For a web page, website, whatever you want to call it, this is what I'm trying to figure out. I want to be able to make a shape of anything, like a square, and inside that square add a picture of something. I want to be able to move that picture anywhere inside that square, without it coming outside, showing only a portion of the picture.
View 2 RepliesOk so I work a lot with doing pixel art and ever since I updated Photoshop I'm having the issue when zoomed in to look at pixels quite large and I'm using the pencil tool at size 1 for a square pixel and I go to draw it doesn't place the pixel inside of the square, it puts it up and to the left of my cursor which is very odd and very annoying to try and work with.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI created a square in which I have to draw vertical lines in it. I want the first line to start at 2.5 cm from the left segment of the square.
In a different way to say it just to be clear enough, I want to align the segment (inside the square) from the left vertical line of the square, put 2.5 cm to the right, and then there's my line.
When I try to align it using the align tool, I use the square as a key object. But it select ALL the square, so it puts my line 2.5 cm but to the far right of the square, outside my artwork. I'd want to select only the left line of the square.
I just need to put a picture inside another picture and I know nothing about photoshop...

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my website, especially when pictures are side by side, I try to make all the same, i.e. square. To me it looks better. I have a picture that is rectangle and obviously cannot resize to a square - distorts the picture. I know there is a way to copy the rectangle picture into a square picture frame which allows the picture to be square while not distorting the rectangle size.
But I don't know how to do this. I have watched a video on this but still not clear how to do it.
I'm trying to do the same thing with the outline of New York, by putting a picture of NYC inside the state outline, but I'm not really sure how to go about doing it.

I am taking the notebook with me on site and I am not sure if anything but illustrator can run on it. i.e I know I can do it in photoshop but am worried about the poor little bugger screaming blue murder!

I used the free select tool to free select an area of an image that is not a square (odd shape), how do I make that selection a perfect square if pasted to new image or new layer??? rectangular would be fine too...

When I use the square selection tool, the selection edges are rounded rather than square. I can't remember how to rset this.
How do you make the edges square by default?
I really enjoy this new draw inside feature in Illustrator. But, I find that it does not always work. It seems to be grayed out sometimes. For example, I have drawn a shape with my Wacom tablet using a blush. I then converted it to a shape instead of keeping it a stroke by expanding it. But it will not allow me to now draw inside of it, even though it is a shape.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm using CS3 with a new computer and a 17in crt monitor. I set the monitor resolution via windows to 1280x1024. Made a 4 in square in Photoshop. It's square. When I change the resolution to anything less than 1280x1024 the square is taller than wide. It still shows 4x4 inches with the rulers.

I have used the normal modifier to flip the normals and so have the skin on the inside. Something is going very wrong at this point because I have this ugly shadow line that I cannot get rid of and I also seem to not be able to light this interior, when I use an omni light it makes no difference. Where am I going wrong?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have this strange situation.. i use the Arial font inside my cad drawings and when i print my paperspace layout, the text inside the viewport is a little bit more "bold" then the text i put directly on paper space.
Maybe it's a trick to know what text is placed where, but i want all this to be uniform, same thickness. Is there a system variable to correct that issue?

Up to COUPE C1 is the text inside the viewport, under COUPE C1is the paperspace text. Both are the same height... but difference tickness.
I'm using PSE10 on a Win7 (64bit) OS. When I delete a picture (from catalogue and harddrive) the PSE-Organizer tends to jump down several pictures (Haven't been able to determine a fixed number), so I have to go up again and browse through the same pics a couple of times.

I'm trying to layer them all on top of each other.
When I copy one partially transparent GIF and paste it on to the second partially transparent GIF the transparent section turns white and is no longer transparent.
Therefore covering up the contents of the prior GIF.
In short, please have a look at the three attached pictures, I would like to have all three on top of each other showing all buttons.
I cant copy and past pic into another pic after deleting all around pic.

Each "pair of picture" shows the same person on the same background/perspective/settings (using a tripod) -- but with the person on a different position.Now I want to crop these pairs of pictures. Now I am recording my cropping of the first picture as an action and repeat the same step via this action on the second picture.
But it is possible eg to record my cropping via a shortcut and execute the cropping with another shortcut to the next picture (the "next actually opened" picture) just to do this faster?
