Jusy wanted to know how would I go about copying this image. I want everything the same besides the coloured shapes. I want to be able to edit the image. As when I try to trace over it with the pen tool I can never get it to look the same. What would be the easiest way? or would photoshop be better suited for copying the images without the blue and pink shapes?

Every time I try to copy a vector shape or an image from illustrator and paste it to fireworks, I get this error: "Alert can't open the illustration". I am running OS 10.8.4 and I've tried installing it on a newly purchsed MacBookPro and on an iMac but I still get the same error.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have my own party decoration business. I had to stop my printing services because out of the blue one day, my printer just messed up everything. I no longer have it as it broke down, but now I have the same problem with no matter what printer I use to print the same file. It's suppose to print purple, and it prints the purple parts pink. It turns the aqua blue into more of a royal blue. I am using Photoshop 7.0. It also did the same thing to me in CS2.
I have tried 4 different computers, 3 different printers, and 3 different operating systems.
I'm trying to change the colour of a pink dress to red, blue, green etc. I need to keep the detail on the dress.
I also need to use exact colour codes - instead of just red, green etc from the colour chart. can this be done?
Is it possible to repaint, let's say, a blue front fender of a motocross bike and turn it into pink?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was designing a business card as usual and copying some vector images from Illustrator, but when I tried to enter some text it came up blank...the color shows a question mark (?) even after I attempt to change the color.
I've seen the question mark before but all I needed to do in the past was select that little button and change it.
I attempted to copy with base point some blocks from one drawing to another and got a blue screen saying physical memory dump, and then my computer restarted. I tried the same thing using the insert as a block, but had the same problem. I am using autocad 2012
I'm running Windows 7, it says with 8gig ram, and video card is a Intel(r)hd graphics family. The computer is less than 2 weeks old.
When I copy, I only get an outline of what im copying in blue lines.
I must have played in the settings somewhere.. how to put them back?
I would like to use a vector object made in AI as a custom shape to be used as a cookie cutter in elements.. I imported the AI file in photoshop but the "define custom shape" entry under "edit" was grayed out.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a business card that uses various shades of gray. When I print from Adobe Illustrator or make a PDF and print that with high quality setting, the grays print as pink. Light grays print as pastel pink; darker grays as pink+gray tints. Odd.
If I print using standard settings (Mac, Print, click Setup, choose Quality and Media in standard Mac print dialog, choose print for plain paper, quality=standard) the colors look normal but the quality is so-so -- the lighter grays print with a diffusion dither and there is an occasion light blue stripe in the gray.
If I print using quality=high, I get the pink. Light pink where I am using 40% gray, darker pink for 50% gray, a gray+pink mix for 80% gray.
Printing other docs using other apps have no issue. Just this document using Adobe Illustrator. And if I save as PDF and print using Mac Preview app, same problem.
See attached. Everything pink should be gray except the bright magenta diamond in the M.

I moved an object I was creating to the artboard. In doing so, it reveals pink & red vertical lines around all the elements within the object. Each line section has a mini pink or red box with a number at the top corner and what looks like a histogram?What is this information and how do I remove it?

I been through tons of pantones, art books, etc... All the pinks look like pastel or extremely dull, not bright at all, like that hot pink, neon pink type of color.
1. is there a certain pantone/color/etc that will give me that hot pink color that will look hot pink on a website? if so what is it?
2. if there is no color for this, is there some way to simulate it?
I'm a PS newbie, and I've been trying to copy a selection from one image and paste it in another. This normally works perfectly, but I've been having real problems with one image. Whenever I copy something onto it (with most pics, at least; haven't tried them all) the copied selection loses all colour and texture and becomes an apparently random selection of white and black pixels.
Is there a setting somewhere that I should change? Are the images just incompatible? Please help.

