I rendered an animation and saved it as .avi file. But the file size limit to 0.99 GB so only first few seconds of the animation was saved.
what I can do to increase the file size limit so the animation can be fully rendered and saved?
I am doing a rendering of a timeline with approx 1900 frames. I am using mental ray as my render engine. After the rendering runs its course, approx 20 hours, it completes with no problems. I open the saved avi file and the clip only captures the first say half of the rendered frames. I have done this 3 times now and for what should be approx a 60 sec clip i only get 36 sec.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been a long-time VideoStudio user and recently installed the trial of X5 (my last purchased version was X2, but, it's time for an upgrade ). VS X5 is installed on a Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit PC. If I capture to an internal NTFS drive, the tapes capture as a single ~19 GB AVI file; however, if I capture to my Linux NAS server with ReiserFS file system, VS breaks the captured files into 4GB chunks and I end up with five files per tape. There is no 4GB file limit on ResierFS. I have copied several 25+ GB blue-ray files to the NAS with no problem. ReiserFS has an 8TB file size limit. Captured through another video editing program, I do not have this problem. It appears that VS X5 assumes a 4GB limit on network devices (or, at least, on my Linux - ReiserFS NAS).

Any other filter or tool that I need works just fine on these size files. Neither tweaking CS3 preferences (as has been discussed rather thoroughly on this forum) nor toggling the 3 GB switch under XP (my PC has 4 GB ram and >200 GB scratch) helped. Given optimal settings, what are the upper dimensions that I might reasonably expect to photomerge, either under XP or Vista 64? If its not unheard of to photomerge and auto align huge files, Id upgrade my system. Otherwise, Ill plan the upgrade and wait for CS4.

I have two tiff files:
Tiff 1: 283MB, full resolution ( 2336 x 3504 )
Tiff 2: 233MB, full resolution ( 2336 x 3504 )
Export witht: 574 x 1000 image width
JPG 1: 168kb
JPG 2: 194kb
Both jpegs have 600px x 887px (fram with mogrify plugin#) and 100%jpg quality.
Whe I set a limit to file size of 154kb, I receive following:
JPG 1: 102kb
JPG 2: with error ( couldn't create jpg which fit's the file size limit of 154kb )
If I export the second tiff manually with 90% jpg quality and no filesize, I get:
JPG 1: 114kb
JPG 2: 135kb
So it seems that the "limit file size" isn't really working.Also it seems that Valus between 92 and 100 ends in: same as 100.
I take a large number of event images and the usual client request for images being sent to the press is image size rather than resolution, dimensions or other requirements.
Clearly in LR3 if the client has requested 3MB jpg the easy option is to after processing take my Canon 5d mkii RAW file and just hit export to max 3MB jpg.
My question is is it better - ie image quality better - to export by resizing longest edge to approx 3000 px and exporting to jpg which results in a similar file size, though different pixel dimensions? Or are they effectively the same?
In CS4, I could have as many undo as I liked, while there only seems to be a default of 20 in CS5 and CS6, or maybe I just can't find how to increase this limit.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a simple way to limit the file size of the photos selected in LR3 for a photomerge in PS5?
I have found that without limiting the size, the panoramas generated are very large - 1GB or greater.
I've found an work around by opening the photos in Bridge and then in Camera Raw where I can reduce the file size before using PS5 for photomerge. After I've done this, it's a bit of a hassle to get the panorama back into LR3. The benefit of this approach is that it speeds up the processing significantly and downstream with any subsequent processing since the files are just large and not ginormus.
If this isn't possible, this seems like a good idea for LR4.
I am working with a series of long movies and need to stitch them together and put timecode on them. I found that there is a limit for how many frames I can offset, which is 32,766. Is there a way to get rid of that limit?

I also notice eps files are no longer supported when clipping paths to InDesign. Is eps file type being deprecated?
My question is: do all types of hatching increase the drawing file size or does solid hatching behave differently and only add a few kbs rather than a few hundred?

I am able to save the rendered image when it is produced in its pop up box, but then when I try to import the image so that it can be plotted and printed it says that autocad doesn't support the file.
I have somehow managed to save a rendered project in another projects library.In the share tab I cant find a way of browsing to this rendered (vsp.mpg) file in order to open it and continue in the create disc process.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am trying to optimize some images for web to have a smaller file size. I am using "Save for Web" feature, and every time I try to save a file, the actual file output size is a lot bigger than the size it shows on the "Save for Web" dialog.
For example, I have a 607 bytes .gif, when I open "Save for Web" it shows 207 bytes for 16-colors but when I save it the output file is 1.22 kb.
Spent 9 hrs creating a slideshow that I saved. Closed PSE 11 and reopened and can no longer find the slideshow. When I select Find, Media type, Project, nothing appears, but there is a gray box in my grid that says "File size too large". Is this my slideshow and if so how can I recover it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an Adobe Illustrator CS6 document with body copy set using 6.5 pt. Helvetica Neue LT Std. - Bold Condensed & Light Condensed.
After saving the file as a PDF in Illustrator using the [Smallest File Size] setting, closing the file, and opening the newly saved PDF in Illustrator - the 6.5 pt. text is now 5.53 pt. with a vertical scaling of 117.65%.
This PDF is for client review purposes - on screen or laser print - not for reproduction. We try to keep the file size as small as possible to make downloading and e-mail attachments manageable.
In this case, my client is opening the PDF in Illustrator to double-check the text point sizes for legal & regulatory purposes.
If I save the same Illustrator file as a PDF using other settings like [High Quality Print], the text size is unchanged.
I was able to repeat the issue using Helvetica LT Std in place of Helvetica Neue LT Std.

Any tips on smoothing out animation rendered at 24p? My sequence is 29.97. The shot is of two cars going across the screen and I'm trying to smooth out the stutter. From what I've read side to side motion is the not good for 24p as it really shows the stutter. I've tried various timewarp settings but nothing works. Do I need to have the cgi guys re render at 29.97 or 30fps or is there a technique for smoothing out the motion?

I got two error messages:
"The miminum size be reducing the bit rates still cannot fit once disc."
"Convert step got some problems."
What are the minimum requirements for fitting a video file to a DVD?
I have a relatively flat shape with many curves on the edges. I am trying to intersect a plane with all the curved edges and do a Boolean intersection. It worked with a less complex shape but this one has over 19000 objects. Any size limit on Boolean operations?

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen a raw file badge shows that the file has been changed, I use Metadata Save to File & for the large majority of my images, the badge goes away and Metadata Status Changed does not show the file. For some of my files, however, the Save to File command doesn't work properly. If I am only displaying files with changes, the file briefly disappears, then returns. Even if I go to Windows Explorer and delete the xmp file, then again Save metadata to file, it pops up again with the badge saying it needs to be saved. I'm using Lightroom 4.3 64 bit on Windows 7.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have been designing for a lot of mobile sites these days, in particular: iphone retina display (640w). Most of the time these designs can be long in the tooth with the height of these documents - exceeding 8000 pixels at times. I noticed that 8000 pixels is the threshold limit for the "save for web" export. Anything greater than 8000 pixels will be downgraded in quality on retina devices by scaling the image. The jpg will still be the correct height and width, but when viewed on an iphone, you can easily see the degradation. Images and text are blurry.This is no bueno when trying to show a client what their site will look like on an iphone.
A preference to be changed? Am I missing something to get the full quality of my design comp in order to preserve retina display quality?
