I have like 10 equal dimensions layers, which i need to line up, but they do not "stick" to the guide as they used to in CS1. does someone know how to enable that feature in CS2?
or better techniques to line up layers? (i also need to set the space between them to be the same)
Is there any way to set characters to "tabular lining" in open type or other way in Photoshop? I commonly control my numeral characters in Illustrator with the Open Type palette, setting numerals to "tabular lining" so they will align vertically with each other, versus the default oldstyle numerals that come with many fonts.

As you see, this is available in Illustrator, as shown :
But I'm not seeing this in Photoshop. I'm working with the typeface Adobe Calson Pro, in small caps... but the numbers look awkward.

I was taking them while standing in the exact same spot across the street, and trying to line them up the same, but of course they are not perfect. Is there a program/script that will take pictures and line them up together like by user selecting 4 common points and then it will resize/skew each picture to line up those 4 points, and hence the picture?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI understand that revit is the future and that it is very impressive at doing very complex & mundane tasks, however it does seem to struggle to do the simplest of commands.We wish to be able to put tags (in this case room tags) either in the middle of the room or align them all to each other (i.e if there is a corridor with rectangular rooms on each side of the corridor all tags on the left hand side would be in a single line in the middle of each room, as they would be on the other side).When you place the room it gives you some cross hairs but you cannot locate these in the centre of the room.I have looked for draft line/reference lines/ghost lines and anything that you can put in temporary to use as a guide.

I am not sure if this may be an issue with the actual blueprints themselves, or something I may be doing incorrectly. Below illustrates the problem, the green and red lines show areas where the front and side blueprints do not line up at all. View 4 Replies View RelatedWe've just replaced two users windows xp x64 pro machines with Windows 7 x64 pro and as a result have had to purchase AutoCAD LT 2013 for both (one was using LT2002, the other LT2006).
Now however the drawings that they open have tables with text in that aligned perfectly when viewed in 2002 / 2006 but 2013 shows some of the characters outside of the table?
We thought it could be because of custom fonts we use but I have copied them across to Control Panel > Fonts on both machines and Installed AutoCAD LT 2013 Service Pack 1, again to both machines but to no avail .
I need to dimension a line in the Z plane in the northeast view. The dimension is currently perpindicular to the dimension line. How to make it parallel with the dimension line.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm creating an animation of a magic 8 ball rolling towards the screen, getting larger as it comes forward. Now that the animation is complete, I would like to put it on an ease path to make the motnion look more realistic. Unfortunatley, when an easein is set for the 8 ball, it will skew the shapes, and everythign sort of flies off in all directions and then lands back where it should be at the end.
How it looks with an easein during the animation, and how I would like it to look during the animation.
I am working on some car parks and am using corridors. There are some area's that consist of seperate regions to tie up corner areas and junctions etc.
I am using link codes to create hatch and would like to use non-solid hatch. But the hatch does not appear to line up properly between regions, as shown on the attached image.

What I want to do is, take away the wolf body and background. Then I want to make his face sorta fade with a gold lining of his face. SO it wouldn't be exact detail, but you know it's the face of a wolf, with cool gold out lines and lines on the inside and stuff. With like faded areas for cool effect.
View 5 Replies View RelatedDuring 2014 I would like to create 'photo a day' video of myself, similar to this [URL] ........ I have no plans to inflict my work on the world via YouTube and the like, it is purely for my own amusement.
My question is a compositional/editing one. I understand how to take the stills and create a video from them using Windows Movie Maker, not the best software but sufficient for my purposes.
In the link above the young ladies eyes and nose stay at a (mostly) fixed point in the frame, I find this makes for a better video when all the stills are run together. The problem I have, is, when I take stills of myself my nose and eyes are at different positions frame to frame which makes for a rather jumpy end result.
Any tips on how to remedy this, is it done when taking the shot, or in editing afterwards? The shots are taken on a small point and shoot digital camera, as the shots will be taken at various locations etc I wont be able to have a static setup with a tripod and mark on the floor to ensure the same position each time. The method I have tried it just holding the camera out in front of me at arms length and trying to get the same height each time.
Is there a way to easily and quickly edit shots in Paint.NET so that the eyes and nose are at the same position in each frame for a series of photos, I'm not too bothered about all the frames being the same size or the edges lining up etc.
How can I get multiple images on 1 page to line up when printing on both sides? Dimensions are 3.5x2.5, 9 to a page. They are sportscards for son's baseball team. They are slightly off by 2-3 cm on all 4 sides and in betweeen. Extremely frustrating. I tried printing in Photoshops but text is blurry. In Lightroom, Images look absolutely perfect. If they would only line up. Using a Canon MG 6200 if that matters.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm using CS6 and noticed that whenever I delete a layer that was a dupe of another layer with links (although not linked specifically to the deleted layer), the undeleted original layers become invisible on the canvas even though they are still visible in the layers pallette. I've been able to recreate this several times. Nothing I do will make the layers visible -I've tried moving them all to the top of the layers palette, making sure their opacity is 100%, making sure there are no layer effects, etc.

