When the import dialogue box is open in Premiere Pro CC, I sometimes need to use the search box in the upper right-hand corner of the dialogue box. The system will allow me to enter a search term, but it will not do the search. I'm using Windows 8.1 64 bit. Are others experiencing the same problem?
View 4 RepliesI was working on a project in Premiere Pro 6. I had imported about 200 files and almost completed the project. I tried to import another file and the import function would not work. In addition, it disabled about 90 percent of the program. Menu selections had turned grey. I closed the project and program and restarted, opening a much smaller project. Worked OK until I tried to import. The import wouldn't work, and the program was disabled. This is not a case of actually selecting a file to import. The function crashes before you have a chance to actually select a file. On deadline.

For example - I have a 30 minute sequence with 7 tracks of dialogue. Each clip of dialogue is labeled with a line number from a script. When a producer comes over and asks "Can you quickly go to line 416?"...I'd like to be able to quickly do that. Avid has a function where you can perform a find in the timeline for specific file names.
I am new to VBA for Autocad and have basic knowledge of Autocad, but have experience with VBA with EXCEL. I am trying to search for text written on to a drawing that has been written as plain text. There is no table. I am writing code to open each drawing in the file as a for each next loop and then find text, then copy text to a table cell, in a table set up within the loop statement. Then I intend to transfer the data to Excel. When I copy the text into the cells of the table and transfer to Excel, the text does not transfer. Is there something I need to do to re-format the text copied straight from the drawing into the table cell. The drawngs have been produced by some external drafting service provider, most likely in India. The functionality of Autocad has not been used and therefore, there are no tables. The text titles, sub-titles etc... are just basically text with lines drawn around them, to simulate a table that looks like a table but are infact not.
My main problem is copying the plain text (titles, sub-titles, references etc...) into a table cell for export to Excel. Any knowledge of copying Autocad plain text to Autocad table cells
I have included both a text and a date as part of the photo caption on each of my photos. When I have attempted to search for a specific date or year, however, nothing comes up. For example, if I search for my photo on "Fido 1985", I can find Fido, but if I simply enter "1985", I get nothing.

View 2 Replies View Relatedusing lightroom 4.3... when I import photos, they appear in random order in the IMPORT viewing window. With pervious versions of lightroom, they were always in order of file name. It becomes more time consuming to select specific files to import to a file if there are 2 or more jobs on one CF card ( I have photos of my kids skiing mixed up with a portrait session.). Is there a way to sort the photos (by file name, or time) before import? I do know how to sort post import.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have LR 3.6 and have created a catalog of pictures from a ski trip I took last year. All of these pictures and the LR catalog are in one folder on my hard drive. After sorting, deleting and retouching quite a few pictures I now notice that one picture is missing from the library. If I open the folder in Explorer (Win 7) I can see the picture, and Windows Picture & Fax Viewer will open/display this picture so it appears the file itself is fine.
However, I cannot get this picture into the library for some reason. When I choose File>Import Photos this one picture doesn't show up in the list of photos. It's as if Lightroom can't see this picture for some reason.
Oh, and I don't know if it matters, but there is a movie clip with the same filename but a different extension (obviously) that does show up in the library and the import dialogue. The picture filename is DSC_0001.jpg, the movie filename is DSC_0001.mov.
1. I prepared a 57 mm square, proportionally resized it to 58 mm and applied enter for the change but it remained as is i.e. 57 mm sq. Next I made the same changes through property bar, it worked. Through further experiments I observed it only make transformations through enter if we give x=val and move to y=val through tab and press enter. Or if we directly give new value to y and press enter. The property bar doesn't has this problem.
2. Transformations dockers problem of showing wrong position on y-axis. Screen shot attached.
3. Open and Import dialogue boxes don’t get cancelled as we hit ESC key. This problem remains as is from v16.0.0.707.
4. Printing - EPS with CMYK / Native colour management shows graying problem on RIP. Facing it as a major problem.
Problems encountered even after resetting through pressing F8 at startup.
Slow rendering image previews in import dialogue?
My LR 5 is as slow as a snail generating those previews.
Importing my RAWs form the EOS 6D (saved on a 95MB/s 32 BG SanDisk Extreme Pro) it renders only the 12 or 24 displayed previews and leaves out the rest (the next only when I'm scrolling down). For 12 images LR5 needs 8-10 seconds. LR4.4 does the same process for all 150 RAWs in 1-2 seconds.
It doesn't matter if I want to import to my workstation (Dell Precision T1650, 8core Intel Xeon E3-1240 V2, 16GB RAM, 64bit) via USB 3.0 (Reader & Port) or to my laptop (Dell Latitude E6400). So it must be LR, not my hardware.
Are there known issues with the Canon-RAW format? I just updated EOS firmware to 1.1.3, but the renderspeed stays the same. For 1 image 3-4 seconds single...
I have unchecked the box for "Show import dialogue when memory card is attached" in LR 4 and checked it in LR 5, but LR 4 is still opending every time when I insert a card in my card reader.

