I've painstakingly oriented all the joints in my human ik skeleton and then saved the file out as a backup. When I reload the file and go to component mode to view the joint orientations they are all messed up again. I've gone through this process twice with the same results.
Whenever i save a file, and then try to open it later on, it wont open. Nothing happens (just like I haven't clicked anything). It does this is I double click the file or I do File >Open. However if i save the file as 'Version 13' it opens fine. I decided to re-install Corel Draw (a number of times), but the problem is still there!
View 15 Replies View RelatedI opened and modified several JPEG images with Photoshop CS2. Now none of these files can be opened by Photoshop or any other program. All of the files seem to have a non-zero size, but when I try to open them in Photoshop, it does not generate an error, it merely offers to create a new file with the same image properties (size, etc) as the saved image on disk.
I've also tried several other programs to open these files, and none of them can open them. FYI, one thing that all of the files have in common is that they are all saved with the absolute minimum compression settings.
I created an album, and then a slide show containing almost 200 slides. I was sure to save and name it; now I can't find it. When I open Photoshop Elements 9 there are no menu items,( i,e, File, View, Edit) across the top, so I see no way to "Open Saved Project". I can see the album listed on the right, and can access the original photos from there, but I can't find the slide show.

There seems always to be an uncompressed compatibility image in 32-bit PSD and PSB, and in 32-bit layered TIFF. That's regardless of Maximum Compatibility being disabled when saving. If Maximum Compatibility is enabled, there correctly is an uncompressed composite in the file.
If Maximum Compatibility is disabled, there's an overhead equivalent to an uncompressed image with the document's size. I reckon the all-white compatibility image is uncompressed! If any image should be compressed, that surely is it. What a ridiculous waste of storage space. An unnecessary consumption of hundreds of MB per document in many cases.
This uncompressed compatibility image would explain why an embedded 32-bit PSB which stores the IBL of a 3D Layer consumes the enormous storage of a large uncompressed 32-bit image despite it being compressible to a few hundred KB.
I set up my file. I set my controls to where I want them. The Control Curves are in position. I save. Everything is going well. When I reopen the file, control curves have spontaneously moved. Without permission.I've done several experiments with different results, but the same problem: the control curve of my rig are moved from where I had them when I saved the file.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI rendered an animation and saved it as .avi file. But the file size limit to 0.99 GB so only first few seconds of the animation was saved.
what I can do to increase the file size limit so the animation can be fully rendered and saved?
Whenever I try to upload a video clip, it only shows in timeline format and when I try to convert it to frame animation, it says "The video will not play back in frame animation."

View 4 Replies View RelatedI saved a file last night and now this morning I get an error message stating: "Photoshop CS5.1 Extended: Could not complete your request because there are too many Files Open. Try closing some windows and try again.". I've rebooted the system and made sure Photoshop was the only program running and that there were no other files open prior to trying to open my file. I increased Photoshops ram usage, checked the OpenGL settings, 3D and VRAM settings, cleared my temp files and am at a loss for opening this file.
System Specs:
Win 7 64
6 core I7 processor
32gb Ram
3GB VRAM
600gb free space on 7200 rpm drive
File specs:
1 3D object replicated maybe 5 times (yes, I should have rasterized them, and will do that to 4 of them if I get the file open)Maybe 8 textures..Not sure how many total layers.
Is there anyway to get Photoshop to reopen this file?
I'm making a short animation on 3ds max design, it's supposed to be about 10 seconds, and I can't seem to find where I can control the animation speed. I render out the frames to AVI format, (abot 250 frames) but when I play the animation in VCL or any other mediaplayer, it seems to lack length completely - the timeindicator shows 00.00.00. I attached just a test animation, it's there but something's wrong..

