I am creating a simple logo for the top banner of my site, now the banner is simple although i am having issues with putting an image inside a shape.
I have created a circle on its own layer and i want to grab all of the image inside of the circle itself and move that over to my main project. can anyone help out?
I have created the outline of a snake using the pen tool. The shape is closed. I want to add scales that do not overlap and are snug against the outline wall. Im sure I am missing something incredibly simple. I tried to create anchor points along the outline and use the pen tool to connection the anchor points but doing so would delete the anchor points. Each scale will be different colors and shape and they need to all be snug together.
View 5 Replies View Relatedso im drawing a 3d object in an isometric view. it is a 3d extruded object. essentially it is an extruded decagonal tube. i have, at the bottom, a line marking the center of the decagon so i can snap to it, draw a decagon for the base, and extrude it. problem is, i go to draw the decagon (or anything, for that matter), and i cant snap to the inside of the solid. autocad will only let me select the face of the object. is this a setting i can uncheck, or do i have to change the way i am drawing this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI run a podcast, and I'm trying to create a banner I can use on forums and use in ads. There's one problem though, I have two pictures, one of me, and one of my co-host, and I want to put them kind of at the corners of the banner.
Is there any way I can do this? When I edit the image, the background stays with it, so I can't just do something like put one on top like in Publisher or Word. It's White, or Black, whatever color I want it, but I need it to be transparent...or better yet, non-existent.
Basically i used to pen tool to draw a shape, i rasterised it and put an inner shadow on it using the layer styles, now how i could erase a corner of that shape without the inner shadow moving around the part i've just erased because i'm trying to blend it into the background
I hope you know what i mean, im sure if you opened photoshop, drew a shape, put inner shadow on it and then tried to erase a corner of it you'd see what i mean by the inner shadow moving into the part i just erased.

Normally I would be lazy and just use the paint bucket tool, but since this is for a higher profile client than I am used to, and it is a for print project (I normally do web projects) the quality is just not good enough. The lines I want to change are the yellow outlines of the yellow hand in the following logo:
Currently, the best approach I can think of is going back into AI and changing the outlines and strokes there, however that is going to be a lot of work because of the way in which different objects overlay each other means a lot of slicing, cutting, and moving things around. Is there an easier way to do this in PS?
Open Xara Designer 7 for Windows - demo version.
1) Create a solid block of colour at an integer coordinate (say 0,0).
2) Make it an integer width and height (say 128 x 128)
3) Export
4) Choose '.png' (or '.jpg' - the same effect will manifest)
5) Zoom into the preview and see the weird discoloured edges produced
Alternatively, do the same thing with 'Create Bitmap Copy' and observe the same results.
I'm aware that if you have non-integer sizes/positions it anti-aliases, but this isn't supposed to happen if you rectify these.
[Edit: I think I found out what it was: on my Pro version, I have the option to minimise anti-aliasing, which might well be the issue. Oddly, I can't reproduce the problem at all on my Pro version, but only on my brother's demo version!]
Jusy wanted to know how would I go about copying this image. I want everything the same besides the coloured shapes. I want to be able to edit the image. As when I try to trace over it with the pen tool I can never get it to look the same. What would be the easiest way? or would photoshop be better suited for copying the images without the blue and pink shapes?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhat I'm in the process of doing is creating shapes in Sketchup and exporting them as 2D images. Obviously, those images have a lot of "dead" space around them that I would like to reduce.
I'm able to select a rectangle selection tool and select my image, with the goal of pasting it into a new image which will have much less "white" space around it. My question, is there a more precise way of doing this? I need to cut out an even pixel space, for example, a 128 x 64 (both sides need to be even), how do I know what is the size I'm cutting out? And sometimes it's hard to do correctly do it with my mouse, is there a way to adjust the selection borders with the keyboard instead?
Using Lasso i have created a good shape that i require in my work. so now i want to save that shape i have drawn to custom shapes so that i can use it later also in my future works.

For example, I have drawn a shape with my Wacom tablet using a blush. I then converted it to a shape instead of keeping it a stroke by expanding it. But it will not allow me to now draw inside of it, even though it is a shape.

I have used the normal modifier to flip the normals and so have the skin on the inside. Something is going very wrong at this point because I have this ugly shadow line that I cannot get rid of and I also seem to not be able to light this interior, when I use an omni light it makes no difference. View 7 Replies View RelatedI drew something up on a sheet of paper, scanned it, then traced it's bitmap as line art. I then proceded to edit the vectors to recover all the detail I lost with the tracing. It took forever!
Now that I´m done, I realised there is a problem... how can I color in the drawing, if the lines themselves make up the shape? Essentially, I´m left with blank spaces in between all the lines instead of solid individual shapes that can be colored in.
What can I do? I´m so desperate I´m thinking of creating a gazillion individual shapes with the colors, and slapping them underneath the lines to "improv" a fill. But that will take waay too long, so is there an easier way?
If I could "invert" the shape I have now, so that the blank spaces become individual shapes, and the lines become blank spaces.
I have this strange situation.. i use the Arial font inside my cad drawings and when i print my paperspace layout, the text inside the viewport is a little bit more "bold" then the text i put directly on paper space.
Maybe it's a trick to know what text is placed where, but i want all this to be uniform, same thickness. Is there a system variable to correct that issue?

Up to COUPE C1 is the text inside the viewport, under COUPE C1is the paperspace text. Both are the same height... but difference tickness.

Basically, I have a word document that I want to watermark on each page. Then I want to convert this into a PDF (I use PrimoPDF for conversion)
However, getting the graphical watermark from word to PDF is still eluding me. For example, when I convert to PDF, the background images I place in are gone.
what's the best way to make 3D shapes like cubes, 3D elipses, and such. The bevel/emboss layer option always makes the shapes seem flat on the otherside.

I'm assuming this is part of a normal master collection cs6 installation?
if not, is it safe to remove the folder, as there is no uninstallation entry available for Photoshop cs5.
Using Photoshop CC, what the asterisk means inside the tab name? This is on the inside of the bracket, outside it would mean not saved. I'm using 16 bit files throughout and the ProPhoto RGB Workspace. Files are transferred in and out of Lightroom 5.2 as my front-end .
