Is there a way to return the work area bar to automatic after you move it manually? I know about the alt-click to expand to teh entire work area but that is not returng it to the auto mode.

I just opened up GIMP and to my horror it had been changed completely without my consent.
First question: I assume this was some sort of automatic update. How do I turn that off, so that I have control over whether or not I want to update?
Second question: How do I go back to the previous version? I can't find basic functions, because they've been moved.
I was trying to do a quick project, and to learn a whole new set up. I'm appalled to find that my program's been changed without giving me any choice in the matter, and then having to sign up on a list serve to fix the problem. Why not set up a forum, where we can subscribe to just the thread that's relevant to us?
My spot removal tool in Lightroom 5 does not appear to be working correctly. When using the tool, it does not show the second circle indicating where it is sampling from and, therefore, I cannot manually move to sample from another place. Do I need to reset something?

View 6 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to have a certain preset of effects activate on any and all footage dragged into the timline? I'm working in a 24FPS 2K timeline with 60FPS 1280p footage. To have it play the way I want I have to drag down the footage, set the scale of the clip from 100% to 150% so it fits the screen. Then set the time playback to 50%. Is there a way to have the time playback and scale change automatically affect every piece of footage dragged into the timeline?

I am making a cart that whenever you move it, it should rotate the wheels automatic. I did this using expressions. At this moment I have a code what makes the wheels spin when the cart is moved on the Z-Axel but now I want to have it work on the X-Axel as well so the cart can make turns.
This is the code I'm using on the wheels: frontwheels.rotateX = cart.translateZ*40;

View 7 Replies View RelatedI create 9 Premiere projects, each under a root directory (proj/p1;proj/p2;proj/p3;etc.).
As I was working on my videos I was capturing screen shots of the video and using them on different layers. that is, I would be in proj/p2 and I woud capture screen shots to proj/p2/assets. The problem is that sometimes I would forget to change the capture directory and I would be in proj/p3 and I'd capture the image to proj/p2. I did that a lot.
So, I changed to a different computer that had a different real path to proj and now, all the images I did the "cross capture" incorrectly don't show up. When I try to do a "reattach" the file that is showing not found, it does not actually attach it. I have to re-add it to my project and surgically replace the new file on the time line (very painful and slow).
THERE I'D LIKE TO ASK ABOUT CUTTING ... SO I'VE DONE THE SCISSORS THING ,CLOSED THE SELECTION AND IT APPEAR IN A FRAME , HOW DO I MOVE SELECTED AREA ? ALSO HOW TO MAKE THE FRAME ITSELF DISAPPEAR ?

This can be accomplished with a full sized keyboard by using the number pad on the right, but cannot be accomplished by using the regular laptop keyboard. Am I missing something? I'm working with an illustrator file with several drawing areas. I often need to insert a new drawing area. I then reposition the new area and the content of the old ones by the menu item "arange drawing areas" ("Zeichenflächen neu anordnen") and check the check box "move content with drawing area" (Bildmaterial mit Zeichfläche verschieben"). However, this does not move elements which have been hidden or disabled using the according icons in the layers dialog. How can I achieve this? Actually I would be happy if invisible content would be moved together with its drawing area, since it is somewhat logic that disabled contents are not moved.
It's been months since I've been able to edit because Premiere CS6 won't load any footage. It hangs up for hours simply trying to open project folders to import footage. I've been using Premiere for more than eight years, and I've never had it behave this way...everything was perfectly fine under CS5.5; but, once I upgraded to CS6, the program became useless.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Master Collection suite and Premiere Pro individually more than once and nothing works. Short of taking the software and external hard drive home, I have no other Macs with which to edit.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI find the crop tool in CS6 to be such a pain compared to the version in LR4. When using the mouse (in CS6) to reposition the crop area the box hops around and seems to "jump" into certain positions - this is especially pronounced if it gets close to an edge.
I realize I can reposition with the arrow keys but I was wondering if there is a way to disable the "jumping" while using the mouse?
I cannot see my photo in my display/work area when I open one, what could be causing this? It displays that a photo is open in my layers panel, but I can see nothing on my screen.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was going through an exercise and tried to use one of the listed shortcuts to viewing (Alt+LMB+click) and it made the Maya workarea screens dark grey. My attempted efforts to find out how to undo this failed.
Not sure if I mis-typed the above or what. Only the work areas are dark gray.
Sometimes when I work on a complex design project, I've notice that after I save and re-open my file, some of my work area was rasterize and uneditable.

I've noticed that once I'm deep into a many layered project that I can't click on a specific layer in the work area but need to click on the layer I want to work on in the layers palette. This wasn't a problem in previous versions, but now when I select more than one clip (or grouped objects), the effect controls go away. I have a lower third (the title and 2 different cropped color mattes) that I want to be able to move and resize while maintaining their relationship, and I can't figure it out. I've been using Premiere for a long time, and this is a huge inconvenience. I also cannot highlight multiple clips, and adjust their length together. Sometimes it will work (rarely), but most of the time it will only adjust one at a time. It's a real nuissance when you have upwards of ten layers you need to adjust together.
