Is there a script or a way to get true Title Case? Illustrator caps every first letter. Seems word does the same, can't believe that there still is not an option for this.

I want to change the lower case words in shared parameters to upper case. Is there any way to make such a change in .rfa/.rte/.rvt file.

View 9 Replies View RelatedA friend gave me a bunch of newspapers to mock up and put on her site. Some of the articles are quite large, sometimes continuing to three different pages. My first thought was to scan them, mock them up in photoshop and have one LARGE page with the article that I created and people could scroll left and read the massive article.
Now I am thinking this would not be best for printing. Then I thought of the pdf multiple pages idea. Then there is the method of making the text editable and basically recreating the page like a newspaper article online.
In Illustrator CS6 I established a keyboard shortcut of Alt+Shift+Ctrl+= to the command Type-->Change Case-->UPPERCASE (and Alt+Shift+Ctrl+- to Type-->Change Case-->Title Case). In Illustrator CC, these two keyboard shortcuts are not working. They are displaying in the Type menu correctly, and the menu commands themselves work correctly, but the shortcuts do not work.

If we use the command ._Xopen to open a reference drawing, the file name of the reference file is converted to lowercase, and it gets saved this way if we save the drawing. (We typically name files using Camel Case and want to keep the file names this way)
However if we open the reference file by right clicking on the file name in the Reference Manager and choosing open, then the reference file is opened and the file name retains it's case.
Would you tell me why [b]vla-FullName[/b] returns a path in LOWERCASE (except of "Program Files" and other special folders) ??
View 9 Replies View RelatedArchitecture 2009 running on Windows 7. Dell Precision T5400 with a Quadro FX570 graphics card.
I have lately been having some issues with text in Architecture 2009. I first noticed that within Mtext, when you hit the "UPPERCASE" or "lowercase" buttons, the text disappears in the editor, and no changes are made. Not the end of the world, but not handy.
Then it stopped letting me type in Mtext boxes at all. The return key seemed to work, but nothing else. Then it started converting text typed into Mtext boxes into (I think) Chinese characters. Really not handy. At this point I decided to try to reinstall. First I tried a repair, then reinstalled over the existing installation, then uninstalled completely and reinstalled from the disk. I've also done a windows restore, though as this has slowly been falling apart, I'm not sure when I should restore back to.
I have Mtext basic functionality back, but the "UPPERCASE" and "lowercase" buttons still make the text disappear.
Not sure if it's related, but I also get a Fatal Error e06d7363h at 758bd36fh about 4 or 5 times a day. Usually it's associated with the open command (ctrl+o), but sometimes it just happens at random.
I have created a Document using sAIDocument->New().
Later I would like to change the title of the document, which I originally passed in on the AINewDocumentPreset.docTitle.
how I can do this programatically, or do you have to remove the document and start again?
i have created some dynamic title blocks with text attributes in title column. I have gone back an added some more attributes at a later date and these new ones will not move with my dynamic stretch! I have tried everything, modifying the action, re-doing the action, nothing works!

