I tried changing the dimensions and such, in case it was too small, etc, and I had her restart photoshop to see if that fixed it -
How can I make the pen tool path solid black - as it is now it is kind ofdarker grey?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm using the Pen Tool to draw several paths; I need to draw each path with reference to the other, previously drawn, paths. This is where I encountered a problem with Photoshop CS3: whenever I create a new path, the old ones become invisible, and I can only see one path at a time - the one that's selected in the Paths panel.
Is there any way to control the visibility of the different existing paths (as you can, for example, with layers) and to make several (unstroked) paths be visible simultaneously?

Whilst CS 6 has some great improvements, I find running clipping paths in it very difficult. That is because in earlier versions of Photoshop, clipping paths showed up in the complementary color of the underlying color and were very visible. Now they are a darkish grey, which makes it often impossible to see them. You can go blind trying to see where you are clipping.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIn <CS6, you could click down on the eye-icon in front of a layer, move out of the layer tab group, move up a couple of layers, and then go back in, to deselect that layer too.
In CC, when you do this, it'll deselect all the layers in between as well. I'm sure this is working as intended, but it was a ridiculously useful "bug" (feature!) when it wasn't working this way.
Use-case: to instantly switch between one set of layers and the other. I know there are other options to do this with, but there's just no real reason to "remove this feature" (correct this bug?) because you already *had* the option of deselecting everything you move over in the first place.
Ive got like 300 layers, one of them being my main picture...this layer is all the way up in my list. When Im working on the bottom layers, I Have to scroll AAAAALLL the way up to turn on/off the visibility for that layer.. Is there a way to do this without scrolling up or down all the time?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a keyboard shortcut for "Toggle mask visibility"? I can do this by ALT-clicking on the layer's mask, but I would like to assign a shortcut for this on a button on my Wacom Intuos 4 drawing tablet. So far I haven't found a menu shortcut for it, nor have I found a way to add my own (Edit-Keyboard shortcuts) as the function isn't listed there.
View 10 Replies View Relatedi open up a file which contains more than 100 layers, some of them are hidden and the other are not, bascially i want to check out some of the hidden layers and i did on one, as we all know, by alt click the eye icon, we can go backwards to restore the original visibility settings of all other layers, my problem is i unhide one layer and then unhide another layer above and change the layer transparency to check out that layer, and after that i turned on another layers, then all the sudden i have found that i cant go backwards anymore, i cant restore all the original visibility settings, even by click undo many times,so right now i have 3 layers visible in the scene and cant go back to restore the oringinal visibility unless i revert the file,
View 2 Replies View RelatedAs I am using Layer Comps more frequently, i find myself frequently needing to toggle the visibility of layer groups, which contain several sub-groups. I tried all the shift + cmd + option - click variations, but none seems to do the trick.
here an example:
Visibility Type Name
OFF Group Row
ON Group Button 1
OFF Text Help!
OFF Shape Bg
ON Group Button 2
OFF Text Help Please!
OFF Shape Bg
so what i am looking for is a short-cut so that when i click on the visibility of the Group Row, it will turn on the visibility of all the layers contained.
I want to animate components hiding and then becoming visible again. Looks simple enough, I have all the keys placed with the correct settings and yet when I run the animation the objects don’t hide/show. If the object is moving however, the visibility control takes effect, but only while the object is moving.
If I hide/show before or after the motion, nothing but the motion animates. Is there a “Frustrate Dave” button that I accidentally hit or a hidden setting that prevents me from just animating visibility?
I've set up a visibility track on a very simple scene, changed to the scanline renderer, and it just does not work
View 4 Replies View RelatedCan I use ice to manipulate the visibility of an object? example; a particle enters an object and causes it to become visible but once the particle leaves the object the object disappears. Ive tried using test methods like test inside geometry, but I cant find the attribute to flag the view visibility as true or false. Been beating myself up for a couple days now I have drug the misc. visibility attributes from the explorer into ice but I cant flag them on or off.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhile making a drawing and there is something which I want to turn visibilty of for a while, I will select from a sub-menu "Visibility" (see the attachment) But what I must do if I want to turn the visibility on again for example to that hole shown in screen shot?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe client I have has 1 seat of factory Ultimate and 8 seats of factory premium.
The issue is the premium seats have an issue when you turn the visibility off on a part in the IPN you cannot turn it back on. This is on all the seats of the premium. There is no issue with Ultimate.
The service pack did not fix the issue. Now I know Autodesk there will never be a fix for this unless I up-grade seems to be the Autodesk way in the past 3 years.
I'm trying to create slices through a 3D model. it's a model of an underground mine and i need to be able to show each mining level in a separate layout. 3Dclip command works fine for isolating the linework, according to elevation, but it doesn't clip the text annotations although the text is placed at the same elevation as the linework. The result is a mass of overlapping text that appears on every layout no matter where I set the clip planes
i had heard there was a 3D text command in map2008 that might solve this problem, but I can find no reference to 3D text in the map2008 help files.
Showing/not showing the same wipeout drawin in Model space in different Vports?
I make a wipe out in MODEL SPACE to "clean" behind an annotative text (also switching off the edge), is it possible show this wipe out only in certain Vport with a certain scale without having "holes" in general view of the same drawing in a different Vport in paper Space?
Something like an annotative wipeout. I tryed also creating an annotative block but it's not solve the problem, it keep hidding behind the block. I'm using AutocadLT2010
For some of my asemblies I have had to turn visibility off in some parts.
How do I turn it back on?
Did something change in 2013 as far as the way surfaces are displayed in an idw? the surfaces always always had to be "included" in a idw view. now they come in as regular geometry.

