I have lately been having some issues with text in Architecture 2009. I first noticed that within Mtext, when you hit the "UPPERCASE" or "lowercase" buttons, the text disappears in the editor, and no changes are made. Not the end of the world, but not handy.
Then it stopped letting me type in Mtext boxes at all. The return key seemed to work, but nothing else. Then it started converting text typed into Mtext boxes into (I think) Chinese characters. Really not handy. At this point I decided to try to reinstall. First I tried a repair, then reinstalled over the existing installation, then uninstalled completely and reinstalled from the disk. I've also done a windows restore, though as this has slowly been falling apart, I'm not sure when I should restore back to.
I have Mtext basic functionality back, but the "UPPERCASE" and "lowercase" buttons still make the text disappear.
Not sure if it's related, but I also get a Fatal Error e06d7363h at 758bd36fh about 4 or 5 times a day. Usually it's associated with the open command (ctrl+o), but sometimes it just happens at random.
I have a type layer with some text in it (a headline, let's say). I click on the layer, I click on the Character Panel, and first thing I see is the color in the Panel is not the color of the font in the layer.
I then click on any Panel property, and the text in this layer is replaced by text from another layer in my document ( a paragraph layer, let's say), but the color is not the same as the layer the text came from.
I choose the vertical type tool or the vertical type on a path tool or the vertical area type tool...and all I get are letters that are rotated 90 degrees clockwise that go down in a vertical line. The effect is the same as if I took one of these lines that I am typeing here and rotated the entire line 90 degrees clockwise. That is not the effect I want. I am tying to get vertical letters stacked on top of one another in a line going vertical. I watched videos and they simply pick the tool and it functions this way, but when I pick the same tool I do not get this vertical orientation of the individual letters, but the 90 degree rotated letter.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been using CS2, and when I use the color picker to choose a color, the hex number is in lowercase. i.e # 00ccff, but in CS and 7 if you were to choose a color everything would be in caps. i.e. # 00CCFF,
View 4 Replies View RelatedSince applying the latest Microsoft updates to XP/SP3 last week I can now no longer add Open Type 1 or Type 1 fonts to Fonts in Windows, and therefore can't add more fonts for use in Photoshop CS3. I tried a new hard drive, reloaded with XP/SP3 plus updates and the exact same thing occurs. Any of those types of fonts I try to add come up as corrupt/can't load, when in fact they are not corrupt and the exact same font files load with no problem in another XP/SP3 machine that hasn't had the updates applied, and they also load without a hitch in a Vista machine. Anyone else, who has all the updates installed noticing this? Anyone have a solution? I know that this isn't exactly 100% related to Photoshop only, but it does affect the program.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to have a lowercase revision number in a drawing (in fact, it's not really a number but a character).
All I can set is uppercase format or numbers.
Is there a script or a way to get true Title Case? Illustrator caps every first letter. Seems word does the same, can't believe that there still is not an option for this.

Simple question:
am trying to edit a text layer but i am unable to open the text box to change text.
It creates a new text layer everytime i click on the layer.
Is there a way to have a lowercase revision number in a drawing (in fact, it's not really a number but a character).
All I can set is uppercase format or numbers.
I am unable to post any type of media as well as profile photo.Either the site is offline or an unhandled error occurred.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIf we use the command ._Xopen to open a reference drawing, the file name of the reference file is converted to lowercase, and it gets saved this way if we save the drawing. (We typically name files using Camel Case and want to keep the file names this way)
However if we open the reference file by right clicking on the file name in the Reference Manager and choosing open, then the reference file is opened and the file name retains it's case.
i have a vb.net dll in network drive, everything is OK except on one machine which installed bluebeam, error msg as below:
Unable to cast object of type 'Bluebeam.Interop.acad16.AcadDocumentClass' to type 'Autodesk.AutoCAD.Interop.IAcadDocument'.
in my code, nothing is related to Bluebeam.
I'm using Illustrator CS4. I am unable to Create Outlines for a font after I had used the type on the Path Tool. I had used the ellipse tool to create a closed circular path, then I selected the Type on a Path tool. I selected my text using the arrow tool and ctrl-shift-o (Create outlines) and then I receive the message: "Can't Create type outlines." Not quite sure why this is happening. Did I miss something? The thing is this - my type is in the position and alignment that I want and I don't necessarily want to work with the Type as a Font but as vector shapes.

