I need to remove the '.com.au' from this jpeg version of a logo I have to use it for a magazine print file I am working on in indesign. I have opened the file in Illustrator (it is a very large file because it was designed for outdoor sinage.) and I thought I had better ask about the best way to do it without it affecting image or print quality.

I'm using illustrator cs6. i did a smoke text in photoshop and saved it as png-24 file.I wanted to vectorize the smoke text in illustrator.
So i placed the png files and image trace it with high fidelity photo as my preset.
I tried out all the preset,mode and so on,but it changed my smoke effects.That's why i chose high fidelity photo,bt i can't check the ignore white box, i can't remove the background.I tried low colour.but the smoke part become white colour ,obviously when i change the background colour.
Second method that i used was image trace(high fidelity photo)>expand>ungroup>delete the white part..but it doesnt work...
I am trying to incorporate some business logos into a brochure I am creating. The problem is, most of these logos have a white background. How can I remove this and make a transparent background?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI managed to create the Illustrator image I want & now need to take this image & use it in another application. However, regardless of which way I attempt to export - jpg, tif or png, I'm still getting the (white artboard) background, which I do not want. I attempted to create another box & blend the background to the background of the other application that I am using, but it's still apparent.
Also, with some conversion, my image became distorted or changed the image colors a little bit.
What's the process to remove unwanted backgrounds from Illustrator images? Here's some samples.
I'm working in an Illustrator file that needs to use artwork that is in PDF form. I've been either placing the PDFs into the Illustrator file or opening the PDFs as Illustrator files. Either way, I'm getting a message that says "The document contains PDF objects that have been reinterpreted: To preserve appearance, some text has been outlined."
As you'll see in the attached, what ends up happening are these strange looking white lines that occur around the artwork (you'll notice them most around the CD in the center.) Is there anyway around bringing the PDFs in without having them reinterpreted? I do not want to make them jpegs and then bring them in.
Illustrator CS5.5 on Mac: When I copy text from one Illustrator document and paste it in a different document, the text canges to Myriad (the deafult font). Is there a setting somewhere to preserve the formatting? Even pasting into an existing text style still changes the font.
View 39 Replies View RelatedI've got a little graphic that I'm working on at the moment. I am trying to trace it using the Image Trace feature in illustrator.
Everything's hunky dory apart from the fact that the original graphic has a lot of white features on it that I want to preserve. These white bits are not bordered so, in the main page of illustrator, they merge with the white background. When I go to use Image Trace, I can either select "Ignore white" which leaves out all of this white detailing, or I can deselect it which means that the trace then includes the white background and the whole image is set into an annoying box.
how I can remedy this? I know in Photoshop, there's that checked background that shows when your work surface is empty. Is there a way of getting this same thing in Illustrator?
I need to remove the green and blue colours of this image, replacing them for white, as the background colour, however I need to preserv the shapes and shadows.

I would like to add a colour to the background without distorting the text.
I am trying to do a www logo with transparent text - colour of the text should change accordingly to web site background (image or solid colour).
I do not want to use Magic Wand as it degrade quality of the text.
I've tried to use 2 layers with blend mode set to multiply but it does not work for me if background was transparent (saved as PNG file)
One two of my text boxes there is background colour appearing. I did not put it in there and it just suddenly appeared.
On the top left of the properties panel, where the name of the itme appears, there is a button to select between Div and cod and h1 and p etc. And when I experiment and change between the different options sometines this is removing background of one of them and then when I select the other one and change the option, it is removing the background, but then the original one goes back to having a background. See image below.
I only mention the paragrph above becuase it seems to make a difference.
What I think I am looking to do is get into the code and delete the CSS which is giving the text a background. There does not seem to be an option in the properties to add or remove a text background.
How can i fill the back ground with a white colour - I would like my main image with a white background but i am not too sure how to achieve this?

how this happened - what I unknowingly hit - but neither can I work out how to return to grey.
I used the Flaming text effect, and I was wondering if there was a way to have just the text (with flames) and no background. I am trying to use this text to put on a video clip with effects, and would like to have the text on clip, but if I use the background You will not be able to see video effect I want behind the text. View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create a form with a watermark image in Publisher 2013 and the text I want to overlay on the watermark is cut from an image I screenshot, so it has a white background, making overlaying a watermark impossible. There are boxes and bubbles and other items that I really do not want to re-create so that's why I am trying to do this first, before re-creating the entire forms from scratch.
Anyway, what I want to do is A. remove all of the white from the background (even in the spaces between the e's an B's and everything; yes I know it is insane, but I like things to be perfect) and B. I would like to darken the text. Currently is is almost gray-ish and I want it to be black.

I opened one of the existing buttons in PS, it has a slight gradient background and the text is typed right on the background so I can't find a way to edit it (it's not on a separate layer), and so if I just erase the text it messes up the background.

I have a picture of a girl in a dress. The background is white(ish) and some of the girl's dress is white as well as her blouse.
If I select the magic eraser tool the background is viped out, but parts of the skirt and shirt get wiped out as well... I've read somewhere how to solve this problem, selecting only certain "ranges" of a colour, so that not all the different whites' get erased...
Have also created some text and have added a drop shadow.. is there any way to get the drop shadow to be another colour than grey (i.e. green, pink, blue)..?

Prior to shooting the portrait, we took a picture of the background and then, without moving the camera, took the portrait so that we were left with two images, one with and one without the subject.
Noise canceling headphones cancel sound by emitting a sound wave that is the exact opposite of the sounds they pick up from the outside. I'm wondering if there is some technique that could be used to make all pixels in the background a specific color (by mixing with its "opposite") to then improve the functionality of the fuzzy select or select by color tools.