View 6 Replies View RelatedFor no apparent reason, and all of a sudden, PS CS6 on this PC will not open any previously unopened psd files. It will open them if I've opened them before. Running win7, have all the latest drivers, versions, etc, including the latest video drivers. Same files will open on my laptop with CS6 no problem. Also files open in CS5 no problem. I did the ctrl+shift+alt deal to reset... Is there a way to just reinstall PS?
View 7 Replies View RelatedIn Photoshop CS3, I crop or use the Image Size to get, say a 5"x7" image at 300 dpi. Then I do a "save as" as a jpeg image. Then I re-open it and it's not 5x7. Instead it's 8.75" x 6.25". When I look at Image Size again on this new, previously saved file, it displays 8.75" x 6.25" at 240 dpi.
I uninstalled and re-installed Photoshop CS3. I looked at my preferences to ensure it was displaying in inches and not centimeters. It is.
One thing to note is that this once worked and now it does not. I'm running with version 10.0 on Windows XP.
I've tried deleting all preferences. I was working with the camera originally then suddenly the keyframes wouldn't appear as red lines (there was only 1 camera) and appeared blank, i deleted these 'blank' keyframes and ever since I've been unable to play the entire camera sequence, the timeline simply sits at 0. I've tried a new camera with it's own keyframing but to no avail, it refuses to play.
edit: I just tried in a new scene also, same problem. It's making it near impossible to preview animations in real-time.
I have a base human CAT and have attached it to a node that is constrained to a spline. I have a 300 frame animation and have 300 set for the end of the CatMotion Range.
Under 'Stride Parameters' no matter what settings I use for 'Max Step Time' and 'Max Stride Length' I always have a 'Velocity' of .842 as it never changes. I'm trying to get a really slow walk of about one step per second.
I set my stride length of a comfortable distance so it doesn't look like the rig is taking too long of a step and then I drive my 'Max Step Time' up to try to slow things down but it doesn't change anything. I'm obviously overlooking something.

While editing a photo in CS3 the program shut down and will not reopen my psd file. The error message reads "cannot complete your request because of a program error" -- it is a very large file (I have been saving it all along) and I had just "flattened layers" and went to open up a new, blank photo file when it shut down. Is there anyway to get this file to open?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to customise my drawing templates to keep them up to date and also include accountability.I seem to be having trouble in including the name of the person who has last saved the model, and the date the model was last saved.
Manually including this information isn't ideal as people will forget, and it makes it harder to trace revisions.I can't see anywhere on the iProperties where the 'Last saved by' feature is available, but I thought maybe the information could be pulled from the username from the application options?
The last saved date should be easy, as there is a modified date in the model's iproperties; however, I cannot pull this information.I have used other cad packages in the past and this was never an issue. With all the customisation of Inventor, I thought this would be relatively straight forward.
I have a capstone lab project due tomorrow for my graphic arts class and I made a HUGE mistake!!! I created an image using 20 something layers and did SAVE AS as a .xcf image (with all layers open). Part of the project was to save in different formats: .xcf (with open layers), a .png, and a .jpeg (optimized). So, I did the first save and then flattened the image to SAVE AS a .png with a different file name.
Long story short, I was tired and had way too many images open at once. When I was closing all of the images I accidentally saved the changes (flatten image) to my original .xcf (with open layers)!!!! Now, my .xcf that is supposed to have open layers only has one layer...the finished project!! I tried going to the file properties to restore a previous version, but it says that no previous versions were found! I also downloaded a norton "unerase" utility, but maybe I am not scanning properly to locate the file!?!
When a raw file badge shows that the file has been changed, I use Metadata Save to File & for the large majority of my images, the badge goes away and Metadata Status Changed does not show the file. For some of my files, however, the Save to File command doesn't work properly. If I am only displaying files with changes, the file briefly disappears, then returns. Even if I go to Windows Explorer and delete the xmp file, then again Save metadata to file, it pops up again with the badge saying it needs to be saved. I'm using Lightroom 4.3 64 bit on Windows 7.
View 12 Replies View RelatedSo, I render an image and also have a render elements ambient occlusion (for example) pass that comes up. If I were to accidently close the ambient occlusion rendered window before saving it, how can I get it back up? I know it's possible to get the main render back by clicking the 'Rendered Frame Window' button - is it possible to get all the render passes back up?
This of course assumes I'm not saving to file and am instead being stupid and closing the ambient occlusion window before saving it. It's happened... and is annoying to render the whole thing again just to get it back.
Secondary question: can a render pass be rendered separately?
