I am trying to make paper cd cases and I have made a cut-out/print-out version of it on photoshop cs2. I, however, am not sure at what size to print it out at. This may sound dumb, but I just held the cd up the the computer screen to see if it would be the right size and according to the screen it is, but not when I print it out.
Switching between paper/model modes in case of overlapping viewports,I got 4 viewports (screenshot is attached)
My issue here is that I couldn’t switch between the paper/model modes for the inside viewports! This can be done only for the “biggest” viewport (that bounds the other viewports)
Then how can I switch between the paper/model modes for viewport number 2, for example?Right clicking a particular viewport (attached) doesn’t give option to do so!
I tried to make an image that, when printed, would take up the entire sheet of paper (having removed the margins in the printing properties), but I seem to have failed.
I made the image 8.5 x 11 inches, but when I printed a test at that size it came out too small... is there a % bigger that I need to make the image to fit, or did I go wrong somewhere else?
How can I convert drawings on paperspace into PDFs and DWFs with the correct scale? I measured everything on paperspace and it's right; but if I convert them to PDFs and DWFs everything srinks a little and the scale doesn't match at all. What settings or ways to match the scale into what it's suppose to be to convert it to PDFs and DWFs?
Is there a way to make model space look like paper space? All the dotted lines I have to draw are always solid in paper space and then I have to go to paper space to see if they look OK (scale-wise). Kinda a weird concept to get used to. The problem is I will miss it sometimes until a print is made and you see see the mistake.
I am useing a Canon Pro 9000 MKII and when I try to print 11x14 paper, it will not alow custom paper size. The Canon printer driver does have custom size but it does not show up in printer settings.
i'm having a problem with my photoshop CS. whenever i create a new type layer and begin typing, it will only type letter in upper case. i can't get any lower case letters.
I am creating a portfolio DVD with all of my work to make it look really professional with menus and whatnot. I want the cover art to be professional too, so I created a nice case in photoshop using this :
Document Size :
Width : 10.75
Height : 7.125
Resolution : 200
Resample Image: Bicubic
Then I set up my rulers and created my DVD....
Now when I click print, it says clipping will occur. Which I dont see why, cause the document size (in landscape mode) isn't bigger than a sheet of paper. (Which Im using semi-thin cardstock to print on) But it still says clipping. So I click ok, hoping it will work, and set it up for landscape. It prints out, but it clips and doesn't do the whole thing, it cuts off of the left and right side. Yet it still has alot of blank paper it could have used to print on, I checked all my settings to see if there is something I could have missed, but i dont see anything at all that can help me with this matter.
I'm using version 7, I'm trying to create a curled paper effect then paste an image on the "paper". A couple of web sites suggested creating a rectangle then create a path or something like that and then using the pen tool and the "handles" manipulate the corners. I'm not sure if I have the terminology correct but the problem is that when I create the rectangle and go to add the path (the icon looks like a circle with handles on it) it's grayed out and can not be selected and manually creating a path with the pen tool doesn't work.
When I type text in PS CC, it is ALWAYS UPPER CASE. I cannot get mixed case. Fortunately I still have PS CS5 on my machine, so I was able to fix the problem there. What's going on? Windows 7 Home Premium.
I am NOT a professional in photoshop and am working for the Gov't in a Computer Forensic case. My question is: The other side says that they can use a hex editor and carve out a thumbnail from a JPEG. (Which I can do In Encase)However they contend that the image can have a watermark or the date visibly stamped and thumbnail will not show this insformation.
In other words, can a thumbnail be visibly different than the image it comes from? The image came from a Canon Powershot camera.
PS always unchecks the checkbox "Use Lower Case Extension" when saving a file, even though I specified in the preferences that I want PS to save default to lower case.
When I type in my font, Photoshop CS3 will only show the upper case character, and when I attempt to type the text in lower case, it just types the upper case but smaller. I don't have any problems with any other fonts, and this font works fine in every other text program I am working with...
I have tried un-installing and re-installing the font multiple times.
I understand that under the "system requirements" the Adobe website says that you can't install PS CS6 (Extended) on case-sensitive drives (I'm using a MacBook Pro, OS X v. 10.7.4). This seems to have been the case at least since CS5.I didn't see this, and I bought (quite excitedly) the update from CS PS5 (Extended) to PS6. I had NO PROBLEM installing PS5 on this drive.
