Illustrator :: AI CS4 Insufficient Memory?
Jul 6, 2009My project in AI CS4 (WinXP) is not able to place (import) a 600dpi image (size is 35mb). The error message says "Insufficient Memory was Available to Complete the Operation". The same image at 300 dpi worked where the 600 did not work. There is 3gb of RAM on my machine. I am wondering if there is a problem with AI here, and if there is a way to allocate more memory to the program. I don't mind using the 300-resolution image, but would like to learn something about Illustrator from this issue. Is there a way to fix the problem or to adjust the memory usage in Illustrator CS4?

Revit :: Error / Insufficient Memory For Load
Oct 19, 2011I am having a problem opening some larger revit models (100MB plus) in revit 2012 I will receive a message saying:
Insufficient memory for load. This computer does not have enough memory to open 'file name' in autodesk revit architecture 2012. Increase the available memory or contact Autodesk support for more information.
We are working on Windows XP SP3 with 3.23gb RAM. Now normally it would be as simple as upgrading the RAM on this machine to 4GB as specified in the system requirements for 2012, but a previous computer I was testing with only 2GB RAM was able to open these files without any issues (despite being a little slower).
The only difference I can see at this stage is the 3GB switch is enables in the 2gb machine.

Oct 7, 2013I got “Insufficient Memory” error messages in working on the job needed large files ( > 100MB) with AI 5.5 in office with below #1 PC spec. Error message starts to happen after working 15min to 1 hour depends on the file. I need to restart computer in each “Insufficient Memory” error message pop-up (otherwise the messages will continue to pop-up). Sometimes the file can’t be saved after the error message occurred.
I have never encountered this memory issue at my home with below #2 Mac spec.#1 PC spec looks better than #2 Mac spec. Why PC can’t perform like Mac does? Illustrator :: Error Message - Insufficient Memory Was Available
Mar 17, 2011I use Illustrator CS 5 and am working with a large image. Problem is, when I sometimes try to save my Illustrator file as a joeg I get the dreaded "Insufficient memory was available to complete the operation" error message. It doesn't happen every time BUT when it does its a pain because I have to close all my programs and restart my computer.

May 6, 2011I am using corel x3 a long time but never, never had this kind of problem. When i work in corel enviorenment after i have finished my work i go to save my work. But then is the problem It Saves the file with Large Memory on it. let's say if the file normally would be 200 K, now it saves with 3 MB. And if i import some other files in my work then the saved file will be even bigger. If i Delete the files that were imported The Saved File will be Again the same SIZE ! Even if a take one part of the file, let's say if i import only one small text and put it in another file and save it like that, the saved file will be 2 MB. I had a lots of problems, i had saved files on this way with 23-24 MB and when i open them it takes like forever. When you look that file in corel it has nohing in it, absolutely nothing that should be 24 MB. But all of my important work is in that files how to make all things back to normal again,

Nov 4, 2011I do have problem with my newly installed CorelDraw X5. Before X5 we used Corel 12 in our company.
I have project file (150 MB) with lots of text, bitmaps, vectors - about 100 pages. File opens but I can't save it. I always get OUT OF MEMORY error. I even tried to divide this file into 2 smaller parts but still doesn't work.
What I noticed - Corel X5 after clean start (without opened project) takes about 80MB of RAM in task manager. When I open project usage changes from 80MB to 1,2GB. While saving it takes 1,6GB of RAM and it crashes.
To compare - Corel 12 and after opening same project file Corel 12 takes much less of memory - about 770MB and it works without problem.
Where from comes this memory usage difference?
My PC:
Windows 7 - 32bit
4GB of RAM
Intel Core2Duo 2 x 3.0GHz

VideoStudio :: 340GB - Insufficient Space For 82 Minute Project
Aug 12, 2011Using VS 9 to create an 82 minute project I'm trying to export it as an AVI file. At the end of the rendering process I get the message "insufficient space". I've tried twice, once on C drive which shows 340GB unused and also on an external drive that shows 196GB unused.
I've noticed that on the timeline the clips total 1hr 22min but there is then a long empty portion that goes to 3hr 10min.

Mar 1, 2013I am having an issue when trying to use the Free Transform function in Photoshop CS5.1. After pressing command+T, the bounding box appears, but when I attempt to resize, the program becomes unresponsive. After a minute or two I can cancel the Free Transform and the program become responsive once again. Seems to be more of an issue when trying to transform more than one layer at once.
I am on a 1 year old MacBook Pro with 16GB, I have 10 GB of free space. I am on OS X 10.7.5 (recently installed this upgrade and this may be part of the issue.)
I am in 64-bit mode. My memory usage set at 70%. The cache tile size is set to 1024K . I have reset my settings, ran all available updates.
My card specs are:
Video Card Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc.
Video Card Renderer: ATI Radeon HD 6750M OpenGL Engine
After visiting the AMD site, found that they do not have an update for 10.7.5 and do not have the HD6750 listed for Mac.
Edit: Also, cannot move the image once I press command+T. (Or at least it make the program unresponsive for a while)
Update: Uninstalled entire design suite and re-installed. Still having the same issue.
Photoshop :: Brushes For Free?
Dec 12, 2008Just wondering if anybody knew any good sites to get high-quality PS brushes without having to pay a pretty penny.
I've had luck finding some nice ones made by deviantart users (especially a grunge-brush pack called "Fracture"), but almost every other "free" package has just been sample watered-down version of the actual brushes (which they make you buy).
I would pay for them if I intended to use them in any art I was going to sell, but since it's just for fun and making siggys and what not... freebies are the way to go.
So, anybody have any resource sites?

Apr 24, 2006I try to free transform an image whether it be rotating, enlarging, scewing or whatever, after I deselect, photoshop or imageready will automatically try and blur the image around so it seems smoother.
This is fine most of the time, but it produces some transparent pixels, and gifs have problems with these. Is there a way to stop PS and IR from doing this on a free transform so it just leaves the image as it is before deselecting?

you apply a 2d cage to your selection and then move the cage's control points to deform your selection. much like a FFD modifier in 3ds max, the only difference being that it is applied to a 2d image instead of a 3d mesh.

Jul 4, 2009I have a PShop CS3 file in which one of the folders does not allow the "Free Transform"tool to work. I can move w/the move tool, but Edit/Free Transform is grayed out when that folder is selected. Edit/Free Transform will work for all the subfolders inside of it.Other folders in the same file work fine.
