View 5 Replies View RelatedI get great results with CS4, and Epson R2880 and calibrated monitor and paper profiles: prints just like the monitor only a little darker but I can handle that. "Upgrading" to CS6 with everything else unchanged and the prints have a muddy green cast. Currantly the "solution" is to manipulate in CS6 and print from CS4.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI printed a black and white scanned (gray scale) image on Saturday, no problems.
On Sunday I noticed a small hairline from the negative, cloned it out and reprinted. The image had acquired a distinct purple cast. All attempts ticking a variety of appropriate (and possibly inappropriate) boxes in PS and the printer options failed to remove the cast. Rescanning and the cast is still there. Printing on another printer (HP) and the cast is there, so I presume it's source is Photoshop (CS).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have used gimp for years, and never tried to remove a blue cast from an image. I have several images I have shot over the years, of winter scenes, now I want to see them in "normal" colors. I tried a couple of plugins and gimp operations, but I have no real good results.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe colors on the computer monitor do not match the colors of my printed photos. The pictures have a yellow color cast. I am printing using HP Photosmart 7520.
View 1 Replies View RelatedRight now I am working on a Win 7 64 computer and have a Canon MP810 printer. I read the materials on color management and set my color management in "Print" in Lightroom 4 to "managed by printer". My printer color management in advanced settings is set all to defaults. When I print a photo from Lightroom 4, there is a distinct magenta cast to the entire photo, but it's most observable in midtone neutrals. A burnt out section of a lightbulb goes white, for instance, but greys seem to go pinkish, greens to a rust, etc. I also printed the same photo from a windows file, using Windows 7 print mode. That photo seemed to go slightly magenta in the neutrals but not nearly to the same degree. what I might try or test to see if I can get my print colors more accurate?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am learning to neutralize color casts in PS6, and one way I found was through this website: [URL] ..... which proports to teach Photoshop.
In using their examples, in step 1 new adj layer, pick photo filter, fine.
Step 2 it says to click on color, which opens up the color picker dialogue box, and move cursor, which turns into eyedropper over the color you want to change and click on it. It is supposed to sample the color and change the color in the color picker dialogue box.
When I click on the color, what comes up in the color picker window is WHITE (for new color), split with the original color of the filter. I cannot get it to come up the color I am picking. I cannot get it to come up without the split color in the box. Even if I change it to only use Gamut color, I still get a split box with white as my picked color.
When I use'command-click' on the color I want to sample, it changes the color in the image, instead of just sampling it for the (new) color in the color picker, so I it changes the original color in the image and I cannot use the information.
When I don't use a New Adj layer and just do it on the image, itself, it works.
After scanning a photo, I got a picture with a greenish tint.can I remove the greenish tint? and How?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI used to work on a project for a stamp album and i think we had needed
photos one day a man came in with images i think he'd taken, he had the
images removed from the background pretty much seemlessly i or someone else asked him how he did it and he told me he had used some sort of software which removes a specific colour from an image so, he would pick the colour from the photo and go ovet the photo with the eraser tool and it would remove it.
I don't think the software was fluid mask, fluid mask it seems works mostly on masking, the program if it now exists i may be wrong solely, dealt with picking a colour and erasing it.
what is this program that picks a colour or colours and erases only those specific colours.

I wish to delete, or at least to move to a holding folder, all the unwanted colour profiles listed in that drop down list. I have seen reference to the location in Windows 7 of colur profiles as being in the following folder
WindowsSystem32SpoolDriversColor
However, I cannot find a Spool folder on my system, so can get nowhere. how to remove unused colour profiles used by Photoshop.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was watching a video on youtube when a came upon a brush set called lens flares, since I already had the Custom Brushes Mini plug-in, I was amazed by the lens flares. So then I went to Brusheezy(Dot)com and searched lens flares, there was a brush pack that was the lens flares I was looking for, so I did the process so I could use them, but then when I went to use the magic wand tool, and delete the black colour for it to be transperent, not all the black was gone, I tried changing the tolerance to remove more black, but it wouldn't budge.

I need to remove the '.com.au' from this jpeg version of a logo I have to use it for a magazine print file I am working on in indesign. I have opened the file in Illustrator (it is a very large file because it was designed for outdoor sinage.) and I thought I had better ask about the best way to do it without it affecting image or print quality.
