When exporting to CAD formats image files such as company logos do not stay within the CAD drawing created. The image files will appear as separate files image files such as JPG. Is there any method to export to CAD where the image files will be bind to created Autocad dwg file. Is this possible.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having a problem seeing a file in LR 4.2 when it is in the folder where I want it to be.
I created a composite tiff image from two raw files that reside in two different folders. I had exported the two raw files from LR as tiffs, opened the tiffs in Photoshop CS5, then combined them into a multi-layer tiff to create a 600+MB composite file. That composite was saved in Photoshop under a new file name using "Save As" . I knew the new composite file would not be in the LR catalog until I imported it. When I imported, the image went into a new date-named folder (call it folder "A"). So far, it all made sense to me.
From this point on things got funny. Working within LR, I tried to move the uniquely named composite from folder A into the folder that one of the component files came from (call it folder "B"). The Move failed. Instead, I got an error message saying the file already existed in "B." I could not see the file in "B" using lightroom, but MS Explorer revealed that the file was indeed there. I don't understand how it got there.
Still trying to get my composite in "B" recognized by LR, I first deleted the composite from "B" using explorer, then went into LR and moved the file from "A" (where LR recognized it), into "B". Still no good. LR does not show the file in "B", yet it appears in explorer.
I suppose I could live with this composite file in its own folder, "A," but that is not really where I want it. More importantly, I don't understand why I can't see it in LR in the folder where i want it.
- Is my catalog file damaged?
-Might the XMP files have anything to do with this?
-Is the size of the file (>600MB) a factor?
Win 7, LR 4.2, PS CS5.

View 7 Replies View Relatedi need to send a drawing out to a clent of our's. it has a XREF with it . so here what i do. open drawing, purge it, go to xref manger highlite the referrence, right click, hit bind, Bind Xref/DGN underlay window comes up check bind hit ok it go thur it stuff. the xref disapear from the drawing but it still shows in the xref manger with a coment on the command line that say : Error : at least one of the specified xref failed to bind for an unknown reason.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having tons of trouble with the hair system for a character I've made. One that I'm very stumped on is for the rigging. I have a skull cap with hair on it and then the character separate. I have created a skeleton with which I want to smooth bind to the skin. While the smooth bind seems to be working, I'm having issues with the hair not following the global skeleton when I move it. The character herself moves, but her hair stays put and I don't know where to go from here to make her hair follow. I have tried combining the skull cap and character. I have tried grouping the skull cap and character. I have tried just about everything, but the hair will not follow. The most I could do was make the follicles and skull cap move, but not the hair. Any way to get the hair constraints to move along with the hair system after it has been binded, that would be great too as I have used hair constraints to form her hairstyle.

View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing ACA 2012 and Windows 7 Pro x64. I have a drawing with two viewports. In one I'm showing the electrical layers and the base floor plan. In the other I'm showing casework and the base floor plan. All of the layers are contained in one xref so some are frozen in each viewport. When I bind that xref using the insert method (bindtype=1) some of the electrical layers show in the casework plan. I've tried everything I know of but I can't figure out how to surpress this behavior. If I use bindtype=0 the problem goes away but I end up with ugly layer names.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm pretty new to the whole rigging and skinning process, so in order to skin my model I've used the Interactive Skin Bind Tool (Skin>Bind Skin>Interactive Skin Bind Tool) which so far hasn't caused any problems. But when I started to modify the weighting on the geometry it appeared that the weights are reversed meaning that when using the Interactive Skin Bind Tool (Skin>Edit Smooth Skin>Interactive Skin Bind) on the left leg, I actually modify the weights on the right leg and vice versa (see image below).
(Btw, I'm using Maya2013 Students Version).
I've been teaching myself inventor over the past couple of months so I can design the rear suspension setup for my car.
I've got the IRS modelled with enough detail to show my engineer the concept, but I want the suspension to "work", ie each link will move as the suspension flexes.
I'm attaching the arms (blue, dark green, red and yellow) to the cradle (orange) using the joint command, and selecting "rotational". This works fine and the arms can swivel about a single axis as they should. But as soon as I attach the knuckle (lime green) to the other end of all the arms using the same type of joint (except the joint with the blue lower control arm, which is a ball joint), nothing will move.
I understand that in real life, each joint has a bit of "slop" in it, allowed by rubber bushings, which prevents the whole setup from binding.
To my uneducated mind, the solution would lie in one of 3 methods: Convert all the joints to ball joints (I'd like to avoid this if possible) Add some kind of flexible rubber bushing to all of the joints (probably not possible) Get rid of the rotational joint constraints altogether and somehow mate all the parts to each other using work points, rather than a cylindrical bolt and eyelet, so that each arm has full range of movement in both the X and Y axes.
I see that keyboard shortcuts in revit 2013 can be eported as xml and imported back from an xml? Is it possible to export the shorcut list as a simple txt file or excel file, for printing purpose. Some of the bim modellers in my office would like to print the shorcut and stick it on their desk.

Just to test it out I changed the lable of the second one to FILE PATH and the first one that I did to CLIENT NAME. When I loaded it to my project, the second label dissappeared and the first lable now shows.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using LR 4.3, and would like to know how to determine which .dat cache files are associated with a certain folder of images. I don't know programming code, and, when I open a .dat cache file, I cannot determine which image file it goes with.
I've noticed that when I remove a folder from Lightroom, the cache files for the images in that folder remain, because the size of the cache doesn't change. I know I can flush the cache, but I don't want to have to reload tons of .dat files already present in the cache.

I have made a 2 floor building in ACAD ARCH 13 and when I import the DWG files into Revit, they just show the 2D line drawings even when I look in 3D mode. Do I have to re make all of the walls and such in Revit or am I missing a step to import all of the windows, doors, and wall heights?
