Aug 6, 2012No matter what resolution I save a jpeg at, they all seem to open at 480 dpi. I would like my jpegs to open at their native resolution. I have looked through the options and settings, but can't find the command to change this. (When I go to resample it always displays 480 dpi)

Nov 2, 2013I've been working on an image for about 4 hours... (PHOTO PAINT X4) The screen is now frozen with a small box saying ''out of memory'' I haven't saved the file for a few hours. Or has all this work now gone. I now also have this message with no text, what it might be and which button I should press!? Or is there some sort of shortcut to save.

Jan 30, 2012We need to draw/modify some CGM graphics for a customer. These CGM should include the attributes "apsid" and "apsname" for a "grobject", according to the AECMA (ASD) Specification S1000D Issue 1.9.
How can I set these attributes in Corel DESIGNER X5? I found a predefined element named "Name", but no element named "Id" under object data. Further, I found out, that when I change the name of a object through the object manager the element "Name" changes also.
We should deliver the CGM graphics as CGM GREX 2.6, so these two attributes have to be correct.
AutoCad :: Copy Paste Is Not Proportional When Pasted To Corel Draw X6
Apr 26, 2012When I draw an object (let's say a line that's 10 inches long) and paste it into corel the size varies based on how much I'm zoomed in.
fwiw I'm using 'paste special' and using picture (metafile) this way I can keep the points. if I just paste as autocad I loose the points, and an arc might become a rectangle as far as points go...
I'm having the same problem with DesignCAD actually.

May 18, 2011When i click my mouse to draw the cursor moves up and to the left of the position i started which makes any and all editing impossible. Imagine trying to draw a line but the starting point is a half to a full inch up and to the left of where you wanted the line to start. I've tried a clean install even changed my mouse. doesn't do it it drawx4 only photo-paint x4.

May 16, 2011I am making a background image for a website in Draw. The main part is Black.
I export as a jpg and the image looks fine when I view it.
Then if I open it in photo-paint the black is not black, but rather has a grey color to it. The image is exported fine and looks great when viewing it with the normal windows photo viewer program.
Something is happening when it is opened up in photo paint I think.

Corel DESIGNER Technical Suite 12 :: Create PNG File From Single Layer Of Multiple Layered File?
Apr 2, 2013Our company does not have the funds to upgrade so we are stuck with CD12. I am using using a windows 7 /64 bit machine. I created this xml template for the writers to place place their graphics in our author software.
I have 4 layers on my file - grid.guide,desktop and template. The template has the instructions and size dimensions. I have them put all graphics on the high lited desktop layer then when this is complete turn off the template layer. One can print this file with just the graphics showing with no problem.
However if I export this a PNG file both the template and desktop layers show up even though I turned off all layers. I just want the desktop layer with the graphics to show up. I have been using Adobe Illustrator for several years and this doesn't present a problem when saving the graphic as a PNG file.

Jun 22, 2011One of the reasons I have always liked PhotoPaint is because one can do some amount of video editing with it which is handy for animations or title frames to use in video editing programs. PhotoPaint has always been my preferred tool for making animated gifs from avi or mov files.
I see that it will open uncompressed avi or mov files but if they are compressed, it won't open them properly; such as showing the frames as solid black.
Is there a way to import additional codecs or filters or whatever for avi and mov into x5?
Corel PHOTO-PAINT X6 :: X64 Crashes On Effects Menu Open
May 1, 2012Downloaded the trial - Installed fine, loads fine, everything seems to work fine except the effects menu.
As soon as I try to open the effects menu it crashes... this happens in both Win7 x64 AND Win8 x64 (tried for fun) Corel X5 works fine in both, BUT its the 32 bit version... wonder if i should try that

Feb 28, 2013Till X3 Photo-Paint opened and saved transparent PNGs as a seperate image with attached mask.Example:I have an image and load a B/W mask into it.
When I save this as PNG and reload it in X3, Photo-Paint displays again exactly what I have just saved:
However when I open this same PNG in X6, the image and mask get merged into a single object:
It's in effect doing automatically a "create object from selection" function and discards then the background.Why? I can't work with the full background image anymore, because the transparent parts are missing, and the mask is also gone. Is there no way to open the full PNG, without any merging and deleting of masks, just the way X3 was doing it?Also, the only way to save a transparent PNG in X6 is to check "save only selected objects"? When I don't check this, but still check "transparency" in the PNG export dialogue, then the mask won't be saved nonetheless.

Apr 17, 2011A week or so ago VSX4 suddenly hiccuped and flashed up a message ‘send DMP file xxxxxxxxxxxxx to Corel’ and the program then refused to function until reopened. But I could find no obvious way through the support web site to attach a file to an e-mail, something which used to be possible for you or so ago. I finished up ringing the only Australian phone number on it could find on Corel’s web site and the lady who answered offered to forward my e-mail with DMP file attached to support. So far I have not yet received a reply.
1.Why did the program want me to send a DMP file?
2. link to a method for sending a DMP file to Corel?
3. How simple would it be for Corel to put a link to allow program users a direct route for this from the CorelGuide that appears on clicking the down arrow surrounded by dots?

Feb 18, 2012I have H & S X5. How do I convert a RAW file to Jpeg.
I click open and my RAW file opens in Camera Raw Lab, I make my adjustments and click OK - it then opens in PP but I don't have the option of saving it as a jpeg.
When I asked for the file ext to be associated jpeg shows in the filter but is not available as a 'save as' option. I can do exactly the same in PSE8 and have the jpeg option.

Everything is much more blue and with more contrast. I've worked with the different color models trying to adjust my image to get it more close to the original, but it's not going so well.

Oct 19, 2011I have three .des files that I cannot open. I can see the drawing in the preview window prior to opening but the files themselves won't open. Sometimes the error message I receive states there is an error reading a bitmap, other times that there is an invalid object in the drawing.
Given the choice of abort, retry or ignore, I click on retry which make another window pop up with the same message and choices. Clicking ignore only makes Designer crash. Is there some command in Designer similar to the audit command in AutoCAD that can save these drawings for me?

May 19, 2012When I first installed Adobe Photoshop CS6 I was unable to run Photoshop or Bridge CS6. Photoshop would give me an error about "could not open a scratch file because the file is locked. If I ran either of these programs as an administrator they would run without issue, this led me to believe that there was a permission issue somewhere. After some digging I found out the both Bridge and Photoshop try to create a temp file (similiar to Photoshop Temp2777223910092) on the c: drive of the computer. In my case the user that I was logged in with did not have access to write to the root of the C: drive. Note that you run the program as the administrator and change the scratch disk location as that changes the preference for the administrator user and not the user that you are currently logged in as.
I first had to give the user that I was logged on with write permissions to the root of the C: drive. Next try and run Photoshop, you will get an error another error about the scratch disk and about and invalid or missing setting file. To correct this you need to have run Photoshop as an administrator, next you can go to Users AdminAppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings and copy Adobe Photoshop CS6 Prefs and/or Adobe Photoshop X64 CS6 Prefs to Users<your logged in username>AppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Photoshop CS6.Adobe Photoshop CS6 Settings.

May 30, 2012I am trying to open a video to edit within Photoshop CS6 x64. I am getting the following message:-
Could not place the document ‘IMG_1664.MOV’ because no parser or file format can open the file.
The video was shot on my iphone 4S and ive even tried converting to other formats yet Photoshop still gives the same error. I have checked through Bridge and I have no option to send to Photoshop on the right click menu. try out the new features of CS6 for video editing.
I am running a 27" iMac with 12gb RAM and 1gb of Video RAM.