View 9 Replies View RelatedFirst it stops pasting anything except the first thing copied when Gimp opens, and now this. When I try to search for a font or type in text in the text tool in Gimp 2.8, it just jumps to random other tools instead of typing.
Why can't this program ever seem to work FULLY?
Today Illustrator CS4 decided to start crashing on me when I try to paste text into the art board. It will also not allow me to type text into the artboard. Whenever I try to type, it just does all the tool shortcuts. I have alread tried deleting the preferences and that hasn't worked at all.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a task I need to perform often. I create charts that have descriptive texts below bars. There are two lines of text... a company name, then data on the second line. The text is at a slant, so each bar has its own separate text (i.e., I can't create it as one continues piece of text... but the text below each bar —the two lines— are connected). I want the first line of text to be 8 points and 100% black. The second line of text is to be 7 points and 50% black. So let's say the text is 8 pt Arial. I highlight the second line and run the action on it to reduce it down to 7 points. No problem. Then I run a second action (ideally, I'd like to combine actions, but I can't as you'll see in a moment...) which turns that second line to 50% black. BUT... it turns BOTH lines to gray... not just the line I have highlighted. How can I stop it from doing this? It seems like if I have only certain text highlighted, it should only apply changes to that particulat text! Not ALL of it.
I'd like to combine both actions so that all I have to do is highlight the second line and run both actions. But I can't do that at the moment
I'll attach some photos that will hopefully make this make more sense.
I'm using CS6 on a Mac. The charts are initially generated online, if that makes a difference.
I am trying to print on photo paper from Ligthroom 4 with the Epson DX8400 printer, on Windows 8. Yet I can't change the paper type. Is it possible that Lightroom doesn't like Windows 8 or is more likely that my printer doesn't like Windows 8?The screenshot shows all that I am offered in the porperties section

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have several students working in 2012 or 2013 PC & Mac education edition who set the line type properties correctly but the line does not "read" correctly. Checked global scale factor, listed the content to confirm layer and line type as hidden, etc., checked the properties, made sure the line type and color were set to "by layer". It doesn't matter between model or paper space - the lines will not read.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI can't type text anymore. I choose the text tool, position it somewhere in my drawing, start typing but nothing shows up. I can see where I placed it because the small box is there. I tried adjusting to various point sizes, different colors, different fonts, but nothing seems to work. If I type something, what I typed shows up in the layer name but not the picture. Would anyone know what might be going on?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using photoshop cs 2.
Recently, I created an image and clicked my text tool and then clicked on my document, and when i tried to type... no text would come out. I can't use any letters, spaces, or returns. However, if I copy and paste text in it will show up but I cannot backspace it or add to it, but i can click to the front and my delete key will work. I have recently installed adobe premier pro if this has anything to do with it i am not sure. I have tried the repair photoshop installing feature, a full uninstall and reinstall, and dumping my preferences folder.
I'm on a normal document it creates the text layer and i get a blinking cursor i just can't type anything ... my keyboard is working fine because i can use shortcuts like (ctrl +t) and those work i just can't type anything at all...
before the full reinstall it would crash if i copy and pasted text in, but now it does not crash.
I am currently using photshop cs2(9.01). I am using xp with auto update. I have one gig of memory.
Everything was working fine, and now I can't type anything. The cursor does not move. I tried typing on the line also nothing.
I think I did something to create this problem.
I tried deleting the preferences file, but that didn't work.
I downloaded the Adobe CS6 cloud on September 1, 2012, and my laptop is a Dell-alienware m11x and it has 4 GB of RAM DDR3,it has an Intel i5 processor of 1.07 GHz,and it has a separate Nvidia graphics card.
So I'm pretty sure it should be able to handle Photoshop, but every time I go on Photoshop it makes my entire computer slow and the text key doesn't let me type in Photoshop.
No matter what I do, or where I've checked, I can't get text to show up on my either jpg or psd version of an image. The text box isn't too small (checked that), text is black on white background (check), even changed fonts to test that. I'm working on a PC, Windows 7, CC and/or PSCS6 -- tried them both.
