My PSE12 will only type CAPITAL letter no matter what font I choose. Started doing this yesterday and I can't get back to having upper and lower case letters.

I am using Photoshop CS and when using the type tool all of my letters are using uppercase letters. Does anyone know how I could use uppercase and lower case? I know it is pretty simple, but I just haven’t figured it out yet.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI choose the vertical type tool or the vertical type on a path tool or the vertical area type tool...and all I get are letters that are rotated 90 degrees clockwise that go down in a vertical line. The effect is the same as if I took one of these lines that I am typeing here and rotated the entire line 90 degrees clockwise. That is not the effect I want. I am tying to get vertical letters stacked on top of one another in a line going vertical. I watched videos and they simply pick the tool and it functions this way, but when I pick the same tool I do not get this vertical orientation of the individual letters, but the 90 degree rotated letter.Â

View 3 Replies View RelatedAbout a month ago I created a text using some font (font name is irrelevant, as this problem applies to other fonts as well) and then I saved the file, with white background, as png. Today I'm trying to do exact same thing with with exact same font, but somehow letters look different (a little bit). I'm using the same "text antialiasing" setting (hard), obviously same font size, document has same dpi. Month ago letters looked nice, for example "o" was symmetrical, now it isn't and it looks worse, but most important - different.
I haven't changed anything, haven't installed any updates etc. There's a difference, so something must have been changed, but what. I'm using Win7 64-bit and PHOTO-PAINT X6.
I have this text on a notepad and I want to make the same design in Corel Draw X6.
I have a few question. Which is the font used there? I tried looking through all the fonts in Corel and noone was the same. Sites like Whatthefont won't answer me correctly because the letters have white line inside.
My second question is this: I need to make the same design, so the white line should be in the letters. How to make that? Is this a font property or do I need to make it by hand? If it isn't a font property, how can I make it?
How to take the Castellar MT font and fill in the blank spaces in the letters with colour? I need to use this font because that's my company's font for their name and I'm trying to design a sign. I have used the blob brush, but I keep getting tiny little specks that look like they're not filled in.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I installed PS CS4 and all updates. When I create a new file or open an existing one the window (in the PS window) which is supposed to show the photo just stays grey. At the same time that little picture in the layers tab showing a small version of the picture Ive opened is clearly visible and changes if I draw on the big one. That problem occurs both in 32 and 64 bit versions of PS. Im using windows vista x64 ultimate with latest updates and Nvidia 8800GT 512 mb with latest drivers.
View 7 Replies View RelatedIf I transform a type with the transform tool or "command t" the font size displayed when highlighted doesn't update to larger font size. If the layer is selected the correct font size is displayed. I updated a coworkers's photoshop and he experienced the same issue.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI appear to have come across a bug after updating Photoshop to latest version. This has happened on two of my machines.

Basically, if I set my font size to say, 12px and then scale this bigger with transform tools making it huge in size. When I click back on it with the type tool, it still tells me the size is 12 px. Even if I then change this to say 6px, it will downsize the huge font to half of its size and not down to 6px.

Just an addition to this, I just reinstalled Photoshop, tried the above before updating and it worked as you'd expect. When scaled the type up using transform and then clicked on the type it would say it was 152.8 for example. If changed it back to 12, it changed back to 12.

Updated my Photoshop to latest update, scaled it up and clicked, said it was still 12pt. Very confusing, but has to be an issue with the update.
I have the Adobe Font Folio (Open Type) but I don't know where to start. I do a lot of small ads and so I use a lot of small type.
Does anyone know which fonts in this pack are good for small type? Maybe something thick that will look better at a smaller font size.
I've tried going through the fonts by highlighting the font name in the box and using the arrow keys to rifle through them, but as you know, it highlights what's on the page, making it near to impossible to see how the font would actually look if it weren't highlighted.
I installed a bunch of fonts and ever since then Photoshop has been crashing when the font preview menu is accessed with the type tool. So I deleted all fonts except for the required system fonts I believe. But it still crashes when I access the font preview menu. I can't provide a crash log now.

I thought it would be possible to copy out a letter, select the arrow tool and then paste it back in as a separate element but that does not seem to work. Is there a way to do this in Elements?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am overlaying a name on a metal plate and have a font style and size picked out, but I need to increase the weight of the individual letters, mainly the "light strokes". I tried the tedious process of outlining each letter with the Magic Wand tool, expanding by 3 pix, and filling, but one letter would then touch the next, so selecting the next letter would then incliude the letter I'd already expanded. Outside of picking a different font, is there a way to increase the weight of a group of letters? I'm using PSE 7 on a Win7 computer.
