Photoshop :: Cursor Changes To Hand And Locks Up CS6?
Jun 29, 2013I'm working along in PS CC (and this happened in CS6) and all is going fine. Then for some unknown reason the cursor changes to a hand and none of the tools will work. The only way to reset PS, is to restart the computer. Just restarting PS won't work.

Mar 7, 2006The cursor displays the Hand on any image I open, regardless of what tool is selected. I can select other tools, change the pallette and the cursor is normal but I go back over to the image and it goes to the hand and I can't do anything.

Feb 29, 2012Working away in ps cs5 and click on the direct selection tool and all I get is the hand (move) tool and what ever tool I click on I just get the hand tool! This happened in indesign too.
It goes back to normal if I reboot and just found that when i opened illustrator while having this prob in ps and then went back to photoshop the problem rectified.

I'm seeing two hands, two magnifying glasses, two selection tool arrows, etc.
How do I get rid of the doppleganger? It doesn't affect performance,
I have a second laptop with a different bluetooth mouse and have shut that off (machine and mouse) thinking it was picking up an extra signal, but it doesn't make a difference.

Nov 15, 2012For cropping part of an image, the cursor virtually snaps to positions according to what the programmer sees in the image. Maybe not always, but that is the way it seems to me in many cases. Even when it does not do so, I find it impossible to move the cursor in very tiny increments by using my mouse. If I were to greatly enlarge the image on the screen to get finer control, then only part of the image would fit on the screen. I want a technique for controlling the selection with as much fine precision as is available when resizing, for example. We can specify hundredths of a millimeter when resizing; very finely precise indeed.
Is there a technique that I can use to have very fine and precise control of a crop, preferably by specifying a movement left-right-up-down using decimal fractions of a unit of distance? The same question applies to using the selection tool.

Jul 1, 2012Why does dragging on a Touch Screen change the cursor into a Hand Tool? This did not happen in CS 5.5 and I could edit on my touch screen monitor. With Photoshop CS 6, as soon as I start to drag, the cursor changes to a hand cursor. I have look at all of the system options and nothing seems to affect it so I have to assume it is something wrong with Photoshop CS 6.

Jun 1, 2011When in full mode I can drag the image with the hand tool freely. When in normal mode I can't usually do that and the image remains "sticked". But sometimes when after reverting from full mode to normal I can drag the image as in full mode.
Is this a bug caused by my 8600 GT graphic card or it is something else? I would like to be able to drag the image in normal mode like I do in full mode.

Aug 16, 2007I just recently downloaded the Adobe Photoshop CS3 Trial, and I've been using it for a couple days now. I was using it today, and I don't know what I did, but my cursor is a 'Hand', but it seems I cannot do anything, or change to a different tool, such as a brush. I'll click the brush tool, but the cursor will remain the 'Hand', and same with all the other tools. I also opened another version of Photoshop that I own (Adobe photoshop 5.0), and the cursor there is also a 'Hand', and it's the same problem as in CS3.

Since sometime between Jan. and late march 2013 the size of the TIFF file has changed to approximately 16.5MB with the RAW file size, image size and print quality, at A4 size, remaining unchanged. Reprocessing a save 15.5MB RAW file that previously converted to a 28.74 Tiff file now converts it to a 16.31MB Tiff.

In opening some drawings made by a Non-AutoDesk program, I get the above message. There does not appear to be any problem with the drawings, I can work with them no problem with AutoCad, but the message seems to remain even after saving the drawing with AutoCad.
I know that setting DWGCHECK to 0 can suppress the message, but is there a way of getting rid of the message for good.
AutoCad 3D :: Recreate Remains Of Viking House
Mar 12, 2013I am trying to recreate the remains of a viking house that was discovered during excavations in the center of Dublin. I want to recreate the conditions of the house from when it was found. A part of this would be to create the 'wattled walls.
How to create this wattling - should I be using the pipe or tube method? If so, is there a quick command for tubes/pipes that weave around each other? I have attached a pdf of the plan of one of these houses.
Illustrator :: Layer Set To Multiply Remains Opaque (CS6)?
Oct 16, 2012I made a document with two layers, one with lineart, and another below it with some background elements I tried to put a new layer over the two of them by clicking the Create New Layer button, and after placing an object in the layer, tried to set the layer to Multiply by clicking the sleection circle, then "Multiply" in the Transparency drop-down menu. Nothing happened.
I then tried to set the transparency of the objects themselves to Multiply by selecting them and changing their transparency. Nothing happened.
I am able to copy the lineart and background layer and paste them into a new document, and have subsequently created layers appear properly when I set them to Multiply, but I have been trying to figure out what I apparently "broke" so that the layers would not display correctly.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: PVI Remains After Creating Vertical Curve
May 16, 2013I have a profile view of a street surface which transitions from a 2.75% grade to -0.52%. I would like to add a vertical curve so I can add a label at the high point of the street. However when I create my vertical curve, the original PVI is still there and the surface uses the PVI's elevation rather than the vertical curve's.
How can I get the PVI to either go away or have the surface read the vertical curve below the PVI?

I can preview video on LCD screen of camera but that is all. All the settings seem to be ok. (PAL). However, the options panel is greyed out except for insert to timeline option. Also, the video properties in the options panel are all greyed out. I have a previous version VS3 on another computer which shows the preview window OK on capture. Could this be the integrated video card in my new computer or is there something else going on here?

3ds Max :: Remove Greyed Out Text And Any Other Remains Left Over From Vray Uninstall?
Jan 31, 2014I have 3ds max 2014 design and had recently being trying out Vray.
I then uninstalled. Which went with no problems. However when I now right click mouse in viewport I see vray properties greyed out and it says missing beside them. These were the macro scripts that were removed.
How do I remove this greyed out text and any other remains left over from Vray uninstall?
