Ive got this vector image of a fist, its going to be used for a website logo. Ive saved the image as a GIF and tried about all the combinations of dither, no dither and all the other options on the "save for web" page but im still getting these speckly white bits on the finished image.
View 4 RepliesDo not see that the Save In Background is working. I have 300MB Tiff files that are being saved to the local harddisk in Windows 7 with CS6. It takes about 10 seconds to save the file both with and without Save in the Background being selected.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm creating a 3D text logo using CS4 Illustrator and Photoshop. I created the logo in Illustrator, and copied it into Photoshop to apply color using hue and fill settings. I used the wand tool to select the top of the letters, then changed the hue on the sides, then filled the tops with a different color. I created a new layer for the selected tops. I want a transparent background, and I want to save the file as a Gif. However, when I flatten the image, I get a white background. Somehow, a white background sneaked in. Also, when I go to save the file, there is no option for a .gif. I saved it as a jpeg. But then Dreamweaver would not display it. It only showed a samll icon representing the graphic, but wouldn't display it.
1. How can I avoid having my transparent background become white?
2. Why am I not getting the option to save as a .gif?
3. why Dreamweaver wouldn't open the jpeg? Could it be size? File too wide. In the past Dreamweave automatically resizes to accomodate wide files.
I am very new to the photoshop world and am trying to remove an image from its background ( as a stand-alone) and save it. Is there a way to do this in Photoshop CS6? I have looked at tutorials but only found how to remove the image but not how to save the image as a stand alone with no background.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble saving my gif as a truly clear background image... i continue to get a white background around the image... like a line stroke. This is most obvious when I save for the web using image ready, but not as bad when perform a I save as gif function (thought it still happens). And of course, you don't see the line till you insert the image in a colored background.
The problem is my file doesn't downsize as sharp when I manually change the file size or transform it.
Same thing happens when I use Illistrator. I'm wondering if it is an outdated filter or something?
Maybe I need to change my settings?
tell me step by step instructions on how to cut an image and leave the background behind, and save just the image with no background??

Is there a way to do this? I have around 300 images that need the exact same background.
I work in full screen with Menu Bars 98% of the time. I also enjoy the new save in background feature. The problem is that when in full screen I can't tell when it's saving and the status of the save. This is particularly frustrating when I'm trying to close a file. I think there needs to be an option to have it save in background but pop up a status window, or some way to see the status of the save while in full screen.

If there’s a way to cancel a lengthy background save or to view its progress, I haven’t found it yet. There needs to be a way to do this.
I have a very simple PSD, so i'll try to explain this super simply..
one transparent layer, with just a pair or eyebrows, with the only added blend effect as 'multiply'
one background with a face, no eyebrows.
the layer blends the eyebrows in to the background face perfectly.
i want to save the layer as a separate file keeping the tranparency and including the result of the multiply effect, without the background.
the reason why i want to do this may confuse things, but basically i want several different eyebrow colours to be interchangeable over this face in an application that doesn't recognise the blending link with the background, so i want to save it in PS !

Now in Corel Photo Paint X5 this doesn't work any more. What have changed and what am I doing wrong. According to documentation it seems to be correct.
Is X6 64 bit supposed to save in the background? It seems to do it sometimes but I'm usually seeing the hourglass especially after exporting in X5 format. I have 24GB of ram so that shouldn't be an issue.