The functionality 'Export for web' doesn't work and also it's not possible to open .png files. I've tried to delete the preferences 'Adobe Photoshop CC Settings' but that didn't seem to work.
CorelCad seems to match up fairly closely and exports nicely to my AutoCad LT 2011, mostly, but I can't seem to get the Export to CorelDesigner function to work. It goes through the conversion process, but the file never actually generates. I have the Trial version (registered).
Does CorelCad has an ALIGN object (entities) command?

1in *(x^3) -- no good
(x^3)/1 in -- no good
(x/1 in)^3 -- no good
Error is that "Equation y(x) contains errors. Expected units are length".
The point here is: Why should typing in such a simple equation as y=x^3 be so difficult??? Can't even do (x*x*x)/1 in & make it work.
I have a HP laptop on which I run AutoCAD 2012 AND Civil3D 2012 both of which for some reason do not have the function keys working as normal. Oddly enough if I attach an external keyboard, the function keys work as expected.

I have Autosave set to 20 minutes and also have the box for creating a backup file with each save checked under Options > Open and Save.
When Drawing Recovery Manager opened today, the dwg I was working on says it was last saved over 1.5 hours ago. The bak file was last saved yesterday. Usually, there's a sv$ file, but not this time. The sv$ file is typically the most up-to-date file.
Shouldn't I see a "last saved" time and date of about 30 minutes ago for my dwg? Same for the bak file? Is there some other variable that I need to set?

I'm trying to mirror some geometry in my Maya model of Warrior.I do this by duplication special in X axis. I get the geometry duplicated..but it is also rotated around Z axis.
I don’t want this rotation. I had this problem also before on some other geometry...but I solved it with Freeze geometry. The problem was that the geometry axis system was rotated. I think this is caused whit Mudbox because I was using also Mudbox and I rotated the geometry there.
Now the Freeze function doesn’t work. The axis system is still shifted. How I can set this axis system to the one that is set in Maya? Or duplicate it whit the Axis system set in Maya ?
The "Edit In..." function doesn't wok when I choose Photoshop CS5 and select the "Edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments".

I just created a new project and can't get the stop trigger function to work. When I preview it plays through the entire timeline. I've tried several different combinations of triggers - sym.play from () at the beggining of the timeline and then adding a sym.stop at () and no matter what, it plays through the entire timeline.

On all my pictures each person is tagged. For my mother the Person Tag is called "mother"
I created a saved search with the criteria Person include "mother". The problem now is that also pictures are shown with my mother and other persons. But i would like only pictures from my mother without other persons. Something like... "Person is mother and not person "sister" and not person "friends" etc.
I'm using Lightroom 5.2RC. Not sure if this started happening with the 5.2RC version or if it's been an issue for a while.
While in Library mode, when I choose a library search filter preset, say all 5 stars, and then toggle the filter off and on again, the search criteria randomizes to something wildly different than what I was just searching for, for example, adding text and metadata to the search queries when I only had star attributes selected a few seconds before.
I've experimented with turning the filter lock icon on and off and that seems to have no effect. Switching between folders in my catalog and toggling search off and on, results in the same random search criteria being generated.

My dad organized the hard drive in very vague categories (things like I:/photos/spring 2004/spring 2004 - 1. We are looking to change the folder structure to one that is easier to navigate (I:/photos/vacations/new york city 2003)We are trying to avoid loosing tags in the organizer.
I tried File -> Move with some of the photos. In one instance, it took the originals and moved them. In another it renamed the photos and copied them to their new destination.Should we go back and delete the originals once they are moved to their new location?
when importing in Lightroom 4, the auto tone adjustment function does not work properly. Most images come out strongly overexposed and there is no way to stop it