Is there anyway to option drag to copy a layer in the layers palette without the new layer being linked?

I work in Animation painting Backgrounds. My files are sometimes upwards to 200+ layers.I will use adjustment layers to quickly balance colours and constrast on top of those many many layers.
The only way that I know of how to apply adjustment layers it to every single layer ( by applying I mean I need to get rid of the adjustment layers because we cant use them in production but i need the new colours be applied to all layers underneath ) in a psd is to manually do it By duplicating the adjusment layer 200+ times and then merging each layer to one of those adjustment layers so that that layer can take the adjustment layers effect permanently.
The issue is that Within Those 200 layers I have some layers set to Multiply or OVERLAY. IT obviously wont apply the adjustment layer properly to those layers because those layer blend mode affect the layers under them. The colour wont be the same anymore in the spots that had the multiply blended mode.

I have 2 adjustment layers up top. I need to get rid of them by applying them to each layer! I cannot merge any of the layers. We need all those layers for production.I can apply the adjustment layers manually and this works GREAT for all Layers set to normal. THey take on the colour change just FINE.
However, The issue is that layer 6 and layer 4 are both set to mutiply and this screws up the colour once i apply the adjustment layers to each layer manually...
How can i apply my adjustment layers to a file like this with some layers being set to multiply while keeping the layers exactly the same configuration and The new colour taking effect exactly how i looks before i apply the adjustment layers? Now the simple solution is to merge the multiply layers to the layer that it affects HOWEVER I NEED those multiply layers to be separate!
I want to add the same 3 adjustment layers to about 20 photos and then in scripts, export layers to files, so that each photo includes the adjustments.

I would like to increase the font size in many text layers at a time by selecting them in the layers panel. The font increases, but the text boxes don't expand to fit the increased size text. So I am having to make each box bigger manually. Is there a way to have the boxes expand to fit bigger text automatically through the layers panel?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have now exactly the same problem as below with over 1000 images, I have saved them in .psd that has over 100 layers each. On top of those there is curves and levels layer that affects every layer below. I want to save all images to .jpg for videoedit with those curves at least. I don't want to merge same curves 100 times. Is there a solution in phothoshop cs5 or cs6 available? Would save alot of working hours. All I have got by this far is blank white images of adjustment layers and non adjusted jpg-files.

And say I created 3 adjustment layers on top of those 100 layers to get the adjustments that i want for those layers. I'm happy with the adjustments but Then I NEED to merge those 3 adjustment layers to ALL those 100 layers.
Is there a way to easily permanently apply the adjustments to each of those layers without having to do it manually? I absolutely need to merge the adjustments to the seperate layers because of how the layers are being used in a seperate 3d program.
So far what I've been doing is duplicating the adjustment layers for each layer and merging them to said layers separately.. I wish I could just right click the adjustment layer and Tell it to merge to everylayer it affects or apply to every layer underneath it!
I am loosing all my layers effects when I merge all the layers together to save the image in the tif format!

I am using photoshop CS2. on a mac OS X.
When i make changes to other layers in the layers pallete, it changes my 'background' as well. I know that i can duplicate it but regardless, the 'background' changes according to what i do to the other layers even tho it is locked.
I want to create a PDF from Photoshop while keeping on a master layer/group for all pages AND turning on/off individual layers/smart object in another group? I know there may be a way to do this with Layer Comps but I would rather just use layers.

Also if you have a image with layers, if you press CTRL right click on it, it will give you your layer names. Click on the layer name and hey presto it will pop up ready to work.

TEXT
SHADOW
BG
the blending options are normal for TEXT and BG, but I have soft light for SHADOW. Now the BG layer actually contains an illustration which makes my shadow look realistic, however what Im trying to do is, save the picture with a transparent background with only TEXT and SHADOW showing, but as soon as I hide BG, the SHADOW layer will go back to the black color I drew and not look like a shadow. I tried merging text and shadow but either the TEXT gets soft light and gets ruined or SHADOW becomes normal and gets ruined. Its very late, ive been trying to figure it out for the past 4 hours so I hope I explained it clearly.