View 1 Replies View RelatedAny method when in the Library module to quickly edit the Title and Caption per image without having to use the mouse to click in the Title box each time. For instance - my current workflow is a bunch of products with their own SKU titles. Usually I would follow this step:
1. Import images from Camera -> Lightroom
2. Open Library and click on first image, select the Title field and enter the SKU (for instance : HG4356)
3. Now I would click in Title and type in "PROFILE" or "TOP" or "SIDE"
4. I would then use the right hand key on the keyboard to move to the next image in my filmstrip and then have to use the mouse to click into the Title field again.
5. Once all these images are completey named, I select them all and then select Library -> Rename Photos and use the Title_Caption as my fields and rename all my files to the correct SKU names.
I can usually automate option 3 somewhat by selecting all the PROFILE views and doing a sync etc... but the SKU section gets a bit tedious when having to mouse click each time into the field. Ideally, I would like a "Naming" feature where it asks for the name, upon typing it in and pressing enter, it jumps to the next image, into the same field and you can start typing again.
I know its sounds a bit lazy - but when you have over a 1000+ images to rename - it does take its time - and anything to speed up this process.
The title blocks that we use have prompted entries in them and I would like to find a way using iLogic to copy the entries from one title block to another within the same drawing; i.e.. if the user decides to change from an A2 to A1 drawing.
I already have an iLogic rule which allows the user to change the active border, title block and sheet size based on a form selection but would like it to capture the prompted entries already entered and re-use them after the change.
I have a title block inside my drawing and i want to link my title on the title of the file itself, so that if the title of the file was change, it will be change also inside the drawing.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I save an Illustrator (CS4 and below) file that has a document title and an author in the File Info tabs only the author field is properly transferred to the metadata of a PDF when using Save As PDF. The title field of the PDF gets the file name ("map_data_2006") and not the document title ("Map of Data in 2006"). How do I keep from re-populating the PDFs with metadata (which increases the file size after a resave) which is already stored in the AI files?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am developing a plugin that retrieves data from external system and fills the data in text ranges. The text ranges have a "type" associated with it. I want to display the type in illustrator above the text range (like a title), but should not be saved as part of the file - it should be dynamically displayed "for info only". I have seen a plugin doing exactly same thing. See the image below - has been rendered by the plugin I mentioned. The "Type" heading with border appears dynamically. If I switch to another window and switch back, the border and "Type" heading is redrawn. When exported, heading does not appear in the image. When saved, heading does not get saved. There are no additional layers, and the heading is not selectable. How can I achieve the same?
Looks like the heading and border is around the layer that consists of textrange.
Is there a way to hide/show title safe area in Illustrator?I know I can turn it on or off using the artboard options, but for ease of workflow I'd like to be able to switch it on/off as I can do using 'Cmd :' for guides?
I know I can show/hide video rulers and I have mapped this as a keyboard shortcut... but can't find any way to do the same with title/action safe?
How do I read input parameters from a script file title? For example, let’s say I want to run a script that requires 3 variables as input, but rather than prompting for the values I wish to read them from the script file name … e.g., Myscript (my_variable1, my_variable2, my_variable2)…where variables are all real numbers. So I assume the script name when run should look something like … Myscript (10, 10, 100), but how do I then read these and assign these values to a var within the script?

View 5 Replies View Relatedi'm having a problem with my photoshop CS. whenever i create a new type layer and begin typing, it will only type letter in upper case. i can't get any lower case letters.
i made sure that my 'CAPS LOCK' is not selected.
Using : Photoshop 7.0
Alright this is my problem :
I am creating a portfolio DVD with all of my work to make it look really professional with menus and whatnot. I want the cover art to be professional too, so I created a nice case in photoshop using this :
Document Size :
Width : 10.75
Height : 7.125
Resolution : 200
Resample Image: Bicubic
Then I set up my rulers and created my DVD....
Now when I click print, it says clipping will occur. Which I dont see why, cause the document size (in landscape mode) isn't bigger than a sheet of paper. (Which Im using semi-thin cardstock to print on) But it still says clipping. So I click ok, hoping it will work, and set it up for landscape. It prints out, but it clips and doesn't do the whole thing, it cuts off of the left and right side. Yet it still has alot of blank paper it could have used to print on, I checked all my settings to see if there is something I could have missed, but i dont see anything at all that can help me with this matter.
When I type text in PS CC, it is ALWAYS UPPER CASE. I cannot get mixed case. Fortunately I still have PS CS5 on my machine, so I was able to fix the problem there. What's going on? Windows 7 Home Premium.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to write a code that says if a door width is within a certain range to select a specific product. The range is something like 19" to 21" select hinge 1, if it it within 21.125 = > 24" use hinge 2 .... etc.
I am new to iLogic programming, and I am pretty much self taught. I am also getting used to doing things a different way so I can make iParts out of them. I already have my door dimensions in a spreadsheet so I can control it from there.
I am trying to make paper cd cases and I have made a cut-out/print-out version of it on photoshop cs2. I, however, am not sure at what size to print it out at. This may sound dumb, but I just held the cd up the the computer screen to see if it would be the right size and according to the screen it is, but not when I print it out.

My question is: The other side says that they can use a hex editor and carve out a thumbnail from a JPEG. (Which I can do In Encase)However they contend that the image can have a watermark or the date visibly stamped and thumbnail will not show this insformation.
In other words, can a thumbnail be visibly different than the image it comes from? The image came from a Canon Powershot camera.
