Photoshop :: PDF Doesn't Look Same Inside Portfolio
May 6, 2013I have a Photoshop PDF file that looks good on screen and includes retouching I did to it. However, when I place it in a PDF portfolio, the edits aren't there anymore.

Photoshop :: Doesn't Place Pixel Inside Of Square
May 13, 2012Ok so I work a lot with doing pixel art and ever since I updated Photoshop I'm having the issue when zoomed in to look at pixels quite large and I'm using the pencil tool at size 1 for a square pixel and I go to draw it doesn't place the pixel inside of the square, it puts it up and to the left of my cursor which is very odd and very annoying to try and work with.

Mar 31, 2004if anyone could shed any light on issues that might crop up with the following situation:
A few years back, we had a Mac G4 and did all our (largely Photoshop) work on this, backed up on Mac format CDs. Then our new employer forced us to switch to PC (for compatibility with the other designers) and I spent ages going through each of our CDs, resaving them as PC format.
We had an application called Extensis Portfolio 6.0 which we used on the Mac to catalogue all of our images across the hundreds of CDs, but the PC people were using Canto Cumulus, so I dutifully created a new catalogue in Cumulus and spent ages entering the back catalogue.
My question, then, is can the Mac version of Cumulus read the PC created catalogue file, and will there be any incompatibilities (in naming format, etc.) in cataloguing both PC and Macintosh format image CDs?
Also, are there any more general issues that may crop up from a large scale conversion from PC to Mac? I think I can sort out email, but I'm worried that, say, Office XP files won't work in Office:Mac, or the Silverfast 6.0 software we use to scan with our Epson 1680 is inferior in the Mac version somehow.

Xara :: Portfolio Animation With Hover-overs?

I know how to create an animation where the visitor can click on the small image and a new frame appears with the large image on the right, but I cannot figure out how to have the small image change upon hover-over before the visitor clicks on it.
Lightroom :: How To Have LR Order Pics Rightly For Portfolio Review
Dec 1, 2011tomorrow I'll have a portfolio review directly on my laptop where's installed LR3. I'll have no internet connection. I saved in a collection set of 4 series of photos that I'll present one by one as separate works, and all of them all togeher are been exported in a new separate catalog.
The photos are named with a custom model which is: data_workname_sequencenumber.DNG
The problem is that I'd like to present the pics in every series in a particular sort order that is NOT related to the star, flag, rate, label, date, filename or whatever other criteria that LR is usually able to sort by. And, far more important, I need to keep the pics in the entire catalog separated by series, I don't want to mess with the series (e.g. pictures of Paris must stay together, and so on, ... at the moment they follow in a filename or date order which does NOT correspond to the wanted order).
I will play the sequence manually full screen (Ctrl+F command) as the portfolio will be as one to one discussion.

Jan 16, 2014I have been using Extensis Portfolio for years and have thousands of images with [flat] keywords. Is there a way to import all these images along with their assigned keywords into Lightroom 4 at one time? I do have the files exported along with an excel spreadsheet that includes a field for filename, one for image title, and one for all keywords (non-hierarchical), with one row per image.

Dec 3, 2010I really enjoy this new draw inside feature in Illustrator. But, I find that it does not always work. It seems to be grayed out sometimes. For example, I have drawn a shape with my Wacom tablet using a blush. I then converted it to a shape instead of keeping it a stroke by expanding it. But it will not allow me to now draw inside of it, even though it is a shape.

Oct 17, 2011I have a really large sphere and have put a camera on the inside to see the inside surface. I have used the normal modifier to flip the normals and so have the skin on the inside. Something is going very wrong at this point because I have this ugly shadow line that I cannot get rid of and I also seem to not be able to light this interior, when I use an omni light it makes no difference. Where am I going wrong?

Feb 8, 2013I have this strange situation.. i use the Arial font inside my cad drawings and when i print my paperspace layout, the text inside the viewport is a little bit more "bold" then the text i put directly on paper space.
Maybe it's a trick to know what text is placed where, but i want all this to be uniform, same thickness. Is there a system variable to correct that issue?

Up to COUPE C1 is the text inside the viewport, under COUPE C1is the paperspace text. Both are the same height... but difference tickness.

Basically, I have a word document that I want to watermark on each page. Then I want to convert this into a PDF (I use PrimoPDF for conversion)
However, getting the graphical watermark from word to PDF is still eluding me. For example, when I convert to PDF, the background images I place in are gone.

Oct 12, 2012should there be an adobe Photoshop cs5 folder when i've only installed cs6 master collection? clean installation, no previous installs. when i try to launch the Photoshop.exe in the cs5 folder, i receive an error. I'm assuming this is part of a normal master collection cs6 installation?
if not, is it safe to remove the folder, as there is no uninstallation entry available for Photoshop cs5.

Oct 3, 2013Using Photoshop CC, what the asterisk means inside the tab name? This is on the inside of the bracket, outside it would mean not saved. I'm using 16 bit files throughout and the ProPhoto RGB Workspace. Files are transferred in and out of Lightroom 5.2 as my front-end .

Jul 8, 2013I've always been stumped with how to do this so thought I'd post it here. I've typed up some text and then rasterized it. Then I created a blank layer above it, highlighted the text below, then made the blank layer active and painted a shiny gleam over on the layer. See below:
However, when I move the gleam layer, it doesn't just float over and within the letters below it. I obviously know why and that's because the gleam layer is above the text layer:
So basically what I want to be able to do is when move that gleam layer, I want the gleam to float over the logo but stay within the letters so it looks like the logo has a shine over it. If I knew how to do this, I could create animated GIFs and even export the files into Premiere or whatever.
Tell me the best way to do this in PSD CS4?
