View 2 RepliesIve seen a lot of this type of graphics pop up everywhere for sometime now. And i know from the animated clips that a lot of it is done in 3d. But if i were to create it in PS as a still frame, how do you go about making it look the way it does? I can imagine you could do it by creating lines and making copies of it and varying each a little bit, add some color overlays etc etc. And then there is the motion blur effect theyve got on it. Not sure how to go about that, but overall that looks like a lot of hard manual labour.

View 3 Replies View RelatedStreaks through their wipeouts when viewing pdf plots? It seems to come and go depending on how much you zoom into the plot. Attached is a simple example of what I am talking about, along with the source drawing, and a snip as I see it in Acrobat X.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIf I import the files from the camera disk directly into LR4, I sometimes get vertical streaks on the preview images.
Yet if I go to develop mode, the picture loses its streaks by merely entering and exiting crop mode without changing the image size.
If I import them from the pictures folder after they were imported through another program, I haven't had any issues. Go figure!
I believe this issue started when I upgraded to Inventor Professional 2014. When I print idw files with shaded models on my HP Designjet 500 plotter I get white streaks in the shaded model. I never had this issue with the 2013 version of Inventor. If I export the same idw file to a pdf then print the pdf file there is no streaking and the printed drawing is okay. Thinking it was a Designjet issue I spent a couple days on HP's discussion group to find a solution but now it looks like a software issue.
View 9 Replies View RelatedHow to create a flow arrow label for a feature line that parallels the curve?
I've a vague notion that this could be done with a dynamic block and a few fancy expressions. I'm comfortable with expressions, but I've never used dynamic blocks at all, so I wouldn't know where to start.
To be clear, I know curved text is possible, but I'm looking for a curved line (ie an arc) that would look 'parallel' to the arc of the feature line (ie have the same centre point). This would have to be dynamic to allow for different radii and for flipping to the left and right side of the feature line.
Having a time getting ribs to align 2m below top of ridge beam, and connect to curved wall below. I created one, then arrayed, but the radius changes at each 2.5 degree interval. I don't think I should have to calculate the % radius change to get the beams to do this. Some constraint button maybe?
Not sure if editing a wall profile is the best way to model this, but it's working.
I want to extrude a big number of pillars to a rather complicated surface and that works out fine. But each end of the pillars warps around the surface and I want them just to go up to it and stop with a resulting horizontal face.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am currently working in a facade that has a stylized gondola on it. The gondola has curved walls for the sides, and I need to have the curved cut to give it the shape. The tools I know are for straight walls, not curved. and the Opening/wall makes a squared opening, not curved.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am working my way through both Martin Evenings "PSCS for Photographers" and Barbara Obermeiers "PSCS for Dummies" (thats me I think) and I'm really struggling to understand curved paths.Does anyone know of a site that explains them in very basic terms i.e. kids stuff?.
As I understand it when I drag from a straight segment to create a new path for a curve and release the mouse and I should get an anchor point and one direction line and one direction point, but all I seem to get is what appears to be a tiny plus sign at the end of the line.
I need to figure out how to get a nice curved line. Just like the one below (in the label/middle area). A different designer made the bottle.
I know it has to eb the pen tool,
how I can produce curved text?
For example, txet that follows an arc, how to do distorted text, but that's not what I want.
I want the text to look normal as it follows, for example, an arc or circle.
Just wondering if anyone knew how i could put text into complex shapes?
View 11 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to draw a curved line, preferably with arrows at one or both ends? Lines drawn with the freeform brush are too jaggedy; I'm looking for something with intermediate handles that will make smooth curved leaders for text annotation of features in photos.
I've figured out how to make paths...what I'm trying to do is make a line that follows a path - without having the program "fill in" the path-defined region.

I want to kno how to achive curved lines, in PS as are used in curved graphics for the tops of say a box on a web page, eg.
on the right hand side the curved boxes title "take action" etc, how do i get the correct edges for the top part in PS
This kind of stuff makes my layouts look bland when i use normal HTML tables not being able to round stuff off to look neater.
i have been trying to figure this out for a while, how would i create curved lines like this in photoshop?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm making some graphics to be printed on a car. I have some lines with outer glow on them, but Illustrator won't render these unless I use 72DPI in raster effects reslution. I would like to go higher, but it won't give me anything. Guessing it's to heavy for Illustrator maybe? Is there anything I can do about this? I'm making my graphics in 1:1 scale, but I do it in a lower scale since it's just vector art anyway, however how would that effect my glow? Since it's a raster effect.
