RelatedEvery time I launch Paint Shop Pro X5 my recent file list is empty. I thought the program was supposed to remember the last four images that were opened. I then have to select File > Open but now the program defaults to a folder called My Pictures. I store my images in my own folder elsewhere. I would like to set my folder to be the default folder. I have to navigate to my folder ever time I launch the tool. If I go to File > Preferences, I do not see a place where I can change the setting.

P.S. - resetting workspace by pressing F8 at startup is not an option.

I am running Mac 10.6.8 and recently upgraded to PS6. I can no longer print to my Epson 3880 nor can I open NEF files. I have applied all udates from Apple, Epson and Adobe.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a Copy of AutoCAD Recent Documents Manager.exe from the autodesk website and it won't run on any of the computers in our system. I was thinking about writing a LISP routine to delete the filenames with a DST suffix by replacing them with the next filename in the list. My question is If I replace the file with the next one above and the filetime,filepinned and class respectively. When I reach the end of the list can I just use "" for the file,filetime and class and integer 0 for filepinned (it looks like it requires a double).

If it were not made from a dwt, I could change the .dwg file and just reinsert the block and let it redefine the block, done. But since all of the text in each drawing was input using a template, I cannot do this without losing all of that data. We are not permitted to explode the title block, delete the old logo & add a new one as the drawing format needs to remain as one entity. Is there a way to automatically update these dwgs without re-entering all of the title/revision block text on every drawing?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am early in my learning curve on Lightroom. I understand that changes are not automatically applied to an image file but rather kept in a Lightroom database to preserve the original (non destructive). However, that is not a goal of mine. After making changes to a file or adding keywords, I want Lightroom to automatically update the actual files (in my case jpegs) so that I do not need to export them to be used elsewhere such as in a slideshows etc. I have found settings that imply the "metadata" is or can be updated, but I do not know if that is the "develop" changes I made or the keywords or if I need to do that every time before I close lightroom. Right now, I do an export of my entire folder of 20,000 images after each session where I make changes and then I use that export as a source for my automatic backup programs and supplies a continuous slideshow on another machine.
Maybe another way to say it is: after making changes and closing Lightroom, I want to be able to take an image from "My Pictures" folder (which contains all my images) and know it has the latest changes made and the latest keywords embedded. I do not want to have to export these files. first.
I have recently updated my template files in Inventor (.idw, .ipt (standard/sheet metal), .iam (standard/weldment)).I added ilogic rules and custom iproperties to them.
I would like to update all my existing files to have these changes so they would be available when we copy design new parts.Is there a way automate the process of updating these files? I have about 4924 of them.

Thumbnails are fine and reflect the changes I've made in the RAW files, but some previews just show my default settings.

At the current time I deploy DLLs by copying all files and a Lisp file that loads the DLL to each machine.
I am trying to find an elegant way of installing DLLs and updating them (Preferably free).
I am curious as to what other programmers are doing in regards to DLL deployment and updates.
My Lightroom 4 catalogue is now automatically updating my DNGs from Process 2010 to 2012 when I open the folder in Library. The Update Dialog box does not open. I do not want this to happen automatically, but cannot find a preference or setting to control this.

I would expect the part (.ipt file) to get updated with a hole through it when I save the assembly drawing, however it doesn't. Do I have to change a default setting or does inventor no do this?
