AutoCad 3D :: Sketch In 3D Of Truncated Pyramid - Twisting Vertical Structure
Oct 24, 2011I am trying to produce a sketch in 3D of a truncated pyramid, base 11 meters square and top 20 meters square. Its 80 meters high and I need to twist the top 45 degrees to create an iconic tower for a friend in Brazil.
Have drawn the pyramid but how can I twist the top and make the vertical lines follow?

Apr 5, 2012I'm following a "Simple Mass Creation" exercise in a Revit book, which says to create a cube, a sphere, and a pyramid. It doesn't say how, though, it just goes on to the next step of dividing the masses into floors. After much research and trial and error, I figured out the cube and sphere, but how the heck do you create a pyramid? At first I was thinking of a blend, from a square to a point, but that's not an option. Then I tried to use void shapes to remove parts of a cube...and I'm getting an error message because my voids are overlapping and there's no solid to cut. There MUST be a faster and less complicated way to create such a basic form.

Dec 15, 2011I want to create a pyramid with a base of three sides with different lenght. In the end i want to have a solid where i can drag and move the notes to change the hight,lenght and the angle of the sides.
I already managed to draw it in 3d but now i want to convert the drawing into a solid and keep it flexible to change the parameters by draging the notes.
I also tried to extrude a triangle with a specific angle but then i was only able to move the top note up and down changes the hight. Doing it this way the top note also kept beeping in the center-point of the triangle.

Dec 8, 2011I am creating three shapes out of a pyramid. I figure if I split the pyramid in half, I can create two, then mirror them and blend the two together to make the final design. I have figured out how to create a pyramid by extruding a cube with a taper.
My pyramid is 40mm x 40mm x 40mm. I need to cut it in half, diagonally, top to bottom.
When I have the pyramid in the workspace, I see nothing that I can select - that will allow me to create lines where I need to - to cut them out.
I'll add a logo in 3-d that I am trying to create. (also, I am using this project to familiarize myself with the software.)

Sep 29, 2013Assume that I have an odd pyramid 3D-solid say with a polygon basis that lies on a "floor". The apex was higher than the ceiling, so I "sliced" the pyramid to fit it right under the ceiling.
Now, I change my mind and want to make the ceiling slightly higher (say, 1"): after raising the ceiling I am left with a sliced pyramid that is cut 1"below the ceiling. Question is : what is the best way to re-extend the pyramid (and make it look like it was cut by the higher ceiling) ?
I cannot just "undo" because too many things happened in the meantime.
I can imagine re-creating the unsliced pyramid by press-pulling the upper sliced surface and then slice this extension with each side of the original sliced pyramid and ultimately re-slice with the new ceiling. Can I do better / faster than that ?
Photoshop :: CS6 - Brushes Getting Truncated On Circle
Sep 26, 2012I have a weird bug in CS6 Photoshop... all brushes, at about 30 size, are getting truncated on the circle. Paint brush, background eraser, doesn't matter... most of the times all I see is the brush outline from 9-12 o'clock. The other 3/4 of the arc are gone. As I make the brush smaller, I see more, and as I make it larger, even the center cross hair starts to disappear.

Sep 30, 2012CS5.5 has worked like a charm until a week ago. All of a sudden pictures I had worked on in PS and saved back to LR3 showed up in LR corrupted. When trying to open them in PS I get the following message: "Could not complete your request because a JPEG marker segment length is too short (the file may be turncated or incomplete)."
Oddly, it does not happen to all files I work on, though I am fairly consistent in using the same procedure: I import from my camera to LR (3.6) work on the RAW file in LR and do my fine-tuning of the shot in PS (PS 12.1 x64). In PS I save the file back to LR by using "Save" and add an additional file to an external disk in .jpeg format using "Save as ...".
Another odd thing is that there also appears to be a time issue connected to this. After working on my photos, I upload them to my website, and it works fine. After I close PS/LR and reopen again (there could be a reboot in there sometimes), the pictures that were fine previously, are now corrupted. In LR the pic is missing the bottom third (gray snow), split and a color level is missing.
If I try to open the picture in Preview, it tells me the file is empty. Quick Look will show the thumbnail, but nothing more. The file in its folder is obviously only the thumbnail as the size is somewhere between 80 - 120 KB.
I recently updated my OS to 10.8.2 ...Obviously, this is no way to work. Is there some workaround for this problem, short of having to invest in CS6 and LR4?