Of course, as other users have indicated, the installer refuses to let you install on a case-sensitive drive (e.g., no options to install on another disk). There is also no mention that CS6 must be installed on the boot drive.Requiring installation on the boot drive has serious implications for those of us who require case-sensitive drives for other work; I don't want to have to reboot from another drive when I use PS, and switch back and forth -- that's simply foolish.
From my point of view (as a user, granted), this is lazy programming, and this needs to be fixed ASAP. At least in my case, I have a $400 lump of software just taking up space, when I want to be up to my eyeballs enjoying PS6 in all it's glory.
If I wipe my drive, format it as not case-sensitive, then I lose functionality for other critical work. Further, I'm not sure that the process of wiping the drive, formating it as non case-sensitive, and restoring everything from TimeMachine would even work (since the backup material is coming from a case-senstive drive and trying to go to a drive that is not case-sensitive).
I just upgraded my macbook pro to a new drive and 10.6, and chose 'case sensitive' HFSX, 'cause I'm a heavy command line user and wanted the maximum BASH experience.I'm trying to install the CS5 demo to try some web design tools, and the installer immediately says "Installation to case-sensitive drives is not supported. choose a different drive location to install." So case-sensitive drives aren't supported; crappy but fair enough.
The error message leads me to think that I can just choose a non-case-sensitive drive to install to, but I never get a chance to pick one - I click on the installer and it goes straight to the error message. So - how do I pick a different drive to install to? Am I just an idoit, is there no way to select a different drive, or will it not install on a system that even BOOTS from a c.s. drive, regardless of the format of the drive that CS5 is installed to?
I'm using PSE 9 on a new Mac Mini. I want to be able to save files with a lower-case extension by default. With my main (non-administrator) account, the extension is there, but it's always in uppercase. I've tried to select the "Use lower-case" option, but it always comes in upper-case, and when I go back to the preferences, the "Use lower-case" option is unselected. In my administrator account, I can't even get the "Always use an extension" option to stay selected.
When I print 11 x 17 paper on Epson R2880 in LR the image begins printing before the leading edge of the paper reaches the printerhead (not prininting borderless.) Only happens in LR and not PS. I am using the LR paper standards for borders.
I've just installed elements 12 and have added names to people, and added some keytags. Is there a way to save this information so when I back it up to a portable hard drive I have all the keytags and such if needed for putting on a new computer if for example the hard drive crashes and I lose everything.
In Photoshop Elements 10 one can create a CD using the edit menu "share/more options." This function seems missing in PSE 11? I am not seeking to make a label for a disc or a jewel case or to back up files. Has this function been dropped or am I just not finding same?
I am trying to write a code that says if a door width is within a certain range to select a specific product. The range is something like 19" to 21" select hinge 1, if it it within 21.125 = > 24" use hinge 2 .... etc.
I am new to iLogic programming, and I am pretty much self taught. I am also getting used to doing things a different way so I can make iParts out of them. I already have my door dimensions in a spreadsheet so I can control it from there.
Does Saveas really need to be case sensitive. I just spent a lot of time trying to figure out why my addin wasn't working and all that was wrong is I had a capital P on png.
Dim sPath As String = System.IO.Path.GetDirectoryName(sIDWName) & "PartsLists" Dim sFileName As String = System.IO.Path.GetFileNameWithoutExtension(sIDWName) & ".Png" vs Dim sFileName As String = System.IO.Path.GetFileNameWithoutExtension(sIDWName) & ".png" Dim sPNGName As String = sPath & "" & sFileName MsgBox(sPNGName) oCamera.SaveAsBitmap(sPNGName, 1124, 899)
Here is the original drawing I am trying to model in Inventor:
My front view looks like this:
My 3d view looks like this:
Compare my front view with the original and you will notice an extra circle. I am not sure why that is, but I think it might be because I may not have not modeled the backview properly.
I have a client that needed to know the distance required to make a stair case, and when I drew it wight revit 2013, I discovered that I could manually adjust the riser height but was unable to adjust the tread length. I was also unable to end the stairs with a tread rather than a riser, witch he wanted.
I have a single AutoCAD LT 2008 user who lost the ability to change the case on text in a drawing. Normally, he would highlight text, say it was uppercase, right click to choose change case and he would select lowercase and it would do as designed. Now, it simply deletes the highlighted text.
We've done a repair install with no result. Anyway to restore or fix this functionality?
