i am trying to use a seamless vector pattern i created in illustrator in photoshop, however when i resize it it is rasterized. is there a way to keep it a vector and use it as a layer effect?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe files I am creating in photoshop are all coming out very pixelated lately. Especially after I flatten the image or export it to a pdf. This is true even for text layers, eps files I placed, and vector-based objects I drew. The photo layers are pixelated too, even though they were hi-res to begin with and I only made them smaller when I added them to my document. Why everything is so pixelated? I tried changing the file from 72 to 300 pixels/inch, but that didn't clarify the images. It just smoothed the edges a bit.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought a software which comes with a camera auto-focus calibration chart. The manufacturer mentioned that this chart is generated by a vector base program so customers can ajust the size of chart without any problem. The chart file is in pdf format.
When I use my Photoshop CS5 (on Windows 7) to print it from my Epson 2200 inkject printer, it only print the vector part without filling up the inside of the vectors enclosed area to black. Even the words in the footer are printed the vectors only (without fillup the word with black).

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a pretty basic knowledge of Photoshop and I am trying to change fabrics on curtains I have managed to do this but now I am trying to use pattern maker to create a tiled pattern with a fabric so it repeats correctly I have worked out how to start this off but every time I generate a pattern and tile it it becomes distorted I have tried increasing the sample detail but this just seems to distort it more.

I've created a work plane that I'll be using when I take this part into an iassembly. The problem is that the features I used to create this work plane (midplane between two parallel planes) do not exist in (2) of the (3) members...so it gives me an error message. I've tried adding the work plane to the table, but 'exclude' isn't a drop-down (and typing it in doesn't work). How to make the work plane "inactive" for those particular members?

I have a circular part on which I have created a linear pattern (using the rectangular pattern feature) of holes, 6 in total listed as 3 ccurrences. if we number the holes 1-6, I would like to make a circular pattern based off holes 2 and 5. I have been unable to figure out how to select the individual "occurrence" related to the hole once in the pattern feature. If I create the circular pattern first and then the linear and try to suppress the others it supresses both holes in the occurrence.

I have chosen different sizes in the pattern window but all show up with seams when I fill the larger space. Am I doing something wrong or is the largest size you can create with this tool seamlessly only 9x9?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've created a pattern fill layer and assigned a vector mask to it. How do I move the pattern around without affecting the mask? I realize if I want to rotate the pattern I'd need to convert it to a smart object, but if I only need to adjust the pattern location there must be some way to do that without moving the vector mask along with it. A traditional layer shows the vector and raster mask layer with a lock icon, but fill pattern layers are different for some reason.

I need to be able to node edit the created pattern. I'd also like (the option) to be able to scale the destination object, and the pattern scales with it.
I figure it be much easier to use/create a fill pattern then duplicate all day long. Now (as example) there is the built-in "Star Shapes" pattern which is a black filled star.
I need to be able to change that to a a red hairline stroke, no fill pattern as example.
With any lens, there is an inherent distortion. I've seen grids at photozone.de in their lens reviews. If possible, I want to use Photoshop to create the same distortion my lens would create. For example, if I photograph a sheet of graph paper, the result would be a distorted grid. Can I get photoshop to take an UN-distorted grid, and distort it in the same manner? How complicated is this, if possible?

I am using a Collegiate style font and then rasterising the text to allow different coloured parts and blending the letters in to each other. I have produced the image in small scale, but now need to redo the image suitable for printing at such a large size. I know I will have to start again from scratch but am concerned that it may be pixelated at such a large size.

I copied and pasted the logo I made behind itself with a different color just for a drop shadow-like effect. And now I'm trying to apply this diagonal line pattern I created over top the "shadow" I made to give it some texture.

I already managed to draw it in 3d but now i want to convert the drawing into a solid and keep it flexible to change the parameters by draging the notes.
I also tried to extrude a triangle with a specific angle but then i was only able to move the top note up and down changes the hight. Doing it this way the top note also kept beeping in the center-point of the triangle.
I work a lot with Processing to create picture based on mathematical formula, but i need to do the same in Illustrator in order to print those picture.
Is there any way to do this, like the expressions in After Effects, or a third party plugins.
Or did i have to find a way to output good picture from Processing.

I am doing some animations involving sine waves, and I can make an expression that controls the translation of an object such that it travels along the path of a sine wave, but I can't figure out how to dynamically create an editable sine wave curve.
Is there a way to have Maya generate a curve based upon the path that an object travels upon?
For instance I have a sphere that is moving along the X axis with time, and also moving up and down on the Z axis back and forth. I would like to make an editable curve object of this path of motion.
I can see in Maya 2012 we will have motion trails where we can see the actual path an object is moving along, and that we will be able to interact with this path to alter the animation, but what if we could take that path and make it an actual curve or NURBS object?
I developed a program in VBA that used a form to allow users to create new dwg files based on selected criteria the vba program would then create and open the new dwg file and in the case of sheet files, it would populate title block attributes as well.
In vba, the forms focus was carried to the new file so the application would fill in the attributes, etc. as described above,
However in vb.net, I have not been able to get the form to recognize the new file. The program creates and opens the file, however the forms focus is still on the initial file so any actions to be applied to the new file are not carried out.
I am trying to create a parametric seating row with a Generic Line Based family.
If you check the file for the Length (default) parameter, I am multiplying it by the Arm Distance (600mm) so that the pattern repeats while I stretch out the line.
=Chairs * 600 mm
I want to add a parameter for the Arm Distance linked with the actual seat so that if I make the chair wider the pattern would adjust accordingly.
=Chairs * Arm Distance3
This way I could adjust the chair width and Line Based family all at once. However, I am finding that when I add "Arm Distance3" to the equation the Line Based feature stops working.
I want to create my own vector brushes and use them in Photoshop.. I can create them in Illustrator.. but I dont now how to export them to photoshop.. if I copy paste.. they seem to become pixel based again.. and I dont really now how to make them in Photoshop...I recon you have more options in illustrator to create them...