Nikon D300, files imported directly from camera without card reader.
I use Topaz and SilverEFEX Pro 2, but it does not appear to have an effect on the truncation

Mar 11, 2008When I try to open a large (98MG) tiff file in PhotoShop, I get the following message: "This file may be damaged (the file may be truncated or incomplete)." When I continue, the image appears with a blue line through it. I am, however, able to view the file using Microsoft Office Document Imaging, and the image is perfect.

Apr 27, 2013Is there a way to correct the slight inverted pyramid effect caused by a 17-40 when taking interior room shots in Lightroom or do I have to go to PhotoShop to do this? I have found the lens profile correction but are there other tools in LR to use? What I am seeing is a slight outward shift from floor to ceiling on side walls and need to straighten these walls.

Jun 9, 2013Trying to finish up first video project shot with 5D MK11 in 1080p.
I had to convert all clips to smart objects it seems to adjust highlights.
I had rendered the project once to 1080P but forgot part of one clip and dragged it into PS.
It is the exact same size but is not positioned correctly and I lose part of the right edge.
I thought it would fix itself with rendering it to 1080P as the image and canvas size are identical and from the same shoot--but it didn't.I hit "fit in screen" or actual pixels but not sure that matters.

Dec 14, 2012I am importing a Gis (2007) shp file into C3D 2013 (Attaching Query and everything else) and everythings seems to be working. However, I get an elevation of 3 for all contours (Even before the Query a 3 feet elevation is depicted in the properties windows).
The only reason behind this, that I could think of, is that C3D is not reading after the 3.***** in the dbf file.

But in Civil 3D 2013, whenever I use the # symbol, the description gets truncated. So, using the point description above, it will show up in Civil 3D 2013 as STK rather than STK #32.
Is this a setting or something that I can switch on so that the I can use symbols such as # and - in my point description?

Feb 25, 2012I got CS4 Masters Collection about 3 years ago when I was still using a Power PC G5 Mac. Since then, I've upgraded my setup with Intel machines. I'd like to use Adobe Premiere Pro on my Mac Book Pro, as I cannot run it on my G5. I found a download link on Adobe's servers for the old Adobe Premiere CS4 trial, and I downloaded it. Since it isn't installed on the G5, I should be able to use it on my Intel machine, right?
So I went into System Info on one of the other CS4 apps installed on my G5, and found the serial code, but it was shortened to 20 characters, when the registration requires 24. How can I find the last 4 characters so I can activate Premiere? I found a guide, but it only works for PC's.

Aug 23, 2013I am trying to get my points to displey the " mark from our descriptions. The description keys are set to $* and I have tried changing the Label Style from full description to raw description. I cannot get any information after the " mark from our field data. LDD used to put it in, but civil 3D truncates the information. I know I can do a find and replace in the .csv file, but would rather not have to continually edit the .csv file. Where the setting in civil 3D is to allow this to happen? I have even messed with the Point File Formats to no avail.

Mar 26, 2012I am using Revit Architecture 2012 and I am trying to create a Room Tag. I have attached the file below. I want the tag to read the room name and the room dimensions. Then I would like an option to turn "Unfinished" on and off. I can get this to work as long as it is a type parameter. When I load it into the project it works well and everything is there. But if I change it to an instance parameter (which is what I want) then when I load it into the project the option to turn the "Unfinished" on and off has disappeared.