I have 2 problems:
1. created a turbine whose blades are made from some planes that I applied thicken offset command. I applied circular pattern to multiply the blade around center point but i get too many planes and i must to make invisible each one. How can i make invisible all planes in the same time.
2. After i make them invisibile i exit from that part but when i start that part again or when i place it in an assembly all planes are visible. What should i do to make them invisible for ever.
I have a lack of expierence in using visibility checks. I created road profile , now i would like to check the visibility of it. Cuz my profile have hills , and the car driver must see other objects in the road . His sight in front should be 400 meters , eyes height 1 meter and the target in 400 distance should be seen by 1 meter tall.

Is there a way to have one of the items in your visibility selection be an attribute that only brings up the attribute editor box when you select it? Right now I have a block with several different angle iron sizes that can be selected and I want one of them to be "Special" so a size that isn't in the list can be typed in if needed.
With ATTDIA set to 1 the editor box pops up every time it's inserted but nothing can be edited. Can I get that to go away yet still keep ATTDIA set to 1?
I am rendering a scene for a 3D animation, so I have a left eye camera (LE) and a right eye camera (RE). At one point in my animation I show a screen showing a 3D movie, so I need the LE camera to see the left eye image and the RE camera to see the right eye image.
There doesn't seem to be a way in Max 2011 to make the LE camera only see the left eye material (and same for the right eye). I am currently manually changing the material but with the number of tests etc I know I'm going to get confused and mess up if I can't simplify this process.
Any way to make the LE camera see one thing and the RE camera see another - I can set this up via visibility (two objects, each visible to only one camera) or materials (separate materials or material IDs)?

Is there a way to set the visibility of elements in a 3D view according to the Level they are associated with?
The VG tab which opens the filter dialog provides a check box for the "Levels" category, and the relevant parameters are made available.
But I can not seem to create a filter rule which evaluates any of those parameters (name, elevation, etc...) to then isolate the visibility of those elements in the 3D view that either meet, or do not meet the criteria. Nothing seems to work.
To achieve a "similar" effect in a 3D view, I can use a Section Box, but that is a very clunky and imprecise way.I can also create a Shared Parameter for "Level" and perhaps filter successfully that way, but that seems redundant with the Levels intelligence already established.
I'm using BIMLink to adjust parameters in a model... If a dimension ends up being zero, is there a way for me to have conditional formatting to turn off visibility of a dimension with a zero value?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've attached a couple images of a visibility problem I'm having. The ROOF image shows the underlay view I'm using in the NO ROOF view in my revit project. I modeled all four of the dormer roofs the same, in place roof components, and they show up in the roof plan, but not when I use the roof plan as an underlay for my framing plan.
They don't show up when I toggle on the hidden elements tool either. I checked to make sure I didn't have coarse scale visibility turned off as well as if I had not visible in plan unchecked. These things seem fine, plus, as you can see, it shows up in it's own view. View range seems to be fine too. I can't figure out why these elements don't show up.
I am making a rolling time line that moves left to right. As certain years come into view, the roll will pause and text will fade in. The only way I know to do this is to get into the object properties and adjust the visibility. Is that the best way to do this or could/should it be done in the material somewhere?

Would it be a graphics card issue? Yes, I've got the latest drivers, but it happens on ANY machine I work on, with three different cards.