Edit: In case you couldn't tell, I'm trying to copy the stick on the right onto the witch.
I have just started working with GIMP, after years of using Photoshop, which I can't afford anymore. Most of the tools don't look that different from what I was used to in PS, but I ran into a problem right away: I don't seem to be able to cut an image and then paste the cut image as a new layer on top of another image. I creates a new layer alright, but I don't see the image I want to copy.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi store all my raw images on a hard drive before importing into lr4. Do I have to let lr copy all the images as part of the import process? I don't see any way to not copy images when importing.
This really slows the import process when using 100's of raw nikon images. can I delete the copies that lr makes I guess that the catalog files are independent of the copy files since I use the location of my original raw files.
I currently have two external hard drives where I have all my bird photos classified into folders by the name of the bird. There are more or less a hundred. I have one external hard drive where I import all the photos to and the other external where I backup the first external hard drive every night. They are getting full and I will soon have to purchase two more, but I was wondering how I could export all the folder hierarchy into the new external hard drive. It surely will be a chore to have to create each one again.

In the Smart Collections, there is an entry for "Last 30 Days".Those images are scattered all over my hard drives now.I'd like to back up the "recent images" to a specific external hard drive, at least until I get them copied onto the off premise external hard drives.
I need a command in LR3 that lets me make a COPY of the recent raw files onto the drive, vs move the images to folders.
I have a problem with the display of images that come out too blue. The thumbnail looks correct but the large preview image has too much blue. I have processed the same raw images in other software with no issues but this seems to be an issue with Paint Shop Pro. Is there a setting that needs to be changed?
Once I open the image the image in the raw converter it shows the color balance "As Shot" as a different value that what the Adobe software reads. Not sure why. You can try and adjust the blueness out of the image but why do I need to do this all the time when I don't have to in other programs.
If I open any image in the full editor the thumbnail takes on this too blue look as well, even if no color adjustments were made.
I have attached 2 screen shots that show the problem.
I was using Photoshop CS5 (64-bit) fine yesterday but today each image I open shows a loss of colour, everything looks like a blue tinted grayscale.The same with RAW files opened in ACR and all files opened in Bridge.When I open a JPEG version in Microsoft Image Viewer the colour is fine.In Windows, the thumbnails look fine with full colour in the folders.The loss of colour only happens when the image files are opened in Photoshop, Bridge and ACR.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAll of my images are now importing into Lightroom3 and Photoshop CS5 with a blue cast. I have reformatted the SD card, tried with other SD cards, re-calibrated my monitor with X-Rite colorometer, changed monitors, tried with another camera, changed card readers. The images appear as shot in Bridge, but when opened they come in with the blue cast. The same images import properly on my laptop. I'm shooting sRGB in camera and have tried a number of different shots, so artificail lighting is not the issue. All images that are already on my hard drive import properly. I was working in LR when this occurred, so, I think I must have inadvertently mades some alteration to the settings while working in LR. However, opening PS separately and bringing an image in independent of Lightroom has the same result. Images appear as shot in Adobe Bridge, then open with the blue cast.

I created a new rendering in which all materials came out great and I saved it. Minutes later I opened the new rendering and it too became blue. I worked on this project for months and have not made any changes to materials. All previously saved images in my file, the wall materials, stairs, and certain furniture have all turned blue.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using Lightroom 4.3 on Windows 7 pc. I have a collection with approximately 650 images. I was working in the collection and had all the images selected. Somehow I inadvertently must have hit a keyboard shortcut that effected all the images. All of the images are negatively effected and they now look terrible. When I go to the History Panel, all the images have "blue filter" as their most recent entry. If I select one image and go back to the step before the "blue filter" everything looks fine again. My problem is I have this effect in 650 images. When I try and do the change in one image and then synch to the rest, I don't know what box to check to remove this "blue filter" that has been added to all the images. I know I can do them one by one, but with 650 images, it's a long and tedious process. Any way I can remove the "blue filter" from multiple images in a collection?

I have created a circle on its own layer and i want to grab all of the image inside of the circle itself and move that over to my main project. can anyone help out?
Basically i used to pen tool to draw a shape, i rasterised it and put an inner shadow on it using the layer styles, now how i could erase a corner of that shape without the inner shadow moving around the part i've just erased because i'm trying to blend it into the background
I hope you know what i mean, im sure if you opened photoshop, drew a shape, put inner shadow on it and then tried to erase a corner of it you'd see what i mean by the inner shadow moving into the part i just erased.
