Photoshop :: Double Cursor - Hand, Magnifying Glass...
Apr 6, 2008I'm running CS3 Extended on a Dell Latitude 830 laptop with a Dell bluetooth mouse and a Wacom tablet -- the tablet plugs into a USB port.
I'm seeing two hands, two magnifying glasses, two selection tool arrows, etc.
How do I get rid of the doppleganger? It doesn't affect performance,
I have a second laptop with a different bluetooth mouse and have shut that off (machine and mouse) thinking it was picking up an extra signal, but it doesn't make a difference.

Apr 14, 2012How I could create a magnifying glass graphic using Adobe Photoshop? I did do a search but it mostly came up with instructions or info on how to create one that'll also actually have a "magnifying" or "glassy" look to it.
While just I want to create a simple one, just containing a circle and an handle attached to it. Kinda like the following:

Mar 6, 2012I just upgrade to LR 4. However in the develop module, whenever I choose my white balance tool and then hover over the image it changes to the magnifying glass. If I click, all it does is zoom in and out. The circle where the WB tool lives, is blank like it usually is when the tool is selected.
I've checked for stuck keys and still have same result.

Nov 15, 2012For cropping part of an image, the cursor virtually snaps to positions according to what the programmer sees in the image. Maybe not always, but that is the way it seems to me in many cases. Even when it does not do so, I find it impossible to move the cursor in very tiny increments by using my mouse. If I were to greatly enlarge the image on the screen to get finer control, then only part of the image would fit on the screen. I want a technique for controlling the selection with as much fine precision as is available when resizing, for example. We can specify hundredths of a millimeter when resizing; very finely precise indeed.
Is there a technique that I can use to have very fine and precise control of a crop, preferably by specifying a movement left-right-up-down using decimal fractions of a unit of distance? The same question applies to using the selection tool.

Jun 29, 2013I'm working along in PS CC (and this happened in CS6) and all is going fine. Then for some unknown reason the cursor changes to a hand and none of the tools will work. The only way to reset PS, is to restart the computer. Just restarting PS won't work.

Feb 29, 2012Working away in ps cs5 and click on the direct selection tool and all I get is the hand (move) tool and what ever tool I click on I just get the hand tool! This happened in indesign too.
It goes back to normal if I reboot and just found that when i opened illustrator while having this prob in ps and then went back to photoshop the problem rectified.

Jan 14, 2014I'm working on a short film for a friend. In the clips they have a man on a train by the window. As the train itself was stationary, they put a greenscreen by the window. I've added every effect to make it look like there is an outside and its speeding by, but it looks like there's nothing inbetween the man and the outside.
The outside is actual filmed B-roll of trees going by and is not a keyframed picture zooming by.
How do i make a "glass window" in adobie Elements... something I can bring into my project and but inbetween the man and the outside.
I do not have adobie After Effects. The only adobie Program i have is Elements 11.
I've looked online and can't find any pictures that work, and any search comes up with making a glass ball that magnifies the images inside of it.
Photoshop Elements :: Difference Between Hour Glass And Thumbnail
Aug 22, 2013I am using Elements 11 and was just saving a photo that I had just completed some edits on when the power went out in our area for just a split second. When it came back on and I went into elements orginizer, my photo was there however, it showed an hour glass where the thumbnail picture should be. If I click on the hour glass, my picture appears in full size. I can even open it up in editor and the photo is there. It is just in the orginizer where the thumbnail should be that the hour glass appears. After trying everything I know to correct this issue, I uninstalled elements from my computer and then reinstalled it hoping that this would cure the problem. how I might get the thumbnails to reappear. Also, since reinstalling the software, I have upload new photos and they too have this same problem.

I have created glass with the slate material editor, used specular 100, glossiness 80 in the Blinn dropdown. Ued mental ray. Looks good, very glassy. Now I want to put a pattern on the glass, like a silouette, only that it is also translucent, part of the glass, as though it was an "etched glass" pattern on the glass. Do i make the pattern into some kind of "mask"? and lay it over existing glass?

Jan 15, 2013I have loaded Photoshop 10 onto my Win 7 SP1 PC, and it seems to work fine, but when I load an image and zoom in until it exceeds the window size, then try to move the image around with the scroll bars, nothing happens. Since I am using the crop tool, when I depress the Spacebar and use the Hand Tool to move the image, then release the spacebar, THEN the scrollbars start working as they should. Loading another image starts this process all over again. Is there something I can do so that Photoshop 10 always allows Scrollbars to function on a newly opened image?
