Jan 7, 2013I'm using PSE 9 on a new Mac Mini. I want to be able to save files with a lower-case extension by default. With my main (non-administrator) account, the extension is there, but it's always in uppercase. I've tried to select the "Use lower-case" option, but it always comes in upper-case, and when I go back to the preferences, the "Use lower-case" option is unselected. In my administrator account, I can't even get the "Always use an extension" option to stay selected.

Apr 15, 2013I choose the vertical type tool or the vertical type on a path tool or the vertical area type tool...and all I get are letters that are rotated 90 degrees clockwise that go down in a vertical line. The effect is the same as if I took one of these lines that I am typeing here and rotated the entire line 90 degrees clockwise. That is not the effect I want. I am tying to get vertical letters stacked on top of one another in a line going vertical. I watched videos and they simply pick the tool and it functions this way, but when I pick the same tool I do not get this vertical orientation of the individual letters, but the 90 degree rotated letter.Â

May 31, 2012I like the AutoCAPS setting in Mtext, however I occasionally use lower-case text when I am typing, such '2"x4" STUDS' . . . now, I do have a problem with AutoCAPS though:
Example - I copy '2"x4" STUDS" and paste it into another Mtext and the lower-case 'x' is automatically pasted as an uppercase character.
Are there any settings for AutoCAPS, or maybe for the copy/paste command that I can change to allow lower-case characters to be pasted into text when the AutoCAPS is on? It is a bit of a hassle to turn off AutoCAPS and turn it back on.

Aug 20, 2008When I type in my font, Photoshop CS3 will only show the upper case character, and when I attempt to type the text in lower case, it just types the upper case but smaller. I don't have any problems with any other fonts, and this font works fine in every other text program I am working with...

In Illustrator CC, these two keyboard shortcuts are not working. They are displaying in the Type menu correctly, and the menu commands themselves work correctly, but the shortcuts do not work.

Oct 4, 2013I've recently changed from another program to Elements 11. When applying a watermark, whether I set the font to 8 or 72, it appears microscopic on the photo (must zoom to see if its there). I've tried watermarking via adding text and via the "Process Multiple Files" applications with the same result. (The opacity is fine.) I don't know if there's a hidden setting someplace I need to change or if this is ann Adobe defect. Since I've recently uploaded the program, am resistent to having to pay for Adobe tech support!Â

Oct 22, 2013About a month ago I created a text using some font (font name is irrelevant, as this problem applies to other fonts as well) and then I saved the file, with white background, as png. Today I'm trying to do exact same thing with with exact same font, but somehow letters look different (a little bit). I'm using the same "text antialiasing" setting (hard), obviously same font size, document has same dpi. Month ago letters looked nice, for example "o" was symmetrical, now it isn't and it looks worse, but most important - different.
I haven't changed anything, haven't installed any updates etc. There's a difference, so something must have been changed, but what. I'm using Win7 64-bit and PHOTO-PAINT X6.

I have a few question. Which is the font used there? I tried looking through all the fonts in Corel and noone was the same. Sites like Whatthefont won't answer me correctly because the letters have white line inside.
My second question is this: I need to make the same design, so the white line should be in the letters. How to make that? Is this a font property or do I need to make it by hand? If it isn't a font property, how can I make it?

Jan 19, 2013Upgrading from PSE 10 to 11, I noticed that when I watch my images with the organizer in PSE 11 in full screen view mode (F11), while the images load faster, they are shown in a lower quality than in PSE 10 or any other version of PSE that I owned before. In PSE 11, after the initial viewing in full screen (in the "fit screen" mode), when I click with the mouse on an image to display the "100%" view, there is a delay and the program says "Loading...", after which the 100% view in the full screen mode appears. When I then click another time with the mouse on the image to get back to "fit screen" mode, I get an image of better quality than during the initial view!

So it seems like the program first gives a faster, but lower quality view of the image in full screen mode, and only after the user requests a 100% view, it actually loads the image with full detail, which is then preserved when going back to the "fit screen" view. This is a serious issue for me, because I also use PSE organizer to present my pictures to other people, and I don't want to show them some lower quality versions of my images, but the full quality ones, without having to first choose "100% view" and then go back to "fit screen".

How can I make the PSE 11 organizer give me a full-quality full screen image right away, as this used to be the case in PSE10 and before?
(I have both versions, PSE 11 and PSE 10, now on the same computer and tested this to confirm that the PSE 11 initial full screen view is of lower quality than the PSE 10 one. Also in PSE 10, there is practically no delay for displaying the "100%" view afterwards, indicating that the image was loaded with full detail right away.)

Dec 13, 2012If I transform a type with the transform tool or "command t" the font size displayed when highlighted doesn't update to larger font size. If the layer is selected the correct font size is displayed. I updated a coworkers's photoshop and he experienced the same issue.
